Thammudu 1st Monday India Box Office: Nithiin starrer slumps to under Rs 1 crore gross on day 4; Seals a disastrous theatrical fate

Thammudu, directed by Sriram Venu and starring Nithiin and Sapthami Gowda among others, is performing poorly at the Indian box office. The movie added Rs 60 lakh gross in India on day 4, after a Rs 4.40 crore first weekend, for a 4 day cumulative total of Rs 5 crore. The trend of the movie suggests an India gross finish in the Rs 8 crore range. With overseas collections set to end under Rs 1.50 crore, Thammudu will become a rare film with a reasonable sized star to gross under Rs 10 crore worldwide in the full run. The Day Wise India Gross Collections Of Thammudu In India Are As Under Day India Gross Collections Friday Rs 2.05 crore Saturday Rs 1.15 crore Sunday Rs 1.20 crore Monday Rs 60 lakh Total Rs 5 crore gross in 4 days Thammudu Joins Macherla Niyojakavargam, Extra Ordinary Man, and Robinhood As Yet Another Disaster By Nithiin Nithiin is not having a good run at the box office, with his films failing back to back. After Macherla Niyojakavargam, Extra Ordinary Man, and Robinhood, Thammudu has joined the list of Nithiin's recent disasters. Distrubutors Are Set To Lose Over Rs 20 Crore On Thammudu Thammudu, with a breakeven point of Rs 25 crore worldwide, will manage barely Rs 4 crore. The distributors will lose to the tune of Rs 21 crore and it goes without saying that the producers will have to step in and ensure no distributor loses a lot by acquiring this movie. Thammudu Is A Loss Making Proposition For Also Its Producers Even with all the revenues coming from non-theatrical sources, Thammudu will end up as a big loss making proposition for the producers. Once a saleable star, Nithiin, with his consecutive failures, is no longer a star who can shoulder a film to the safety mark. A big comeback is due now, for the actor. Yellamma is said to be the movie that will mark Nithiin's big return. But so was said about Robinhood and Thammudu.

Ahead of Thammudu's release Nithiin addresses Macherla Kumpulan and Robinhood's failure: 'I want this film to be a hit for…'

Actor Nithiin is gearing up for an anticipated namesake movie, Thammudu. The title of the Sriram Venu directorial is the same as Pawan Kalyan's 1999-released action flick, which ended up becoming hugely successful. With high hopes already building up for Nithiin, he now addressed the previous box office failures associated with his name. Nithiin promises Thammudu to be a hit unlike his other tanked movies At the recent pre-release event for Thammudu, Nithiin took center stage, where he assured the audience and expressed confidence that the Sriram Venu directorial would become a hit, as it is set to release on July 4. Nithiin said, 'This film should be a hit for those who love me, this film should be a hit for those who admire me.. I want this film to be a hit for those who are happy if I get a hit. I want this film to be a hit for those who are sad if it flops. ' Nithiin apologizes for failure of his last few films Furthermore, the Telugu actor addressed the failures of his previous films, like Macherla Niyojakavargam, Extra Ordinary Man, and Robinhood. He highlighted that from now on, he would do good films that would impress the audience. Nithiin added, 'The films I have done recently have not impressed the audience.. I apologize to all of you for that. I promise to do good films from now on.. I hope that the film Thammudu will be a good success.' Thammudu bagged A certificate from CBFC Ahead of its release, Thammudu ended up bagging an 'A' rating from the CBFC after being screened. This indicates that the movie is not deemed suitable for viewers under 18 years of age, as it contains mature themes, language, and visuals that may be incomprehensible to them. Thammudu post-theatrical OTT rights Well, the film is backed by Dil Raju, who has struck a deal with Amazon Prime Video for the post-theatrical OTT rights of the movie. Thammudu will be released on the platform after a four-week theatrical run, only if the action thriller proves successful at the box office. If not, then it can be made to debut online sooner than before.

Sriram Venuopens up about ‘Thammudu' ahead of release

After the success of SankranthikiVasthunnam, Sri Venkateswara Creations returns with Thammudu, an emotional family drama starring Nithiin and directed by Sriram Venu. The film, produced by Dil Raju and Shirish, is set for a grand theatrical release on July 4. In a media interaction, director Sriram Venu described Thammudu as a story deeply rooted in family emotions with strong female characters played by Laya, Varsha Bollamma, Sapthami Gowda, Swasika Vijay, and Deetya. The film avoids a hero-centric formula and instead weaves a layered narrative. Despite suggestions from the censor board for minor cuts to receive a U/A certificate, the makers chose to retain the film's original emotional tone and will release it with an 'A' certificate. Sriram emphasized that the decision was a collective one prioritizing storytelling over certification. Highlighting the film's unique treatment, Sriram said the action scenes carry emotional significance and the archery theme was carefully researched. Nithiin even underwent 15 days of training to perfect his role. The film's visuals, handled by cinematographers Sethu, Sameer Reddy, and Guhan, promise a rich cinematic experience. With music by AjaneeshLoknath and a strong OTT deal with Netflix, Thammudu is shaping up to be a well-rounded theatrical and digital success.
