Deion Sanders' Nike Air Diamond Turf 'Emerald' Release Date With OG Treatment
Deion Sanders' Nike Air Diamond Turf 'Emerald' Release Date With OG Treatment originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Diamond Turf 1 has multiple impressive colorways, but none deviate from the original design more beautifully than the Emerald. The primary original colorways all tell a slightly different story. 'The Falcons' is a measured chaos with competing panels and abrupt line changes, along with being half-white and half-black. The primarily black are almost completely black. The 'Must Be The Money,' expected to be released in September, are mostly white. However, the Diamond Turf 1 'Emerald' finds a happy medium between chaos and uniformity. Advertisement The colorway pushes back on the chaos of the OG but is unwilling to be completely anything as uniform as the 'Signing Day' and 'Ravens' colorways. The 'Emerald' has a predominantly a black base. A black upper, midsole and outsole. Nike saw an opportunity to color outside the lines on this one and to create something subtly unique within the Diamond Turf line. With a black base shoe, they make the entire forefoot strap pure white but doesn't stop there. The panel running under the forefoot strap starts low at the end of the toe box and rises gradually as you move towards the back of the shoe. This creates a slope that is also white gives the perception that the strap is part of a larger piece. The Deion Sanders gold motif continues with this model. It's similar to every other Diamond Turf, except for 'Love Letter to Connie.' The feature in the 'Emerald' that every Sneakerhead should take note of and likely rejoice over is the return to the original inner sock/tongue detailing. It's a detailed Nike innovation that is beloved by Sneakerheads on models throughout the 90s. In most cases, they are a base color. The Diamond Turf 1 'Emerald' asks the question, why does the inner sock have to be basic? The simplest way to describe it is shattered Emerald green glass over a black background. In 2009, Nike re-released the Emerald DT1 with a solid black inner sock. This was to the dismay of Sneakerheads everywhere. The confirmed images show the return of the inner sock detailing. While many outlets and platforms are still quoting 'Fall 2025', a specific release date of August 29, 2025 has emerged, according to Sneaker News. Which does track with Nike's Diamond Turf schedule as previously laid out. View the 6 images of this gallery on the original article Nike Air Diamond Turf "Emerald" SKU: IB2240-001 Retail Price: $155 Release Date: Aug 29, 2025 The Diamond Turf 1 'Emerald' releasing that day is not arbitrary. It's a Friday and coincides with Coach Prime's first regular season game for Colorado's 2025 schedule, which is against Georgia Tech. Which should allow enough time for fans to secure their pair before heading to Folsom Field to watch the Buffs play on national television later that night. Sophie Cunningham's Daring Outfit Turns Heads Before Chicago Sky Game
Sophie Cunningham's Daring Outfit Turns Heads Before Chicago Sky Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On the eve of their matchup against the Chicago Sky at the United Center, two of the Indiana Fever's key backcourt players, Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, made a bold statement, despite both being on the Fever's injury report. Advertisement Clark, the Fever's 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick and reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year, has been on the shelf since straining her left quad on their May 24 match vs the New York Liberty. Cunningham left the May 30 game against the Connecticut Sun with a right ankle sprain and, as of Friday, was confirmed to be out again on Saturday. Before Saturday's contest, Clark stepped out in a coordinated brown two-piece set, complete with a matching purse, while Cunningham countered with an all-black ensemble. However, it was Cunningham's daring look that stole the show. Her striking look immediately drew the eyes of fans and media alike. Advertisement "MY QUEEN 👸," said one fan. "I'm imagining a red carpet😍," replied another user. "Good Lord," commented one other fan. "Sophie STUNNINGHAM 😎," another user responded. "Sophie is insane," said one commenter.
