Song Ha Yoon's school bullying case: Alleged victim accuses actress of using 'malicious media tactics' to frame her

Song Ha Yoon's alleged victim of a school bullying case, referred to as Oh, is back with a third statement. On July 7, KST, Oh took to an online discussion portal and explained the entire incident from her point of view, as reported by Allkpop. She also blamed the actress for trying to use illicit means to force their side of the narrative around and make Oh look bad. Through this, Oh showed that she had no intentions of settlement outside court. Song Ha Yoon's accuser blames actress for using media to change the case narrative Oh's third public statement was titled "I am the victim of Song Ha Yoon' s school vi*lence." She claimed that "Song's side is using malicious media tactics to frame me as a criminal and shift the focus" and explained that "what the public truly wants to know is why Song Ha Yoon was transferred, and whether it was due to school vi*lence." The issue was primarily based on whether the Marry My Husband actress bullied Oh at school. However, as per Oh, the accused was trying to highlight whether or not the alleged victim was a wanted cr*minal in South Korea. Song Ha Yoon's accuser reveals possessing alleged evidence against her Oh said, "There is consistent testimony from numerous classmates and witnesses that Song was forcibly transferred from Banpo High School to Gujeong High School not voluntarily, but as a result of disciplinary action (Measure No. 8 – Forced Transfer) after being identified as a perpetrator in a group assault." The actress, however, denied the claims, calling them false. Song Ha Yoon's alleged victim to press charges of defamation against actress for spread of falsehood Oh once again stressed that her unavailability to attend police summons in South Korea was solely because of residing in the US, and the inconveniences it would cause her to travel to another nation for questioning. Claiming Song Ha Yoon's claims of Oh being on a wanted list as unfounded, she stated, "Equating a summons with being a fugitive is a malicious distortion of the facts intended to frame me as a criminal. Such claims constitute defamation, and I will pursue legal action."

They happened due to a disciplinary action that occurred because of a school bullying incident years ago. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning... She added that travelling to South Korea for the investigation would be expensive for her. Her statement read that 'I am currently staying abroad long-term, appearing in Korea would require me to bear all costs, including airfare, accommodation, and local expenses. It is excessive and unreasonable to expect a victim to travel to Korea at their own expense for questioning'. Song Ha Yoon's statement In her statement released on July 2, the actress shared a detailed statement about the allegations with the help of her legal representatives in the case. She had firmly denied all allegations that had been put forth online by 'Ms. Oh'. The statement also read that the actress has been taking time to collect evidence of her innocence, which has resulted in the delayed response from her side. Her legal representation also added that the person who spread the rumours is in the U.S, and has been unresponsive and uncooperative about the investigation.

Song Ha Yoon's accuser asks actress to stop 'manipulating public,' reveals reason for not answering police summons

A woman identified as Ms Oh has issued a lengthy rebuttal after Song Ha Yoon's legal team filed a complaint against her. She previously accused the actress of school bullying. Background of the controversy On July 2, actress Song Ha Yoon 's legal team revealed that the actress had officially filed a criminal complaint against Ms Oh. The legal representatives stated that Song had collected various forms of evidence in the past year to challenge the claims. The actress had submitted them to the police. The case, which first surfaced in 2024, gained renewed attention following this legal move. Ms Oh breaks silence Shortly after news of the complaint emerged, Ms Oh issued a detailed statement on an online community. This marks her first public response in over a year. Identifying herself as a U.S. citizen of Korean descent, she claimed that she had already submitted a written statement to Korean authorities along with a copy of her passport. Contrary to reports, she denied refusing to cooperate with police and clarified that she has not been placed on any wanted list. Clarifies her legal and citizenship status She also addressed the confusion over her nationality. Ms Oh explained that although she has acquired U.S. citizenship, her Korean citizenship remains intact for administrative convenience. It's because the process to renounce it is not automatic. She emphasized that this had no bearing on the legal dispute. Ms Oh also noted that she has been residing in the U.S. since 2017 and has not returned to Korea since. Explains refusal to appear in person She pushed back against criticism that she did not appear in Korea for questioning. According to Ms Oh, the expectation to travel abroad at her own expense, despite being the alleged victim, is 'excessive and unreasonable.' She said she has already provided sufficient written evidence and remains reachable for further communication. Forcing her to appear physically, she argued, would infringe on her legal rights. Denies reports of being 'Wanted' Ms Oh also took issue with claims that she had been designated as a 'wanted' individual. She stressed that no such official label had been communicated to her. She claimed that the investigation had only been temporarily suspended, not escalated to involve travel bans or warrants. 'Therefore, the claim that I am on such a list is exaggerated or inaccurate,' she stated. Questions Song Ha Yoon's school transfer One of the core arguments Ms Oh presented was regarding Song Ha Yoon 's school history. She explained, 'I would like to clarify that Banpo High School and Gujeong High School belong to the same school district, making a regular transfer between them impossible. If not for a disciplinary action such as school violence, such a transfer could not have taken place.' She said this supports her allegation that Song's transfer was a result of misconduct, not personal choice. Reasserts her claims are truthful Ms Oh reiterated that the events she described, specifically physical assaults by Song, had been shared publicly on JTBC's Crime Chief. The claims were verified by the program's producers. She argued that her statements were 'factual and truthful,' and fell within her right to defend herself publicly. Plans for legal action In conclusion, Ms Oh revealed she is currently in talks with a Korean law firm and preparing to take civil and criminal action if necessary. She criticized, 'I believe that Song Ha Yoon is using this case to cover up her own past misconduct and to shift the blame onto me.' 'I strongly urge Song Ha Yoon and her representatives to immediately stop making excessive legal threats and manipulating public opinion,' she stated. She vows to protect her rights and reveal more as the case progresses.

