TTD to formulate new policy for mgmt of cottages
Tirumala: In the larger interests of the devotees, a new cottage policy is soon in offing to provide accommodation to the devotees who come to Tirumala, said TTD EO J Syamala Rao. He held a review meeting with the officials on Monday at his Chamber in the TTD Administrative Building along with the Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the EO asked for a new policy to be formulated for the management of cottages in Tirumala. He directed the concerned for a policy blueprint to be prepared so that donors can construct cottages that are convenient for the devotees. At the same time, he suggested preparing a comprehensive report on the privileges of donors, management of facilities provided to donors, management of rooms, beautification, greenery, parking, cottage design, Srivari photo and painting in the cottages, construction of rooms to instill a sense of devotion and many more. The EO suggested that rules should be formulated so that the donors construct the cottages and hand them over to the TTD within the stipulated time, so that the privileges allotted to the donors are not misused and that the selection of donors for the construction of cottages, procedures, responsibilities, etc. are transparent. Similarly, the EO suggested that the construction of cottages should be done on a stable and equitable basis, and the rules should be formulated so that the actions to be taken in case of violation of the rules during construction are clearly assessed in advance. Earlier, TTD Additional EO explained the procedural issues related to the construction of new cottages to the EO. Reception Department Deputy EO Bhaskar and other officials participated in the review meeting.

TTD to organise Srivari annual Brahmotsavams from Sept 24
Tirupati: TTD is gearing up for the grand conduct of the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala from Sep 24. The TTD administration held its maiden review meeting on Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams at Tirumala on Thursday. TTD additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary directed the heads of all Devasthanams departments to make comprehensive plans and complete all arrangements within a stipulated timeframe. The 9-day festival which begins with the Dwajarohanam fete on Sept 24 concludes with the Chakrasnanam rituals on Oct 2. Important processions as part of the 9-day festival include the highly venerated Garuda Seva on Sept 28, giant chariot festival on Oct 1 and Chakrasnanam on Oct 2. CM Chandrababu Naidu will present silk robes to Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple on behalf of the state govt on the first day of the Srivari Brahmotsavams on Sept 24. TTD additional executive officer said VIP break darshan will remain cancelled between Sept 24-Oct 2 in view of the annual festival.

More reforms in Srivari Seva voluntary system soon: TTD EO
Tirumala: With an aim to provide better services to the visiting pilgrims, there is need to enhance the quality of Srivari seva by imparting training to them and also inviting experts from various fields to participate in Srivari Seva, said TTD EO J Syamala Rao. The EO held a review and meeting with the officials on Friday at his chamber in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati. Speaking on the occasion, the EO said that many Srivari Sevaks are coming to Tirumala from different parts of the country, to offer services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims. He suggested that proper training be imparted to them in a planned manner and make best use of their services. He strongly felt that professionals from medical, education, engineering, IT, catering, cultural, veterinary fields are also invited and involved in Srivari Seva, by making necessary changes in the IT application. Study tour by a team of TTD officials to Puttaparthi, Isha Foundation, Art of Living following the instructions of the CM of AP S N Chandrababu Naidu to enhance the quality of Srivari Seva System was also carried out and Sri Satya Sai Seva Organization (SSSSO) has also come forward to design a Training Module for Srivari Training the Trainees programme with the Master Trainers will soon be launched selecting Group Leaders from all the 26 districts of AP initially and other states including Telengana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra in next phases, he maintained.
