Maybelline Sky High Mascara Amazon Prime Day Sale

Before I get into my ~*thoughts*~ on Maybelline New York's Sky High Mascara, I need to let you know that it's currently on sale for less than $8 for Amazon Prime Day. That's right, you can snag one of the best drugstore mascaras of all time for less than the price of a specialty coffee. The formula is volumizing and creates long lashes without clumping or flaking. It also comes in a bunch of versatile shades (my personal favorite is brown), and yes, every color is on sale. Keep reading for the full review of Maybelline's Sky High Mascara, including the pros and cons, how it made our lashes look, and most importantly, if it's worth the price tag (spoiler alert, it most definitely is). The first thing I noticed about this drugstore mascara was the plastic brush. It's slim, flexible but not too bendy, slightly tapered, and is so easy to maneuver. It easily glides through lashes and is amazing at grabbing the tiny, hard-to-reach lashes on the inner and outer corners of the eyes and coating them with fibers and pigment. It's affordable Compared to many mascaras on the market—and again, I've tried basically all of them—Maybelline's Sky High is a really great value from one of my favorite drugstore makeup brands. If you use it every day, the tube should last you about three months so the cost-per-wear is basically pennies. I applied two quick coats of Sky High to my lashes and loved the result. Instantly my lashes looked longer, more voluminous, and well defined too. The formula laid beautifully on my lashes and did not come off 'twiggy' or brittle. I love a sleek and smooth lash look, and Sky High delivered just that. Just check out my before and after pics below for proof. The formula goes on really wet which made me nervous at first, but once it sets it doesn't budge. As I went through my day I noticed that there wasn't any smudging, which I was most impressed by. IMO there's nothing more disappointing than your mascara melting off your eyes in the middle of the day. You won't have to aggressively tug at your lashes—or even use a specific eye makeup remover—to remove Maybelline's Sky High Mascara at the end of the day. The formula is "washable," so all you need is a little bit of warm water to dissolve the black fibers in seconds—a total game changer on late nights. Okay, so if you apply this mascara in the morning and then want to add more layers to beef up your lashes before you go out, you may run into some issues. I did just this and the formula got suuuuuper flaky, and for the rest of night I felt like I had to constantly monitor the skin under my eyes for rogue flakes. Honestly, everything was going so well until I added those extra coats, so I wouldn't call the formula buildable or layer-able once it dries. K-pop star takes lashes on a ride in the latest Maybelline campaign

Maybelline New York has launched a new campaign across the APAC region featuring Chinese singer NingNing, a member of K-pop group aespa, as its new Asia brand ambassador. Dubai-based post-production house Singularity UAE was brought on board to lead the visual execution for the campaign film, building a stylised version of New York with a pink roller coaster running through the city. The metaphor – 'take lashes on a ride' – supports the promotion of Maybelline's Sky High Mascara and aims to capture both product energy and a sense of visual spectacle. The film was shot entirely in green screen and directed by Melody Maker. It was produced by Fresh Films London, with creative led by Gotham New York and support from Seoul-based service company Amazing People. With vibrant textures, dynamic movement and pop-forward art direction, the film blends music video sensibilities with cosmetic brand storytelling. Fast-paced VFX and camera trickery drive the high-energy aesthetic, while the pink roller coaster and stylised cityscape add a layer of visual metaphor. Built entirely from green screen footage enhanced by hyper-real CGI, the spot delivers a polished and playful take on a familiar urban backdrop. Post-production was handled entirely by Singularity UAE, who delivered the final creative in coordination with multiple stakeholders across time zones. 'A global campaign of this scale demands a custom-built workflow,' said Zubin Mistry, Founder and Executive Producer at Singularity. 'Our team worked across five time zones, coordinating creative reviews, online sessions and ensuring a flawless delivery process.' Marking Maybelline's first collaboration with NingNing, the campaign was rolled out in mid-2025 and is currently running across digital, out-of-home screens and activations in China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and other countries in the region. For Singularity, the project is part of a growing slate of international work highlighting the UAE's capabilities in high-end post-production and global campaign delivery. Katherine Ryan proves a high street mascara is 'the one' with incredible results

