Mah wins overall title in National School Sports Competition
Pune, June 27 (UNI) After the Khelo India Youth Games, Maharashtra has also won the overall title in the National School Sports Competition. The winners' trophy has been handed over to the Commissioner of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Sheetal Teli-Ugle, said the district information office here today. Maharashtra, the defending champion, has performed as expected and has also won the overall title in the 68th National School Sports Competition. 45-day summer sports training camps across state from May 1
Bhopal: Summer sports training programmes will be held throughout the state this year. The camps will operate for 45 days from May 1 to June 15 at district and block levels, with the camp starting at Tatya Tope Stadium in Bhopal. Sports department officials have outlined the distribution of training camps: 2 sports camps at development block headquarters, 4 sports at small district headquarters, 8 sports at major district headquarters, and 15 sports at divisional headquarters. "The sessions in schools will be over on April 30. Parents want to utilise their children's time in extracurricular activities. There is nothing better than utilising the summer vacations in sports. Sports and Youth Welfare Department is giving sports opportunities to the children," said an official.
