Cat Deeley takes style notes from Rochelle Humes with ‘classy' co-ord

Next fans have praised the 'beautiful' co-ord, with many saying the set earned them plenty of compliments The This Morning presenters are an endless fountain of fashion inspiration - so much so it appears they're even turning to each other for style notes. It comes as Cat Deeley has stepped out in a 'classy' and 'beautiful' co-ord this morning, from fellow presenter Rochelle Humes' edit with high-street retailer, Next. The 48-year-old wore the Brown Glossy Satin Polka Dot Maxi Skirt and matching Brown Glossy Satin Polka Dot Halter Top for Thursday's episode, with the matching pieces giving the illusion of a maxi dress. Shoppers have been heaping praise on the two-piece, saying it's earned them 'lots of compliments' - and it's not hard to see why. Chocolate polka dots are a timeless trend, with the print being a mainstay in the wardrobes of royalty. Kate Middleton has been spotted in similar dotty designs over the years, so we're at no risk of it ever going out of style. You only have to glance at the likes of ASOS or Nobody's Child to prove it, with both fashion favourites currently flooded with similar patterns. The Next skirt has earned much praise from shoppers, with one five star review reading: 'The quality of the material is stunning it hangs lovely and I love polka dots. Little bit expensive but it will never age.' The skirt comes in at £50, but as the customer mentioned above, it's an investment piece that will be worn for years to come. It's available in regular or petite sizing, featuring pleated detailing and a smooth satin fabric, finished with an elasticated wide waistband for a comfortable fit. 'Beautiful skirt and really comfortable,' said a second shopper. ' Very classy in my opinion. The colours are lovely and there's a matching top available. Perfect for tall women.' However, it may not be ideal for those who prefer a low maintenance look, with one review complaining it needed to be ironed. They said: 'I absolutely loved the colour and fit of the skirt but it creased so badly.' Another glowing review penned: 'Beautiful skirt, which is lovely quality. A great length for me (5ft 9 height) Got lots of compliments wearing the outfit, along with matching top.' Like many of the Next shoppers, Cat wore the skirt with the matching top, which is a little more affordable at £32. Made from a soft satin fabric with an all-over polka dot print, it's finished with a tie fastening and is perfect for summer styling. This has also received much praise from fans. 'Love this top.. so comfy and classy,' said one. 'Sizing is perfect. Bought this and the matching skirt. I really love it and yet it's a colour I wouldn't normally go for. Got great compliments when wearing it.' One way to get a similar look is the Brown Polka Dot Bandeau Felicity Midi Dress from Nobody's Child, priced at £99. A semi-fitted style, the bandeau number comes with removable spaghetti straps, meaning shoppers can choose if they want to wear it strapless. Styled by Rachael Hughes, Cat opted to let her Next co-ord do all the talking, pairing it with a simple, cream heel. On the site, Rochelle, modelling the outfit, also plumed for a neutral heel, with a cutout design and slingback. Rochelle's collection, which launched a few weeks back, is made up of timeless linen fabrics, colourful fitted co-ords and some suitable summer knits for the UK's unpredictable climes. It's been incredibly popular with shoppers who adore her clean, minimalistic aesthetic, and can now count Cat Deeley as a fan, too. With not one, but two celebrity endorsements, I predict this co-ord is likely to sell out before the weekend. For those wanting to get their hands on it, it can be found on the Next website here.

