Love Island chaos as four islanders dumped in cruel twist

One Islander has been brutally dumped from the famous villa after the unexpected 'Sleepover' which has rocked not one, but several connections on Love Island. Fans of the ITV2 show have been left shocked by the fallout of the past couple of days as four contestants have now been sent packing after a drama-filled switch-up. In tonight's episode, the Islanders got to know the Bombshells even better through a game of Truth or Dare at The Sleepover. Dejon dared Remell to kiss an Islander of his choice and he decided to kisse Poppy. Remell then dared Helena to do her favourite sex position with Giorgio. Poppy kissed Dejon after being dared to kiss the person she's most attracted to other than the person she chose. Giorgio then dared Dejon to kiss the Islander he's most attracted to and he snogged Caprice and they both rate it 10/10. Dejon asked Remell who he would choose between Alima and Poppy if there was a recoupling and he hesitated but said Poppy. However, later on, Dejon and Remell caught up around the Firepit as Remell said: 'I'm loving the chats with Poppy, flirty, chill…I don't want to leave with regrets which is why I'm giving Poppy the time of day.' Dejon told his pal: 'You've got to look long term… whoever you see a long term future with, that's the one you pursue.' Remell then asked how he's feeling about Caprice. Dejon said: 'What me and Caprice have could be something good, but what me and Meg have is something special.' Later that evening, Remell and Poppy chatted on the sunbeds as he told her: 'I've been comfy around you, it's the first time in the Villa that I've felt like this so it's telling me something.' At The Sleepover Villa, Maya then made a shock entrance taking the Islanders by surprise. She asked the group: 'Having some time away has allowed you to explore new connections, but are these connections stronger than what you have with your current partner?' Maya reminded those at The Sleepover that 'actions have consequences" before all of the drama broke out. After Maya asked the islanders to make their decisions on who they want to couple up with after spending a couple of days with the new bombshells, it was met with shock and panic from the four original islanders. The islanders in the villa then got a text to gather at firepit and await the news sleepover villa. They were informed that Helena had decided to pick bombshell Giorgio and Dejon decided to stay with Meg. Meanwhile, Remell took a lot longer to decide but in the end, he chose to stick with Alima. And after flirting her way through the Sleepover villa, Emily decided to stick with Conor - not knowing that he has kissed Megan on the terrace, not once, but twice. The main villa then got a text confirming that because Helena chose to couple up with the new bombshell, Shea was now single and was dumped from the island along with the three Sleepover bombshells.

The main villa was rocked when a cheeky video arrived by text, teasing some of the cosy chats that had gone on. Viewers have speculated the OG Islanders will be invited to bring a bombshell back to the villa. But this series has been full of whiplash twists - and even the OGs from week one after not safe from this shock cull. This will leave fans even more gobsmacked when they learn who the victims of the mass cull are. A source said: 'Four islanders have gone in one sweep but it won't necessarily be who fans think. 'The sleepover Islanders' return really shakes up the villa dynamic.' The 'The Sleepover' has already begun stirring up trouble, with fans already goading for Remell to be axed. Despite being in a seemingly happy couple with Alima back in the main villa, the social media influencer has wasted no time in exploring his options. He immediately made a beeline for Poppy Harrison, 22, who seemed more than happy to accept his advances. Maya Jama returns to the Love Island villa after Dejon and Remell snog new bombshells in saucy sleepover game As they chatted, he told newly-single Poppy that he has not been "occupied" in the villa - despite coupling up with Alima. Remell also held her hand just to test how nervous she was after Poppy joked that she would keep him "occupied". They then shared a bed together and spooned all night, with Poppy saying in the morning: "Yeah the cuddles were nice, and yeah I enjoyed it." The Sun previously revealed how dental hygienist Poppy only dumped her ex last week after learning she had been picked as a bombshell. Fans have been left furious with Remell's behaviour at The Sleepover, with one writing on X: "Remell you are losing me, I knew he can't be trusted, I just knew it." Another added: "Remell's going home whenever the public vote opens whether he chooses Alima or Poppy. And a third raged: "'I've not been occupied in the villa' ?????? Bye I want Remmell so far gone." Last summer, the same Sleepover twist saw Joey Essex and Grace Jackson hook up in steamy scenes - and producers are hoping for more of the same from 2025's Islanders. The other three bombshells dropped into Casa are Giorgio Russo, who is football champion Alessia Russo's brother, Hydrox competitor Will Means and nursery owner Caprice Alexandra. A night at the Geneva opera — that is a literal snoozefest

