You can pick up a leaflet in-store, browse online, or sign up to Aldi's mailing list to get a sneak preview of what is to come. As well as dupes of branded food items, the retailer also has beauty products and fragrances that sell out as soon as they hit the shelves. This was a huge sale on outdoor furniture - offering up to £500 off just in time for spring. In February, Dunelm had a huge clearance sale with discounts of up to 75% on hundreds of items. And most homeware stores hold sales in the summer. Last summer, Dobbies launched a huge summer sale with prices slashed by up to 50%. The items on sale included garden furniture, plants and homeware. How to save money when shopping at Aldi Unlike other major grocers, Aldi does not have a rewards or point card system but that does not mean you cannot save on your shop. Every week the store releases a list of special buys, which are unique bargain products you find online at Aldi and in store. The store releases a fresh range of deals every Thursday and Sunday, so be sure to check regularly to see what's new. Meanwhile, the store also regularly sells fruit and vegetables at highly discounted prices, as part of its 'super six' deal. It also does weekly saving offers on typically pricey items such as meat and fish. Plus, it's worth keeping an eye out for products with red stickers on them. These are added to items that have been reduced due to them being close to their best before date or slightly damaged. The best time to get these reduced products is towards the end the day, when you can get discounts worth up to 75%. When's the best time to shop at Aldi? WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy. For reduced items - when shops open Red sticker items are rare at Aldi's 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found - if you're quick. A spokesman for the supermarket said: "All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates." That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens. Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store's times by using the supermarket's online shop finder tool. For Specialbuys - Thursdays and Sundays Specialbuys are Aldi's weekly collection of items that it doesn't normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools. New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals. For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store's opening time. Remember: once they're gone, they're gone, so if there's something you really want, visit as early as possible

"Simply place them in the sun to charge during the day and enjoy their gentle light as the evening falls. "Perfect for adding a touch of warmth and style to any outdoor setting!" The rattan lights are a fraction of the price of a similar product sold at Argos for £25. Gardeners rush to B&Q to snap up £15 bargain that will transform your home into a Mediterranean paradise, and they're cheaper than Home Bargains The Habitat 6 Warm White Rattan Effect Solar String Lights, which are £17 more expensive than the Home Bargains buy comes with four less lights than the budget version. The Argos buy is also solar powered, and can run for eight hours when fully charged. Shoppers have also been raving about Home Bargains' Firefly 3 Pack Hot Air Balloon Solar Light, also priced at £7.99. One eagle-eyed shopper spotted the bargain buys and posted about them in the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group — sparking a frenzy among fellow bargain hunters. 5 ways to save money in your garden Garden design experts at Lighting Legends have revealed the ways you can lower gardening costs. 1. Install a water butt Water butts are a large container that sits in your garden and collects rainwater. This water can then be used to water plants, top up ponds or water features and wash the patio and other garden furniture. The natural outdoor water could help you save money on your water bills as you are less likely to use a hose during the summer months. 2. Use solar powered or LED lighting Solar powered lights get their energy from the sunlight in the day so they can illuminate your garden at night. They're easy to install and are a great choice for keeping electricity bills low. LED lights are another option that are long lasting and energy efficient. 3. Grow your own salad and vegetables Growing your own salad and vegetables will not only save you money but it can also feel really rewarding. Things like lettuce, radishes, and spinach are all fairly easy to grow. 4. Upcycle waste and rubbish Get creative and start upcycling items instead of throwing them away. Use sticks from ice lollies as plant tags or turn old watering cans and wheelbarrows into planters instead of buying new pots. Once you get creative the ways to upcycle are endless. 5. Start composting Start composting your kitchen scraps like vegetable peelings and coffee grounds and combine them with garden waste such as leaves and grass clippings to create a nutrient rich compost. This could reduce your need to spend money on expensive fertilisers. One shopper raved: 'I got the hot air balloons online last week — they look so good with how they flicker.' Another said: 'I've got all the different balloon ones and my garden looks like a balloon festival now. Looks amazing at night and well worth the money.' A third happy customer added: 'Finally found these in my local — so happy xx.' But not everyone was impressed. One shopper warned: 'I got the starburst ones and they only worked for two days then they stopped lifting up.' Another said: 'Be careful with the hot air balloon ones — I bought some, opened it, and it came apart in my hands.' It's always worth shopping around when buying garden gear as you might find a cheaper alternative elsewhere. Websites like and PriceSpy let you compare thousands of products across different retailers to find the best price. A quick search on Google Shopping can also show how much other retailers are charging for similar items.