Food Picks: Steaks and sides on Skirt's new menu

Contemporary restaurant Skirt is the kind of place you visit for a hit of escapism. Nestled in the bosom of W Singapore, near Sentosa's eastern tip, is it far away enough from the incessant buzz of city traffic to offer a bit of a breather. The idyllic waterfront views do not hurt either. The menu, however, is not too much of a departure from what one might find along, say, the Tanjong Pagar supper belt. Refreshed and beefed up with a suite of non- bovine options, it prides itself on the kind of open-fire, whole-carcass cooking favoured by modish mainland restaurants. That is not to say the food tastes tired, though. On the contrary, chef de cuisine Lim Zhi Wei grills, chars and dry-ages with exquisite precision. He has amassed a respectable collection. There are grass-fed varieties, full-blood wagyu steaks, a USDA prime Angus T-bone, as well as a variable selection of special cuts. It depends on what you are looking for in your steak. Dry aged T-bone from Skirt. PHOTO: SKIRT If you prefer something with a bit of chew, try the Blackmore Skirt Steak MB9+ ($98 for 200g), prized for its beefier heft. For a more buttery bite, the A5 Kurohana Wagyu ($128 for 150g) from the special cuts menu is a good bet. Though milder, it melts in the mouth, coating the tongue in a silken sheen of fat. The restaurant's other plate of prized red meat is its dry-aged duck (from $58), trimmed with glassy strips of fat that have been crisped up on a lively flame and glazed with an orange gastrique. A golden nugget of foie gras and a couple of fermented blackberries round off this elegant procession. All this richness guests can slice with their pick from a chest of knives, encased in hilts forged from materials such as concrete, resin and carbon fibre – part of the restaurant's attempt to curate a more personalised experience, down to the smallest detail. This extra touch does not necessarily make the food taste any better, but it is hard to deny the modest thrill of getting to wrap your hands around a beautifully crafted blade. This care is extended to the side dishes, which hold their own even on a table overcrowded with heavyweight mains. The charred hispi cabbage ($18) and lightly oceanic lobster mac and cheese ($38) are two especially enjoyable standouts. Dessert errs slightly on the sweeter side, with options such as the pistachio kunafa ($24) and smoked cheesecake ($18) supplying the kind of potent sugar rush you allow yourself only on holiday. Amanda Holden shows off legs in summer mini skirt that's 40% off

Amanda Holden has been delivering some glamorous looks over the last few weeks as the Britain's Got Talent final approaches. And while her gowns and sequins offer bold statements to dazzle on screen, her day job at Heart FM sees the radio presenter sport a much more relaxed but equally chic wardrobe. This week, the 54-year-old was summer ready as she showed off her pins in a mini skirt and one-sleeved top. And now, fans can steal her style for less because I've found her exact outfit - and it's on sale with 40% off. Sharing her warm weather ensemble, Amanda told her 2.5 million Instagram followers: 'Hello happy Monday can you believe the weather finally? It's fantastic, so I decided to just wear one sleeve.' The blouse in question is the Cotton Stripe Belted Woven One Shoulder Top from Karen Millen, which is currently £59.40 down from £99. The cotton fabric and one-sleeve design ensures breathability, making it ideal for the warmer weather, be it for family gatherings or outdoor brunches. Coming in an eye-catching striped pattern, the belted waist cinches in the waist, creating a feminine silhouette that Karren Millen says is 'both flattering and comfortable'. Perfect for daytime events, this versatile piece can be styled for a range of casual outings. Pair it with high-waisted trousers and flat sandals for a sophisticated lunch date, or team it with your favourite denim and trainers for a stylish weekend look. Amanda styled it with the Stretch Denim Snaffle Trim Mini Skirt, also from Karen Millen. The skirt is made from a stretchy fabric which allows for 'all day comfort' with Amanda being a fan of the pockets and its length. She said: 'Hello happy Monday, can you believe the weather finally? It's fantastic, so I decided to just wear one sleeve. This [skirt] reminds me of the 80s when I used to have little jean skirts. It's that sort of midi length as well. I'm quite enjoying it. It's got two flappy pockets disguised in there to put useful things. And this gorgeous blouse with one sleeve, super lovely, this could be like a day to evening thing.' Originally £79, the skirt is down to £47.40 as part of the limited time deal, but some sizes have already sold out. Elsewhere, River Island has this Blue Denim Button Mini Skirt for £36 which has similar pocket detailing, but with a button front design with all sizes in stock. Karen Millen is a brand that's incredibly popular with the presenter, who has oftentimes been seen wearing outfits from the retailer. Back in February, the ITV star wore this blue Karen Millen frock with a pair of white pointed heels. While it's usually priced at £159, the exact Karen Millen dress Amanda sported currently has a whopping 40% off at Debenhams. This discount means customers can now bag the item for £83.40 - a saving of £75.60. But she doesn't always opt for the higher-end high street names, and is known to be a fan of more affordable brands too. Earlier this year, Amanda offered the perfect inspiration when she showed off her elegant, all-grey outfit from River Island. The presenter's Oversized Long Sleeve Shirt, £45, comes in regular or petite sizes, and matches these Grey Wide Pleat Front Trousers, also £45. But if its her Karen Millen skirt and blouse combo you want to recreate in your own wardrobe, fashion fans can shop the look here.