Song Ha Yoon reacts to bullying allegations; Releases a statement: "These claims are false.."

Actress Song Ha Yoon had last year gone viral for her role as the bully and unfaithful friend in the Korean drama ' Marry My Husband '. The celebrity's reign over popularity, however, was short-lived, as allegations of her being a bully in real life as well came forward. After facing all of the ridicule and judgment, the actress is finally addressing the rumours. Song Ha Yoon releases an official statement on bullying allegations On July 2, as per reports from Allkpop, the actress released an official statement about the bullying rumours and allegations. The statement was released to the public through her legal representatives, and claimed that the allegations are false; however, in order to prove her claims, it has taken time since the alleged incident is dated to be more than 20 years ago. The statement read that "In response to the school bullying controversy raised against Song Ha Yoon last year regarding incidents said to have occurred over 20 years ago, she has consistently maintained that these claims are false." They continued by sharing that as soon as the allegations were falsely shared and started accusing Ha Yoon of bullying 20 years ago, the actress took strict and immediate legal action. Legal actions against the one's who spread the allegations As per the statement, Song Ha Yoon has also filed a legal case against the person who shared the alleged rumours online under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilisation and Information Protection (defamation). She also claimed that the person obstructed and stopped her from doing her business by fraud, and filed a legal complaint for the same as well. Meanwhile, Ms. Oh has repeatedly refused to cooperate and has claimed to be living in the United States as well. Since they still retain their Korean citizenship passport, the court allowed for the case to be moved forward. Not only that, but a 'designated notification order' was also issued against Ms. Oh, ensuring that if and when she enters South Korea , the appropriate authorities will be notified of their return to the country. Song Ha Yoon's claim on the allegations Ever since the alleged rumours were shared online, the actress has firmly denied that any bullying activity took place in her school years. As the case proceeds, public institutions, notarised statements, and any other required evidence have been submitted from the 'Intimate Strangers' actress's side to the authorities for official investigation. Last year, around April, allegations and online posts about the actress being involved in school violence surfaced online. Many of these online posts claimed that the actress was directly involved in bullying, and even had to get transferred twice from her school.

Marry My Husband's Song Ha Yoon school violence case: Accuser placed on wanted list after ignoring police, actress files complaint

Actress Song Ha Yoon, known for her chilling role in Marry My Husband, has officially spoken out for the first time in over a year. The statement comes in response to a school violence scandal that rocked her rising career. On July 2, her legal representation at Jieum Law Firm released a comprehensive statement detailing the steps Song has taken in response to the allegations. The steps include filing a criminal complaint and collecting evidence to clear her name. Until now, Song Ha Yoon had remained largely silent after being accused in April 2024 of bullying a classmate during middle school. The delay in her response, her team explained, was intentional. She chose not to issue statements immediately, instead focusing on gathering facts through lawful investigation. Song Ha Yoon takes legal action Now, with new evidence in hand, Song Ha Yoon has filed a criminal complaint against Ms. Oh, the accuser. Her legal team stated that the actress is accusing Ms. Oh of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act and obstruction of business. The complaint is backed by months of documentation, statements, and efforts to disprove what her team calls 'false claims.' Authorities agreed there was a valid reason to investigate Ms. Oh's actions. However, the case hit a roadblock when it was discovered that Ms. Oh was residing in the United States. She refused to respond to multiple police summons. Although she claimed U.S. citizenship, Korea's Ministry of Justice confirmed she still retains Korean nationality. With her continued non-compliance, Korean police issued a 'wanted notification' for Ms. Oh in May 2025. She is now officially listed in the police database. Should she re-enter South Korea, law enforcement will be immediately alerted and the investigation will resume without delay. Eyewitness accounts and new evidence According to Song's legal team, the actress has spent the past year quietly but thoroughly gathering evidence to support her innocence. She has submitted notarized statements, school records, and witness testimonies that directly contradict Ms. Oh's claims. One person named by Ms. Oh as a witness told Song they had never seen any act of violence committed by her. Despite clarifying this directly to Ms. Oh, the witness was still mentioned in interviews and reports as someone who supported the claims. Song also reached out to her homeroom teacher from that time. The teacher stated they were unaware of any disciplinary incident or school transfer involving her due to violence. Other classmates similarly stepped forward, many asserting that they never witnessed any bullying. Legal action beyond Korea Song's legal team is also considering civil and criminal action in the United States, where Ms. Oh currently resides. Additionally, they are reviewing potential lawsuits against individuals who participated in spreading or embellishing the original claims. Background: The start of the controversy In early 2024, an anonymous report surfaced. It accused Song Ha Yoon of physically assaulting a classmate back in 2004, when both were in their third year of middle school. The informant referred to as Ms. Oh. She claimed that 'S,' later widely speculated to be Song, was behind the attack that left her traumatized. At the time, Song was receiving widespread praise for her performance as the villain Jung Soo Min in the drama Marry My Husband. However, the allegations quickly cast a shadow over her success. Her former agency, KINGKONG by STARSHIP, acknowledged that she had transferred schools during her academic years. Many took that as confirmation of her guilt. With mounting online backlash, Song halted all public activity. Other than her appearance in the pre-filmed drama A History of Losers, she quietly withdrew from all promotions, interviews, and new projects.
