Legendary UK Rock Band Deep Purple To Perform In Malaysia As Its Only Southeast Asia Stop
The hard rock and heavy metal genres have grown tremendously since the 60s, with bands such as Deep Purple pioneering the genre to what it has become today. The band is set to bring that 70s rock energy to Malaysian fans, making its only stop in Southeast Asia! Brought to you by Hitman Studios, Deep Purple is set to light the Mega Star Arena stage this 23rd November 2025 (Sunday) with famous tracks such as 'Smoke On The Water' and 'Highway Star'. Here is what we know so far: Dubbed one of the founding fathers of rock, Deep Purple decorated history started in 1968 with their debut album, 'Shades of Deep Purple'. Some of the most notable awards from the '60s band include winning the 'Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement' in 2019, the 'Legend Award' at the 2008 World Music Awards, as well as being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Additionally, the band has also won three Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards in 2011 for their 'Now What?!' and 'Machine Head' albums. With 100 million records sold worldwide and a change in bandmates, Deep Purple continues to rock the world in the 2000s with their newest release, 'Lazy Sod' in 2024. Seth Hurwitz's I.M.P. Brings European-Style Frites to The Wharf WASHINGTON, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Anthem today launched Frites and Greet, a European-style french fry stand conceived by I.M.P. chairman Seth Hurwitz and featuring hand-cut, double-fried potatoes with seven musical-themed dipping sauces at The Wharf in Washington, D.C. The stand, operated by longtime kitchen partner Eco Caters, is located across the walkway from The Anthem by District Pier. The stand serves hand-cut, European-style frites that are double-fried for maximum flavor and crispiness. Each order includes one housemade dipping sauce with musical takes on classics, including Mean Mr. Mustard, Smoke On The Water, or Ranch Against The Machine. Customers can choose from seven different sauces, with additional flavors available for 75 cents each. The menu also features three housemade sparkling lemonades in strawberry, mango, or blackberry flavors. 'My son Sam, who used to be at The Anthem but now runs The Atlantis, says to me one day 'We should sell fries. Everybody loves fries,' said Seth Hurwitz, chairman of I.M.P. and owner of The Anthem, the 9:30 Club, and The Atlantis and operator of Merriweather Post Pavilion and the Lincoln Theatre. 'Of course, we have to make the best fries, so we did a little research trip to the European frites capitals. Ten pounds later we returned, knowing what we had to do to make fries like THEY DO…fresh cut, double fried, and fantastic sauces.' Hurwitz worked with longtime chef Steve Mannino to design the menu. 'When I tasted the final product, it went from just selling fries, to selling the best fries,' Hurwitz said. 'I am as excited to see people enjoy them as I am to see people enjoy shows.' Frites and Greet will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 6-9pm, and on Anthem show nights beginning at 5pm. On some nights, fans will even be able to greet some Frites after the show! The stand will also be open during The Wharf's 'Sunset Cinema Movie Nights,' currently scheduled for July 17th, July 24th, August 7, August 14, August 21, and August 28. Here's everything that we know about this leak. 3 New Businesses are Coming One of the most talked-about aspects of the leak is the reveal of three brand-new businesses expected to launch with this DLC: Higgins Helitours – $900,000 Hands on Car Wash – $1,000,000 Smoke On The Water – $850,000 Yes, these are big-ticket properties, but they also seem to come with their own unique missions and money-making mechanics. LEAKED GTA ONLINE MONEY FRONTS DLC CARS, All New 2025 Vehicles Leak, Property, GTA 6 (GTA5 Update) Car Wash Business The Hands on Car Wash business looks like it's going to be the highlight.
