Earlier this year, Sonos permanently dropped the price of its Era 100 speaker to $199, making it more affordable for people looking to build a multiroom wireless speaker setup. Now, the small-but-mighty speaker is even cheaper to kick off summer. Sonos is offering the refurbished Era 100 for just $119 ($40 off), the lowest price we've seen on the smart speaker. Sonos Certified Refurbished products are thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and tested by the brand's in-house team, and you get the same one-year warranty as new Sonos products. The Era 100 is Sonos' most affordable in-home smart speaker. Offering pleasant sound at a relatively compact size, it improves upon the prior Sonos One with stereo audio, line-in support, and Bluetooth support. The Sonos Era 100 is the brand's mainstream home speaker, offering stereo sound, line-in and Bluetooth audio support, and more intuitive physical controls. For instance, there are dedicated track controls — no need for swipe gestures — and a separate indented bar for volume. The speaker features two tweeters, enabling proper left and right channel reproduction. Additionally, the Era 100 comes with a larger midwoofer compared to its predecessor, Sonos One, for more booming bass. Usually retailing at £249, the shopping giant is offering a generous discount, cutting its price down to £179. Featuring next-gen acoustics and new levels of connectivity, this product can fill any room with finely tuned stereo sound and a rich bass. Its compact and sleek design is made to fit beautifully on bookshelves, kitchen counters, desks, or nightstands. Working alongside the Sonos app, the gadget allows users to stream from all their favourite services over WiFi. Those who own several of the speakers can use them both for listening to music or for watching TV or films in surround sound, ensuring an enhanced audio experience. It also allows Bluetooth pairing at the press of a button. For those with a record player, it's simple to connect the speaker to a turntable or other audio source using an auxiliary cable and the Sonos Line-In Adapter. But Amazon's discounted Sonos speaker is top-rated, with a strong 4.3 stars out of five. One happy shopper said: "I already own a pair of the fantastic Sonos Era 100 's that I use for listening to music in my bedroom. "Since upgrading to a Beam gen 2 soundbar for the living room TV, I had to complement it by adding another pair of Era 100's to use as my surround speakers. "And boy I'm so glad I did. They really make all the difference. The build quality is great and ease of use and connectivity. !I only have a small space to fill but the sound is perfect for movies and listening to music and to be able to group them with my bedroom speakers to have music playing throughout. Definitely a good investment." But one shopper was less impressed, saying: "I don't like to leave 1 star reviews, but I struggle to give it anything higher. Sonos have really dropped the ball. Several months ago they updated their Android app, and it stopped you being able to use Alexa on the speaker. This still hasn't been fixed over there months later. However, another happy shopper said: "I've been thinking of getting a new speaker for a long time and finally took the plunge. So glad that I chose this one. "The sound is amazing. We listen to a lot of reggae and the bass is awesome. As for the setup, it was no problem at all. All my favourite music platforms added in minutes. Connectivity, no problem at all."
