Cat travels 400-miles in minibus engine before ending up at Scots coach depot
The furry feline leapt out at Park's of Hamilton Depot in Blantyre after the bus arrived from South Mimms Service in Herfordshire England - over 373 miles away.
A cat has travelled almost 400 miles next to a mini-bus engine before being found at a Scots coach depot.
The furry feline leapt out at Park's of Hamilton Depot in Blantyre after the bus had arrived from South Mimms Service in Herfordshire England on July 7, over 373 miles away.
As Glasgow Live reports, the female cat could have also snuck into the vehicle when it stopped off at Norton Canes Services and Lancaster Services.
The driver made the shocking discovery when he opened the bonnet.
Now the 'lucky' girl is in the care of Cats Protection and after a couple of days snooping around Blantyre is staying at the charity's Kirkintilloch shelter.
The charity have launched a desperate appeal to try and locate the owners of the well travelled pet.
The team say the cat is not microchipped and is quite distinctive with a white coat and black and brown markings. They say they whoever comes forward will require photographic evidence to claim the cat back.

A social media post on Scotland Cat Centre reads: "We are going to need some help with this post! We believe this wee lady has travelled quite a distance as she was found in a minibus engine that arrived back in Glasgow after travelling from South Mimms services, also stopping at Norton Canes services and Lancaster services
"When the bus arrived back at Parks of Hamilton Depot in Blantyre, she jumped out of the engine when the driver opened it and stuck around for a couple days until she could be brought to our centre this was on the 7th July so only a couple days ago!
"Please please share, it would be a miracle if we could get her reunited with an owner, sadly she is not microchipped, she is quite distinctive, please note photographic evidence is required to claim a cat back
If you think you can reunite this little lady with her owners, you can email enquiries@ or call +44 141 779 3341.
