Gadwal: An awareness program was organized by the SHE Team at the Zilla Parishad High School in Manopad on Wednesday, under the guidance of Jogulamba Gadwal Superintendent of Police Sri T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS. The session was led by SHE Team In-charge Sub-Inspector Tejaswini along with team members. The main aim of the program was to educate girl students about SHE Teams, their role, and how they can help ensure the safety and protection of women and girls. The team elaborated on important topics including: What is a SHE Team? Good Touch vs. Bad Touch Eve-Teasing Ragging Harassment Online Trapping through Instagram and other chat platforms Students were sensitized on how to identify inappropriate behavior and respond to it confidently. They were encouraged to report any incident of harassment, whether at schools, colleges, bus stops, or other public places, without hesitation. For assistance, they were advised to immediately contact the SHE Team Helpline at 8712670312 or Dial 100. The police assured that the identity of complainants will be kept strictly confidential. The session also covered precautionary measures that women and girls should follow to ensure their safety in various situations. The program was well-attended by the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Shiva Prasad, SHE Team members Seshanna, Divyavani, and Hanmanthu, along with several teachers and students. The participants appreciated the interactive session and expressed confidence in approaching law enforcement if needed. Gadwal: On Wednesday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sri T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, paid a surprise visit to the Maldakal Police Station in Jogulamba Gadwal district. During the inspection, he reviewed the functioning of the station, examined official records, and assessed the discipline and efficiency of police personnel. As part of the visit, the SP inspected several key areas within the police station premises including: Reception area Station Writer's desk Technical team section SHO's office Men's rest room Lock-up room He closely reviewed daily-maintained records such as the General Diary, Beat Duty Books, and Superior Officers' Visiting Books. Cleanliness and Staff Welfare Emphasized Addressing the police staff, the SP stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around the police station on a daily basis. He encouraged the staff to promptly bring any personal or professional issues to his attention for resolution. Assessment of Manpower and Duties SP Srinivasa Rao took stock of the personnel present at the station and the specific duties assigned to each of them. He inquired about: The number of Blue Colts and Patrol Cars operating from the station on a daily basis. The number and distribution of beats under the police station's jurisdiction. He issued clear instructions to ensure regular patrolling in the area to prevent thefts and other criminal activities. Strong Focus on Drunk Driving, Cyber Crimes, and Public Awareness The SP ordered intensified Drunk and Drive inspections to help control road accidents. He emphasized the need for swift response to Dial 100 calls, ensuring police personnel immediately reach the incident site and resolve issues effectively. The SP chaired the Praja Vani (Public Grievance Redressal) program on Monday, during which he personally received 19 complaints, primarily concerning land disputes, from citizens hailing from various parts of the district. The event saw the participation of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Moggalayya, along with Circle Inspectors from Alampur, Gadwal, and Shantinagar regions. During the proceedings, SP Srinivasa Rao reviewed the action taken on previously filed complaints by seeking detailed updates from the concerned Circle Officers. He also conducted direct phone interactions with Station House Officers (SHOs) of relevant police stations to assess ongoing efforts and issue necessary instructions. The SP emphasized strict legal action against the following: Individuals threatening public peace and security. Those involved in land encroachments. Fraudsters who cheat innocent people. Persons committing acts of violence and intimidation. Women's Safety – A Priority SP Srinivasa Rao underlined the need for immediate police response in cases involving harassment, threats, or mistreatment of women. He clearly instructed the officials to take firm legal steps against the perpetrators in such cases. He also stressed the importance of peaceful resolution of domestic disputes between spouses. As a part of this initiative, he directed that concerned couples be referred to the weekly counseling sessions conducted every Saturday under the supervision of the District Police Department at the DSP Office premises. These sessions aim to provide awareness and reconciliation support. Gadwal: Jogulamba Gadwal District Superintendent of Police, Sri T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, has appealed to the public not to panic if they lose their mobile phones, but to immediately lodge a complaint through the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) Portal. He assured that police officials will take prompt action to trace and recover the lost or stolen phones and return them to their rightful owners. In a recent event, SP T. Srinivasa Rao handed over 52 recovered mobile phones to their respective owners in the district. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that while there's no need to panic when a phone is lost or stolen, people must also remain vigilant and avoid carelessness. He stated that special units have been formed in each police station in the district to deal with lost and stolen mobile phone complaints. So far this year, 853 complaints have been registered on the CEIR portal from the district, out of which 413 phones have been traced. Among these, 260 mobile phones have already been recovered and handed over to the owners. He further added that to combat the increasing number of mobile phone thefts, the Department of Telecommunications has launched the CEIR portal, which is proving to be an effective tool in locating and recovering lost phones. The SP urged citizens to immediately block their lost or stolen mobile phones through the CEIR portal ( and report the incident at their nearest police station. DSP Mogilayya and other police personnel were present at the event.
