Local Administration in Sana'a discusses bids for service projects
Sana'a - Saba: The administrative body of the Local Council in Sana'a province, chaired by Ali Al-Suhayli, head of the Social Affairs Committee of the local council, discussed on Saturday the bids related to the implementation of several service projects. The meeting, attended by council members Abdul Salam Al-Jaifi and Mahyoub Mahdi, along with the province's technical deputy, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, reviewed the bids and requests submitted by several offices and relevant entities regarding service projects. The council examined the proposal to purchase an X-ray machine for the Emergency Hospital in Bani Mansour - Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah and tasked the concerned authority with preparing the necessary documents and specifications to present them to the tenders committee. Additionally, the meeting referred a request for approving additional work on the project to rehabilitate and construct a protective roof for Ghayl Hijrat Al-Dhabayinah in Sanhan and Bani Bahlul districts to the technical deputy for review and feedback. The council also agreed to extend the implementation period for seven ongoing projects carried out by the Executive Unit for an additional 45 days. Furthermore, the council discussed a report on the partial collapse of the wall of Al-Salam Tanum School in Al-Tiyal district and studied the construction of a cylindrical culvert for Al-Sawad Dhiq Al-Sahman road in the same district. Head of Social Affairs committee inspects work discipline in Capital Secretariat Service Sectors
Sana'a - Saba: Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat, inspected on Monday the level of work discipline in several service sectors following the Eid al-Adha holiday. Al-Naqeeb reviewed the discipline at the General Administration of Parks and Gardens in the Capital Secretariat, where he was briefed by Director of Parks Samir Hamza on workflow and the efforts made to prepare and maintain public gardens to receive visitors during the holiday. Hamza explained that 66 parks and recreational areas across the Capital Secretariat districts welcomed over five million visitors during Eid al-Adha. He noted that 500 employees, including administrative, technical, cleaning, gardening, and security staff, provided services to visitors according to the operational plan. Al-Naqeeb praised the discipline of the leadership and staff of the General Administration of Parks and Gardens, as well as all municipal districts, commending their efforts in ensuring proper preparations, creating a suitable environment, and delivering quality services to visitors during the holiday. Additionally, the Head of the Social Affairs Committee inspected work attendance levels after the holiday at the Social Welfare Fund, the Land Transport Sector, and the Neighborhood Affairs Department in the Capital Municipality. He listened to explanations from the directors of the Fund, Jamila Al-Matari, and the Transport Sector, Mohammed Al-Shahari, regarding workflow, job discipline on the second official workday, and operational mechanisms for task execution across various departments. Furthermore, Al-Naqeeb, along with Dr. Muthahar Al-Marouni, Director of the Health and Environment Office in the Capital Secretariat, reviewed the level of medical and healthcare services at the Republican Teaching Hospital. They inspected workflow in several medical departments and were briefed by the hospital's head, Dr. Mohammed Jahaf, on performance levels, medical services, patient care, as well as modern equipment and infrastructure development projects aimed at improving service quality. During the visit, Al-Naqeeb, Dr. Al-Marouni, and Dr. Jahaf checked on the health of Saleh Al-Maysari, Director of Al-Safiya District, who is receiving treatment at the Republican Hospital. Charity clothes exhibition opens for poor in Maeen district
Sana'a – Saba: Hamoud al-Naqeeb, Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee in Sana'a District, on Sunday inaugurated the 17th free charity exhibition for distributing clothing to the poor and needy in Maeen district. The exhibition, organized by the Diamond Foundation for Development in collaboration with other foundations and philanthropists, aims to provide clothing for 300 poor and needy families of all ages for Eid al-Adha. At the opening, al-Naqeeb highlighted the importance of such charitable initiatives in promoting benevolence, compassion, and social solidarity, particularly given the challenging circumstances in the country due to the "aggression." In the presence of officials and the Foundation's Chairman, he noted the positive impact of the charity event in easing the burdens of poor families and bringing happiness to those in need.