"I'm not selling anything, this high street mascara is the one" Though Katherine Ryan is officially a comedian, we think she might be bidding for a career as a beauty influencer. The Would I Lie To You? and TV regular certainly knows a thing or two about aesthetics and beauty, something she's proving with her latest high street mascara recommendation. Taking to TikTok to share a very impressive before-and-after shot of her lashes, the soon-to-be mum of four, who announced her latest pregnancy just last week, captions the clip: "Am I the only one who puts mascara on by blinking slowly?" The subject of the TikTok is Benefit's They're Real Mascara, which Katherine says is "the ONE". She explains: "I've seen a lot of mascara reviews on here, and I know I'm going to get in trouble in a minute because it is 7.56 pm and I'm on stage in 4 minutes, but I'm ready as soon as I get on. "I don't have an affiliate link and I'm not selling anything, but I use some designer make-up products but never mascara. For some reason, I think high street ones are better. This is Benefit They're Real." She goes on to explain how she finds high street mascaras "don't flake" and how she prefers mini-sized ones so she can take them travelling with her. If you're looking at Katherine's incredible results, you can pick up the mini mascara for £15 from Selfridges, or you can make the most of LookFantastic's offer this week which gives you a full size They're Real Mascara as well as the travel-sized one for £27 (but worth £42). Katherine's TikTok followers say they're prepped to add it to their own virtual shopping baskets after seeing her lashes with a coat of the mascara on. One asks: "Katherine how the hell are your lashes that long??" Another shares her love for the Benefit buy, saying: "Nothing beats Benefit mascara!", with another chiming in with: "I've loved Benefit mascara for the longest time." "This is the best mascara ever. I've used it for years. Can't beat it," writes another. "I shall NEVER return to my old drug store mascara... Benefit has my heart," concludes a final user. The formula itself promises to lengthen and extend the appearance of your lashes to create a false effect. Lasting up to 36 hours of wear, the formula is smudge, transfer and flake-proof – as Katherine says. However, a few of the comedian's other followers are saying they don't think a £15 mascara – for a mini, at that – counts as a high street one. So if you are looking for a mascara recommendation under £10, they have plenty of other suggestions. One TikToker advises others to check out Maybelline's Sky High Mascara, which can be bought for £8 on Amazon. A few others say they swear by L'Oreal's iconic Telescopic Mascara, available for £9.59 at the moment.

5 drugstore beauty staples Gen Z is obsessed with (and you can grab nationwide)

5 drugstore beauty staples Gen Z is obsessed with (and you can grab nationwide) Don't worry—we've done the TikToking for you, so you can head straight to your local drugstore. Listen, not all heroes wear capes. Some come in plastic tubes and sit quietly on the shelves of your local CVS, Rite-Aid or Walgreens. Gen Z has officially made it clear that you don't need to drop $60 at Sephora to glow like you were born under a ring light. TikTok has become the new beauty bible, and its disciples are heading straight to the drugstore aisles to scoop up surprisingly effective, budget-friendly finds that seriously deliver. From balms that double as highlighter to mascaras that actually do what they promise, these products aren't just affordable—they're iconic. This generation of beauty experts aren't here for fluff, and their no-nonsense approach to beauty means they're reviving classics and reimagining their use in innovative and unexpected ways. Press-on nails are having a full-blown comeback. Vaseline is suddenly... sexy (and the key ingredient in slugging). The drugstore beauty aisle is the new frontier, and it's stacked with heavy hitters. So, whether you're a beauty minimalist, a budgeting college student or just love a good dupe, here are five tried-and-true beauty MVPs that Gen Z is currently gatekeeping (but we're spilling the tea anyway). 1. Aquaphor Healing Ointment Your grandma knew. Your baby cousin probably has some on right now. And Gen Z? They've taken this humble healing balm and given it a full-blown glow-up. Slathered on as the final step in a skincare routine or as an overnight mask (a practice known as 'slugging'), Aquaphor locks in moisture like a dewy force field. But it doesn't stop there—it's also being dabbed on cheekbones as highlighter, used as brow gel, and even tapped onto eyelids for that editorial-glossy finish. The fact that it costs less than a smoothie? Chef's kiss. 2. Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara If TikTok had a Mount Rushmore of makeup, this mascara would be front and center. Loved for its game-changing length and gravity-defying lift, this drugstore legend delivers fluttery, falsie-like lashes in just a few swipes. The wand is flexible, the formula is buildable and somehow it doesn't smudge or flake—even after a full day of classes, commutes, or crying over your ex's new situationship. It's viral for a reason, and unlike the wishlist of overpriced beauty products we all have in our online carts, it's actually in stock and doesn't even require a shipping fee. 3. Kiss Impress Press-On Manicure Why spend $70 and two hours at the nail salon when you can get salon-level sets at home in five minutes flat? It is with great pleasure that we are here to announce the resurrection of the humble press-on—and they come in every shade, length and glittery combination your heart could possibly desire. Kiss Impress nails come pre-glued, perfectly shaped in every aesthetic from coquette-core to glazed donut chrome. They last through multiple iced matchas, group chat texting sprees, and yes, even a few chaotic nights out. Hot tip for your tips: always keep a small bottle of nail glue in your bag for emergency glam situations. 4. e.l.f. Power Grip Primer Say goodbye to makeup meltdowns. This sticky, jelly-textured primer from e.l.f. has gripped the hearts (and faces) of beauty lovers everywhere. It creates a tacky base that holds foundation and concealer in place for hours, while giving your skin that fresh, hydrated look that new-age beauty gurus have trademarked. It's a near-perfect dupe for the cult-favorite Milk Hydro Grip—and it costs about 70% less. Hydrating? Yes. Longwearing? Yes. Budget-friendly? You bet your dewy little cheeks it is. 5. NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip Gloss is back (I mean, was it really ever out?), and it's glossier than ever. NYX's Fat Oil Lip Drip is the love child of a nourishing lip oil and a juicy gloss, giving you high shine without the stickiness of your early 2000s trauma. Packed with moisturizing oils and coming in a handful of shade options, it delivers that plush, pillowy lip look without breaking the bank. Layer it over liner, swipe it on bare lips and make sure to grab a few to toss one in every bag.
