Boy, 15, wounded in West Ridge shooting, police say
A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded Monday afternoon in the West Ridge neighborhood on the city's Far North Side, according to Chicago police. An unknown gunman shot the boy while he was inside a residence on the 6400 block of North Washtenaw Avenue around 3:10 p.m., police said. The boy was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in fair condition, police said. Police provided no further details on the shooting. The offender was arrested on scene, police said. Man in critical condition after attack in alley on Chicago's North Side
A man suffered serious injuries after an attack in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood on Thursday night. Chicago police said officers found a man with serious head trauma in an alleyway in the 5800 block of North Kenmore Avenue just after 10 p.m. Officers responded to a call of a person shot. When they arrived on the scene, officers found the man who had been hit in the head with a blunt object. He did not appear to have been shot. It is not clear what happened during the attack. Police said he was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition. No arrests have been made. Police are investigating.

Golfer injured, driver arrested when car crashes onto Billy Caldwell Golf Course on Chicago's Far Northwest Side
A 70-year-old golfer was injured when a driver crashed his car onto the Billy Caldwell Golf Course Monday evening in Chicago's Forest Glen neighborhood, police said. Cook County Forest Preserve Police who responded to the incident, said the car drove erratically onto the course around 5:30 p.m. The driver struck a golfer on the fifth whole. The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit Tuesday. The golf course is part of the Caldwell Woods forest preserve. Chicago police confirmed the incident and that Forest Preserve police were the responding officers. Video taken by other golfers on the course showed a large police presence both on the course itself and in the parking lot, with EMS response for the injured golfer. The driver was taken into custody and charges are pending, police said. Police did not give further details about what led to the car careening onto the course. The identity of the victim or further details about his condition have not yet been released.

3 injured after crashing vehicle into pole in Lincoln Square neighborhood
Three people were hurt after a crash early Monday morning on the city's North Side. It happened just before 3 a.m. in the 4700 block of North Western Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Chicago police said the 56-year-old man was driving a Buick LaCrosse heading southbound on Western when he lost control and hit a pole. The driver was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital with unknown injuries in serious condition. A woman who was a passenger in the car suffered injuries to the head and chest and was also taken to Illinois Masonic in critical condition. Another woman passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition. Their ages were not released. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no other injuries were reported, police said. The Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.

Man shot Saturday night in Hartford
HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are investigating after a gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital on Saturday night. The victim, a male in his twenties, arrived at St. Francis Hospital for treatment just after 9:30 p.m. Police say his injuries are non-life-threatening.