Wet Kiss Tease Upcoming Album With ‘Skirt'; Thus Spoke The Broken Chanteuse Out June 27 Via Dinosaur City

Naarm/Melbourne antic glam rock group Wet Kiss unveil 'Skirt', the second single from their sophomore album Thus Spoke the Broken Chanteuse, out Friday, June 27 via Dinosaur City. The single arrives ahead of their headline show at The Curtin on May 9 with Wrong Way Up and Boyfriend TV. 'Skirt' deals with a disastrous, yet funny and formative, gig mishap abroad. It's a 70s rock anthem by way of 90s PJ Harvey, serving as a retort to leering audience members but also poking fun at Wet Kiss frontwoman Brenna O 's on-stage humiliation ('Girls get paid in fascination / even while the night gets wasted'). She had just moved to Berlin and was playing her first solo set, but the show didn't pan out as planned. 'I got really drunk on white wine and it was a disaster. I luckily saved it by bantering. I had my foot up on the amp the whole time, and after the set my friend was like, 'Oh my God, everyone was trying to peer up your skirt.' The accompanying music video was shot and edited (last night!) in two takes in collaboration with Sam Eidelson. Brenna O explains the creative vision: 'We filmed the video in Chinatown, taping a pair of those diffraction rave glasses that turn light sources into love hearts to the camera lens. I styled myself to be my own image of Marylin Monroe in reference to the iconic manhole photograph. To create the effect that wind was blowing my skirt, up we had an assistant use a garden leaf blower. As a twist, I stitched fairy lights in my stockings so when Nathan cranked up the leaf blower, my vulnerable area was glowing!' Thus Spoke the Broken Chanteuse is exactly what the title suggests. Our chanteuse here is the sensational jezebel Brenna O: Part Factory Girl, part Fassbinder heroine, all peroxide locks and shiny, skin-tight '$2 dresses', sneering and growling across the stage, mixing greasy punk with cabaret excess. Or as she likes to put it: 'the punk Bette Midler is here.' What is she saying? Well, a few things. Produced by Andrew Huhtanen McEwan, Thus Spoke the Broken Chanteuse is about the grubby pleasures of hopping on the Melbourne-to-Berlin artist pipeline. It's about 'daddy at the abattoir,' slaughtering piggies. It's about gloomy waits at the gender clinic so you can get your estrogen. It's about dingy, crap clubs, desolate glamour, strutting down the street with your dignity in tatters, upskirting, indulgence and the glory of turning fantasy into reality. The album name is also something of a joke, melding a music journalist's snide comment about the band ('broken chanteuse') with a nod to Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The story of Wet Kiss is the story of myth-turned-real. Brenna knew what she wanted — glam-rock mutated for the adderall age — she just needed to find the players. So she put out ads in local rock magazines and found them: Daniel Dog (guitar), Aldo Thomas (piano), Ben Sendy-Smithers (Bass), Ju Shung (Lead Guitar), Ruby Rabbit (drums) and Agnes Whalen (backing vocals). The band quickly moved in together, quickly put out their beguiling debut record She's So Cool, and quickly built a live reputation. Their performances left crowds gobsmacked: there were floppy bunny ears and buckets of sweat; costume changes and clothes ripped to smithereens; ecstatic howls and hilarious antagonism. Plenty of Thus Spoke the Broken Chanteuse is brimming with this tension — between the hedonistic triumph of inventing oneself, and the dreary texture of modern life. Brenna became well acquainted with this conflict during a long stint in Berlin. Much of the record was written there, and as such, many of the songs are slathered in a thick glob of Weimar decadence. 'I want to carry on that spirit of dirty street decadence, but also the great tradition of self-invention,' says Brenna about Thus Spoke the Broken Chanteuse. Catapulting onto the live music scene with the release of their debut album She's So Cool via Dero Arcade (cumgirl8, Divide & Dissolve) Wet Kiss have built a dedicated following through word-of-mouth and their righteous live shows. In between support stages with Amyl & the Sniffers, RVG, Bar Italia, HTRK and CIVIC, the group were selected for SXSW Sydney 's official 2024 showcase, made their debut on The 'Sup for Golden Plains XVII last month, and have toured across Australia's east coast, Europe and the UK. Dunk yourself in Wet Kiss' filthy, lavish depths when they perform a headline set at The Curtin on Friday, May 9, 2025 with Wrong Way Up and Boyfriend TV, return to Gadigal Land/Sydney for Nag Nag Nag on Friday, May 23 and support Floodlights at The Forum on May 24. Stay connected with Wet Kiss on Instagram for another festival announcement next month.
