Possible sighting of U.S. man wanted in the deaths of his 3 daughters prompts search in Idaho
Deputies participate in the search for Travis Decker, at an undisclosed location in Washington state, Friday, June 6, 2025. (Snohomish County Sheriff's Office photo via AP) BOISE, Idaho — U.S. federal authorities in Idaho are following up on a possible sighting over the weekend of a Washington state man wanted in connection with the deaths of his three daughters. The U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force said it had received a tip Saturday from a family recreating near a camping area in Idaho's Sawtooth National Forest that they saw a man whose description was consistent with that of Travis Decker. Decker has been wanted since June 2, when a sheriff's deputy in Washington found his truck and the bodies of his three daughters — 9-year-old Paityn Decker, 8-year-old Evelyn Decker and 5-year-old Olivia Decker — at a campground outside Leavenworth, Washington. The discovery came three days after he failed to return the girls to their mother's home in Wenatchee, about 100 miles (160 kilometers) east of Seattle, following a scheduled visit. Authorities in Washington on June 10 said they believed they'd spotted Decker, a former soldier, near a remote alpine lake in a popular backpacking area in the Cascade Range. Tracking teams followed up on a tip from hikers who reported seeing a lone hiker who appeared to be ill-prepared for the conditions. But he has not been found. Eric Toms, supervisory deputy U.S. Marshal with the District of Boise, said the agency was receiving more tips from the public following the statement the task force released Sunday. Toms in an email said the agency was evaluating each tip and that a search team involving the marshals service, the U.S. Forest Service and the Camas County Sheriff's Office set out Monday. He said authorities planned to speak with local residents and people camping or recreating in the area. He said Decker has a history of hitchhiking and encouraged motorists to not pick up any hitchhikers. Toms did not immediately respond to follow-up questions sent by email. The forest area is nearly 600 miles (965 kilometres) from the lake where authorities were searching last month. The Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to US$20,000 for information leading to Decker's capture. The Associated Press

Man with Autism, Who Left Home Months Ago Without Phone or Jacket, Possibly Seen on Doorbell Camera, Family Says
Jonathan Hoang may have been spotted months after he vanished from his Washington home The 21-year-old man's family said they believe he was recently seen on a doorbell camera about 40 miles away from where he disappeared in late March Police ended search efforts for Hoang in AprilA man with autism may have been spotted on a doorbell camera months after he vanished from his Washington home, according to his family. Jonathan Hoang was last seen in Arlington at around 7:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 30, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) previously said in a news release. Late last month, Hoang's family said in a post shared on the "Help Us Find Jonathan Hoang" Facebook page that they believe the 21-year-old was recently spotted in front door security camera footage. Alongside screenshots of the video footage captured of who is believed to be Hoang, the family wrote, "This potential sighting was on NE 114th Lane [in] Kirkland," referring to an area over 40 miles away from Arlington. "Please feel free to share this information in all community groups and pages in the Kirkland and surrounding areas," the man's loved ones continued. The SCSO said in its prior news release that a relative of Hoang's said they possibly heard him leave the home around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, March 31, but it may have occurred earlier. He was reported missing later that same day. 'Jonathan has autism and he left the house without his cell phone and without a jacket,' authorities said. 'He left with his Wi-Fi-only iPad; it does not have cellular data.' A search for Hoang eventually began, and it later culminated with about 150 volunteers, ground teams, K-9 units, drones and the agency's helicopter involved. Police said "more than 4,000 man-hours were dedicated to the search, which spanned six days." The search was eventually suspended, and police said they would "continue to do periodic checks in the area and will follow up on all leads.' They added that Hoang's cell phone contained "nothing of evidentiary value." The sheriff's office said in its prior statement that Hoang is high functioning and takes public transit with his job coach and "has been working with his adult transitions program to gain skills for a job in Everett.' Speaking with NBC affiliate KING, Hoang's family said he may have trouble finding his way back home, as he has difficulty with problem-solving and shuts down during stressful situations. The man's loved ones have since set up their own search efforts, and a GoFundMe has been established for the family to aid them as they continue to try and find Hoang. Hoang's family did not respond to PEOPLE's request for an update. The SCSO asked anyone who has seen Hoang or has information tied to his whereabouts to immediately call 911. Where's Tracey Brazzel? 30 years on, her mom remains hopeful they'll find her body
LYNNWOOD, Wash. - A Washington family is continuing to look for answers as they mourn the loss of their daughter, who disappeared on this day 30 years ago. Peggy Brady told FOX 13, her daughter Tracey Brazzel was bubbly, loved to read, and had a contagious, loving laugh. Brady misses her daughter every day, but on days like today and her birthday, it hits her especially hard. "It's hard," she said. "I live on memories." The backstory Investigators believe the 22-year-old disappeared somewhere between where she lived in Lynnwood and a bar that once stood in Everett, just about 10 miles away. She's believed to be dead, but her body has never been found. "There's always an empty hole in your heart," Brady said. Every day she wonders where her daughter might be, and what life would be like if she were still here. "If she'd be married, if I'd have grandkids, you know…what they would be like," Brady said. For years, the investigation into her disappearance went cold. However, in 2012, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office arrested Danny Ross Giles in connection with the 1995 murders of Tracey and Patti Berry. Giles DNA was reportedly found in both women's cars. They convicted Giles in Berry's case, but severed Tracy's because they couldn't find her body and didn't want to jeopardize the other case, according to Brady. She believes he's behind Tracey's disappearance. "Even though he's in prison, he just won't give up you know, where she is, or say anything about her," she said. In 2010, Brady's oldest daughter also passed away. Despite so much loss, she remains hopeful, 30 years later. "I'm hopeful that he'll finally give it up," Brady said. "I'm just hoping he'll do it before I'm gone. I'd like to put my daughter to rest, I'd like to put her with her sister." What you can do She told FOX 13, she's still in contact with detectives, who go to the prison every once in a while, but nothing new turns up. She said the only thing she can do is hope and pray and if anyone knows where Tracey might be, she asks them to please come forward and give them peace of mind and closure.
