Ram Mandir construction nears completion, priest hiring underway
The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has initiated the recruitment process to appoint new priests (archaks) to oversee daily rituals, including adornment (shringar puja) and offerings (bhog), at 14 temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. During the training period, trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹ 2,000. (FOR REPRESENTATION) The Trust has appointed treasurer Govind Devgiri as the chairman of the religious committee constituted to oversee the selection process. Applications from interested candidates will be accepted through the Trust's website from June 26 to June 30. According to Anil Mishra, a member of the Trust, applicants must be between 20-30 years of age. He stated that Gurukul education is mandatory, and preference will be given to candidates who are residents of Ayodhya. During the training period, trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹ 2,000. The construction of the Ram Mandir is expected to be completed by December 2025. 'Most of the construction work will be completed by October this year and any remaining work will be completed by December,' said Champat Rai, general secretary of the Trust, adding that currently, finishing work is in progress within the temple premises. Once this is completed, the machinery will be removed, and cleaning of the complex will begin, said Rai. The Trust has planned four entry gates for the temple complex—three of which are nearly complete. Construction of the fourth gate will commence after the completion of the first three. The Trust office, auditorium, and guest house are currently under construction within the temple complex and are expected to be completed by 2026. According to the Trust, Bhog prasad for Ram Lalla will be prepared in the Sita Rasoi, located in the basement of the temple complex. The Sita Rasoi will start preparing Bhog prasad from October, and a temple dedicated to Goddess Annapurna has already come up.

Vedic rituals mark start of Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar in Ayodhya
The temple town of Ayodhya was decked up for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Darbar on Tuesday with all temples across the city and Ram Mandir decorated with flowers. This ceremony is part of the Ram Mandir's second Pran Pratishtha, and will conclude on June 5, coinciding with Ganga Dussehra. The main Prana Pratishtha of Ram Darbar and other deities will take place on June 5. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will preside over the ceremony. Along with Ram Darbar, Pran Pratishtha of idols in other temples will also take place on Thursday. The three-day grand celebrations for the ceremony began on Tuesday at 6.30 am with a two-hour Panchang Puja outside the Yajna Mandap. Following this, the Yajna Shala entry ceremony took place at 9 am. Nine Yajna Kundas and 16 priests have been appointed for performing vedic rituals in the Yajna Shala. Around 101 acharyas recited 1975 Vedic mantras during the ceremony. Subsequently, rituals such as Digarh Rakshan, Vastu Puja, Mandap Puja, Pradhan Puja, Agni Sthapan, and Grah Sthapan were performed for the next three hours. After these rituals, from 2 pm, various other ceremonies were conducted, including Yogini Puja, Kshetrapal Puja, Grahyagya, Havan for invoking deities, Karmakuti, and Jaladhivas. The Yajna Shala features nine Yajna Kundas, and eight priests were appointed for the Jaap, while another eight were assigned for different texts. Anil Mishra, member of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, is the host for three-day rituals. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Ayodhya for three-day rituals, though there was no ban on routine darshan of Ram Lalla for devotees. The Ayodhya police have initiated a verification process for tenants and residents of unauthorised settlements due to the city's sensitive nature and security concerns. Six teams have been deployed in the Kotwali Ayodhya and Ram Janmabhoomi police station areas, which have verified approximately 150 homes so far. Praveen Kumar, IG, Ayodhya range, on Tuesday, reviewed security arrangements and deployment of personnel. This initiative aims to enhance security measures in Ayodhya, particularly around the Ram temple, which has a significant security presence, including CRPF, SSF, and PAC personnel. In the Ram Mandir's perimeter (parkota) temples of Surya, Ganesh, Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, Mata Bhagwati, and Mata Annapurna have also come up. The Sapt Mandapam area has temples of Valmiki, Vishwamitra, Agastya, Vashistha, Nishadraj and Ahalya. Ram Mandir spire now sports 42-foot flagpole
Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust installed a 42-foot flagpole on the main spire of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, on Tuesday. The installation process began at 6:30 am and was completed by 8 am. Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Trust shared photographs of the event. Meanwhile, the idol installation ceremony of Ram Darbar on the temple's first floor, will now take place next month. It was scheduled to be held on Akshaya Tritiya on Wednesday. According to the Trust, the ceremony has been delayed due to some defect in idols of the Ram Darbar. The trust will make elaborate arrangements for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar, which is scheduled for June. The Ram Darbar will feature four-and-a-half-foot tall marble idols of Mata Sita, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ram and his brothers Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan. The idols have been carved from white Makrana marble in Rajasthan, said Anil Mishra, a member of the trust. To maintain the site's sanctity, only a limited number of devotees will be allowed access to the temple's first floor. The second floor of the temple will feature a display of the Ramayan in multiple languages, including its oldest known version. In August last year, the trust also received a Ram Darbar made of Titanium from Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI). It will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum on the first floor of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. MIDHANI is an enterprise of the Union defence ministry. 'On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya the Ram Darbar was to be ceremoniously placed in the sanctum sanctorum on the first floor. But the ceremony has now been postponed for next month,' said the trust. Mishra emphasised that 99% of the construction work had been completed. 'Today, the Dhwajdand (temple flagpole) has been installed atop the shikhar, which is essentially a symbolic declaration that the work on the shikhar is now complete. The overall construction of the temple is now nearly finished,' Mishra said. 'The installation of the Ram Darbar on the first floor will take place on May 23. Following this, there will be some associated religious ceremonies. On June 5, Lord Ram will be ceremoniously enshrined according to our faith and rituals,' Mishra said. He said that the Prime Minister had given special importance to seven temples to be built for the sages and devotees who were associated with Lord Ram. 'These seven temples are also now complete. The temples of Maharishi Valmiki, Shri Vashisht ji, Vishwamitra ji, Ahilya ji, Nishadraj Maharaj, Shabari Mata, and Agastya Muni located within the temple premises will also be opened to the public after June 5,' Mishra said.