by AGNÈS PEDRERO IN MOST places, a night at the opera conjures up images of polite audiences in eveningwear sitting upright to enjoy a bit of Bel Canto. In Geneva, though, once a year the crowd includes children, the eveningwear is pyjamas and socks — and the seats are scoped out for how comfortable they are to sleep in. Welcome to Sleepover in the city's 19th-century opera house, when it opens its doors to a small number of enthusiasts. From 8pm they wander its fresco-covered foyers, listen to performed music…and spend the night dozing in an auditorium lit up like a starry night. 'It's pretty crazy,' said law professor Carine Lutz, as a friend next to her rolled out a sleeping bag at the foot of the stage. They were among 180 people who rushed in with suitcases and shopping bags stuffed with quilts to stake out a nocturnal niche in the Grand Theatre. Among them were many families with children, who marvelled at the giant mirrors with gilded frames, the angels and nymphs painted above, and, of course, some music. 'I think purists might find it difficult to imagine that one could sleep here, on the same stage where major operas are usually performed,' Lutz told AFP. Grand Theatre dramaturge Clara Pons explained that the unusual offering was designed 'to open up spaces to things you don't usually do there, like for instance running around in your pyjamas,' rather than in ultra-formal attire. 'We feel closer to people than when we're all sitting in the 1,500-seat auditorium,' she said. Rush to the Balconies The connoisseurs know to flock to the balconies and the auditorium's red velvet armchairs, considered the most comfortable places to spend the night. Adrien Mangili was relishing the experience for the third time with family and friends. 'You have to come early to get a dressing room, to be able to sleep and have a little privacy,' he said, as his seven-year-old daughter Phedre enthusiastically pulled on pyjamas. If you get a good spot, 'it is easier for the kids to fall asleep,' he said. Before turning in, the children and adults spend hours exploring the darkened opera house, guided by ushers holding fluorescent rods. Their strolls were punctuated by musical interludes performed by a Baroque music ensemble called 'The Argonauts'. 'It's soothing, but it doesn't put you to sleep,' said Heloise Garcia, a 20-year-old student stretched out on the main stage. Those unable to secure a box rolled out their sleeping backs in corridors, foyers and on the floor of the auditorium, under a ceiling spotted with a thousand pinholes of light in the shape of the Milky Way. Carolina Marques Lopes, a lawyer, showed off a yellow dog soft toy she brought along. 'This is in case the Phantom comes to visit,' she joked. Stefanie Neves, captivated by the main foyer with its frescoes and paintings, said: 'We brought inflatable queen-size beds.' She and her friends wanted 'to be able to fully enjoy the music and still get a few hours of sleep,' she explained. Before lying down, Neves looked up at an overhead imposing chandelier and pushed her mattress farther away, just in case. Chopin to Pink Floyd Later that night, she and others dozed as an Italian pianist and performer, Marino Formenti, played piece after piece, at whim. 'I decided not to impose a programme, but to bring a number of very different compositions that I like to play, from Baroque to Chopin, to rock music, Pink Floyd, the Beatles,' he told AFP. Near the piano, a young couple danced, entwined, one barefoot and the other in socks, as a woman and child wearing matching panda pyjamas wandered past. Nicolas Wisard, stretched out on his mat, savoured the view. 'It's almost as good as Versailles, the Palace of Mirrors,' he said. As dawn ticked closer, snoring filled the Great Hall's acoustics, while a silent black and white movie played on a giant screen. 'It was really cool,' said Megan Bonfils as she groggily woke to music. 'Being with the artists and in this incredible place…in socks.' — AFP This article first appeared in The Malaysian Reserve weekly print edition
