93% engineering seats filled in State
Of the total 83,054 available engineering seats in the State for the academic year 2025-26, 77,561 seats (about 93%) have been allotted as of the first phase allotment of seats, EAPCET 2025 Convenor A. Sridevasena informed on Friday. Eighty-two institutions in the State – six university level and 76 private institutions saw a 100% allotment. A total of 172 institutions, most of them 149 private institutions, participated in the allotment process. A 100% allotment and seats were filled for courses such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Business System, CSE (IoT and Cyber Security), and CSE (Networks). Full allotments were also in various Electronics & Electrical, Civil and other engineering courses such as Chemical Engineering, Geo Informatics and Agricultural Engineering. As per the web-based counselling for admission to engineering colleges conducted, a mock allotment was published, modifications to the probable allotment were followed and the allotment in the first phase made. Compared to mock allotments, the first phase allotments saw 36,544 candidates changing their college or branch. Category-wise allotment showed that the maximum was for candidates from BC-B category (15,897), followed by open category (15,470), BC-D (13,478), ST (7,921), and SC-II (7,842). Gender-wise, male candidates' allotment was 54.1% and female candidates 45.9% In all, over 95,000 candidates attended certificate verification, and 94,354 candidates exercised options. A total of 6,083 candidates secured allotments under the Economically Weaker Section quota. As of Friday, 5,493 seats are vacant. Ms. Sridevasena stressed that self-reporting system by candidates is a mandatory exercise. The process can be completed by logging on the official website: Candidates who get allotment in the second phase but do not report to the allotted college will not be allowed to exercise options in the final phase of counselling.

Telangana offers 1.07 lakh engineering seats across 171 colleges for 2025 admissions
HYDERABAD: Telangana has 1,07,218 seats in 171 engineering colleges, Telangana State Council of Higher Education announced on Sunday. Out of the total seats, 76,795 (70 per cent) will be filled under the Convenor quota. The Council for Higher Education announced the details on Sunday when eligible and qualified candidates of TGEAPCET-2025 (Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) were allowed to exercise web options. The candidates can exercise their options till July 10. The last date for certificate verification is July 8. So far, 76,494 candidates have attended for certificate verification. A total of 95,654 candidates have paid the processing fee and booked slots. According to Sridevasena, commissioner of Technical Education and Convenor, TGEAPCET-2025, the candidates have to exercise as many options as possible to get allotment in a better college and course in the first phase itself. According to the Higher Education Council, 21 constituent engineering colleges of 10 universities have an intake of 5,808 engineering seats. Two colleges under private universities have a total of 1,800 seats, and out of that, 1,260 seats will be filled under the Convenor quota. A total of 99,610 seats are available in 148 private unaided engineering colleges. Out of these, 69,727 seats will be filled under the Convenor quota. The Higher Education Council has also given the break-up of seats available in all 47 engineering colleges. As many as 26,150 seats are available in computer sciences and engineering -- 12,495 in computer science and engineering (Artificial intelligence and machine learning) and 10,125 in electronics and communication engineering. There are 6,996 seats in computer science and engineering (Data Science), 4,301 in electrical and electronics engineering, 3,681 in information technology, 3,129 in civil engineering, and 2,994 in mechanical engineering. The convenor said 1,235 seats are available in artificial intelligence and data science, and 1,439 in computer science and engineering (cybersecurity). There are only 30 seats available in agricultural engineering, 42 each in artificial intelligence, automobile engineering, computer science and engineering (Networks), electronics, communication and instrumentation engineering, electronic and telematics, mechanical (Mechatronics) engineering, metallurgy and material engineering. TGEAPCET-2025: Slot booking for first phase counselling to continue till Jul 7
Hyderabad: Commissioner of Technical Education and Convenor of TGEAPCET-2025, A Sridevasena, announced that the payment of the processing fee and slot booking for PGEAPCET-2025 will continue until July 7. Candidates can exercise their options from July 6 to 10. On July 3, a total of 88,802 candidates booked slots for certificate verification, but only 40,561 attended. The mock seat allotment results will be displayed on or before July 13. Sridevasena stated, 'Modification of options will be allowed if required; otherwise, the options exercised for the mock allotment will be considered for the first phase of allotment from July 14 to 15.' Provisional allotment of seats will be completed on or before July 18, and the payment of tuition fees along with self-reporting through the website must be finalized between July 18 and 22. Candidates who book their slots and attend certificate verification earlier will have more time to exercise their options. Therefore, candidates and parents are advised to pay the processing fee and book their slots immediately. Telangana ECET 2025 Counselling Schedule Announced
The Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) 2025 counselling schedule has been officially released, allowing students who have completed their polytechnic studies to gain direct entry into the second year of and courses, starting from tomorrow, June 14. The announcement was made by Professor Balakishta Reddy, Chairman of the State Council of Higher Education and Chair of the Admissions Committee. According to the schedule issued by Sridevasena, State Commissioner of Technical Education and Convener of Admissions, the counselling process will occur in two phases. The first phase will commence with slot booking, which will be available from June 14 to 18. Certificate verification is set to take place from June 17 to 19, followed by the opportunity for students to register their web options from June 17 to 21. Seat allocation is scheduled for June 25, with successful candidates required to report online by June 29. The second phase of counselling will begin on July 11, with applications accepted from July 11 to 13. Certificate verification will occur on July 14, and students can submit their web options until July 15. Seat allocation is planned for July 18, with online reporting due by July 20. Students are required to join their assigned colleges by July 23. Additionally, spot admission guidelines will be issued on July 22, with the completion of spot admissions set for July 29, following the established timetable.
