Pakistani actor Ayesha Khan was found dead in her home in Karachi on June 19. The police and forensic team on the scene reported that she had passed away around a week ago and her body had already reached an advanced state of decomposition, as per Pakistani publication The Express Tribune. Ayesha had been working in shows, telefilms and movies for almost 4 decades and was an incredibly prolific television star. Her last appearance was on the show Soteli Maamta (2020). As per the same report, Ayesha's neighbours reported a foul smell originating from her house and alerted the authorities. Her body was moved to the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre for the postmortem examination; however, the examination was halted as the authorities were waiting for her son to arrive from overseas, so for now her body has been taken to the Edhi Foundation mortuary. The police told Pakistani publication Dawn that it is possible that Ayesha might have fallen while coming out of her bathroom and died of natural causes.
