Amazon's 'very sturdy' £17 cabin bag is 'perfect for Ryanair'
The Amazon cabin bag has been reduced ahead of the retailer's Prime Day 2025 sale
Amazon shoppers are heaping praise on an "excellent" cabin bag they say is "perfect for Ryanair." The retailer has reduced the popular bag ahead of its annual Prime Day sale, which runs from July 8 to 11.
The retailer is selling the Yankony travel backpack in a range of colours, with the price depending on the shade. Prices currently start from £17.90, down from £29.99.
According to the Amazon product description says the bag is "designed fits easily under the seat or in the overhead compartment." It features an adjustable water bottle pocket, a charging hole, an anti-theft pocket on the bag, a front pocket, two inside pockets, as well as laptop compartment and main compartment.
The bag is said to be "durable, waterproof and scratch-resistant." The back and shoulder straps are made of thickened sponge, which "improves breathability and reduces the heavy burden on your back."
The carry-on backpack has a capacity of 20L and can be unfolded 180° like a suitcase. It is made with nylon fabric.
Alternatively, Dunelm is stocking the Elements Hard Shell Suitcase for £21, while B&Q has the LUGG 15 Inch Jetset Lightweight Travel Cabin Bag for £25.99. Gymshark has the Sleek Backpack on sale for £38.50, down from £55.
The Amazon bag is racking up rave reviews, with a 4.6 star rating. One person said: "Excellent bag perfect for Ryanair small hand luggage. Return flights to Spain no issue. Zips are of good quality and there is a bottle pocket also. Even if you overstuff it the bag should still fit the Ryanair dimensions but it is safer to leave a bit of space. Comfortable to wear and very light. Will use on my next short trip."
A second wrote: " Perfect for Ryanair under seat bag. Bought this as I needed a rucksack that meets Ryanair under seat requirements, a perfect fit. I now have at least one hand free to hold the rail when climbing up and down the steep steps.
"Love the colour. A very versatile bag with lots of different pockets, including one that is waterproof. The shoulder straps are padded and comfortable. There's a side pocket for a water bottle good quality for the price. Available in a good range of colours too."
However, a number of shoppers found issues with the product. One said: "Was disappointed at the product when delivered. Not as expected."
A second wrote: "The bag arrived a bit wrinkly, which did not make it look at it's best. Overall it's a decent bag with many pockets. I personally think it's just a little too small and could be a bit bigger for a cabin bag."
Despite this, many continued to praise the bag. One person said: "Good little bag for travel, its a good shape, with lots of pockets, very sturdy. As long as Ryanair accept it for under seat storage, then I will be very happy with it. The purple colour is more lilac."
A second wrote: "Fantastic holds so much must have for travelling." A third added: "Absolutely love this bag. The pockets are all useful and functional. Really value for money. Material seems durable.
"Love that the zips are protected from opening by the straps. The anti theft pocket is a great idea. Comfy to wear. Plan to get another two for my husband and father in law."
