However, the production team swiftly addressed the growing rumours, assuring viewers that Dilip Joshi remains an active part of the the buzz, a behind-the-scenes photo of Dilip Joshi alongside Swati Sharma, the actress portraying the ghostly character Chakori, started trending online. The viral image brought relief to many loyal fans. In the photograph, Dilip Joshi is casually dressed in a white T-shirt, standing next to Swati Sharma, who is dressed in a striking red and black saree as part of her on-screen look. Their friendly pose sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with viewers thrilled to see Jethalal again. The series, produced by Asit Kumarr Modi, first aired on Sony SAB on July 28, 2008, and is also available on the digital platform SonyLIV. Over time, TMKOC has become one of India's most celebrated and enduring shows, recently crossing the impressive milestone of 4,000 episodes. It ranks as the second-longest Indian TV series overall and the longest-running Indian sitcom by number of in Mumbai, the show revolves around the lives of culturally diverse residents of Gokuldham Society. Varun Badola Is Returning To Small Screen With Itti Si Khushi After 5 Years
Varun Badola will portray the role of Suhas Divekar, an alcohol addict. Varun Badola, known for his roles in shows like Banegi Apni Baat, Koshish – Ek Asha, and Astitva… Ek Prem Kahani, is returning to the small screen after a five-year hiatus. He is making his comeback with a role in the upcoming show titled Itti Si Khushi. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, the show tells the story of love, loss, and responsibility within a broken family. It will follow the life of Anvita Divekar, the eldest of six siblings, who becomes the backbone of her family In the show, Varun will portray the role of Anvita and her siblings' father, Suhas Divekar, an alcohol addict who has emotional detachment. Speaking about the complexity of his character, the actor, as quoted by the Times of India, shared, 'Suhas is a man who's constantly escaping responsibility, yet he isn't entirely heartless." The 51-year-old actor further shared his experience of playing a character who isn't your typical villain. He added, 'It's a delicate balance to portray someone who isn't a typical antagonist but whose failures have had a deep impact on his children. It's a very layered character; one moment, he frustrates you, the next, he breaks your heart." The story of Itti Si Khushi will mainly focus on Suhas's 21-year-old daughter, Anvita, played by Sumbul Touqeer Khan. She has to look after her family after her father succumbs to alcoholism and her mother leaves them. Being the eldest among her six siblings, she decides to set aside her dreams and hopes, instead becoming the support system for them. Itti Si Khushi will be released on Sony SAB. The release date of the show is still under wraps. Speaking of Varun Badola's work front, he made his debut in showbiz with the 1994 TV show Banegi Apni Baat. A celebrated name in the industry, the actor was last seen in the show Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, which premiered in 2019 and featured Shweta Tiwari and Anjali Tatrari in key roles. Besides television, Varun has also appeared in several films, including Akshay Kumar's Mission Raniganj, Sanya Malhotra's Mrs., and Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's Sky Force. Titled Itti Si Khushi, the new family drama will be releasing on Sony SAB. Sumbul will play the role of Anvita Divekar in the show. With a father battling alcoholism and a mother who abandoned them, Anvita becomes the glue that holds her family together, sacrificing her education and setting aside her own aspirations to build a better future for them. What follows is a tender yet raw portrayal of everyday survival, silent sacrifices, and the quiet triumph of love and resilience. Talking about portraying Anvita, Sumbul Touqeer Khan shares, 'I am very excited to be a part of Itti Si Khushi and bring Anvita's story to life in a show that is extremely warm and heartfelt. Her Bollywood debut was in Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Article 15. Her first TV show as a lead was in Imlie. Sumbul participated in Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss 16 and was the highest-paid contestant on the show. She finished in seventh place.

Disha joined the show when it first aired in 2008, and in a short time, her character of Daya Bhabhi became beloved in every household. After portraying the role for nearly nine years, she eventually said goodbye to the show. Disha Vakani is now busy with her personal life. We, as a team, are trying to fill Daya Bhabhi's absence as much as we can. But she will return soon.' Asit said that Disha is like his sister and would want to see her coming back as Dayaben. He continued, 'We can only pray that Disha Vakani returns as the character. She is like my sister, and she has some family duties to fulfill, which is why it might be difficult for her to return. We miss her even today. She was very sincere and caring towards her co-stars and the team. We hope to find someone just like that.'
