This particular Staffordshire Bull Terrier, aka Staffy puppy, named Jolene, aka Jojo, was having a fun time with her new bright yellow chicken toy until it started to squeak. The puppy's reaction to it was as adorable as it gets. The pet parent posted the Instagram video on July 4 via the puppy's account @jojothestaffy. Since its upload, it has received over 399K views and around 36K likes. The video has captured the hearts of many on social media. In the caption, the parent of the adorable canine simply wrote, 'poor jojo.' The Instagram video began by focusing on the cute Staffy puppy with her new toy, which was a bright yellow and red chicken. The text written over the clip read, 'Jolene wants to play with her new toy so bad.' It continued, 'But she's so scared of the squeak.' The puppy was holding the toy in her mouth. Soon, the pet parent made the toy squeak by pressing it. As soon as Jojo heard the squeak from the toy, she threw it and ran away to hide under the bed. Afterwards, she returned from under the bed and took the toy with her. People have been expressing their thoughts on the video in the comment section. The canine would lie on his mama's legs, right below the belly, where he could seemingly sense the tiny one inside. In the final baby bump clip, Tommy even slightly poked the stomach with his face. Ipswich murder: Teenager charged after man fatally stabbed in Christmas tragedy
A teenager has been charged with the murder of a "larger than life character with a heart of gold" - more than six months after he was stabbed to death. Although William McNicholl, 63, was found dead on January 1, it is thought he was attacked on or around Christmas Day last year. A post-mortem examination found he died from a single stab wound and multiple head injuries. Jake McMillan was arrested on suspicion of murder in January but was bailed with conditions and, yesterday, the 18-year-old man was re-arrested on suspicion of murder and charged. The teenager, also charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis, will appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court today. Mr McNicholl, who was also known as Billy and Electric Bill, remembered him as a "cheeky geeza with a fun sense of humour". Speaking in January, his family, from Ipswich, said: "Love him or hate him, the man with many names who meant lots of different things to different people, was cool, clever and eccentric. His friends, five nieces and sister remember him as kind and generous, even when he didn't have much himself – he was a larger than life character with a heart of gold." McMillan, who used to live in Ipswich but since moved to Hackney, east London, is one of several people arrested in connection with the investigation in the previous six months. On April 1, a further three people were arrested as part of the probe. The 17-year-old boy, 18-year-old man and 41-year-old man were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender and being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs. They were taken to a police station in Ipswich for questioning and were subsequently bailed to return to police on October 1. A woman aged in her 50s, who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder before being released on bail, has been told she will face no further action, Suffolk Police told the media today. It is unclear whether Mr McNicholl knew McMillan or not. However, there were no signs of forced entry in the Ipswich home, officers say. Mr McNicholl, who loved his dogs, including his Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Leo, was using social media on December 25, and no later, the investigation has found. Mr McNicholl, who was also a "whizz at a Rubik's Cube", was a well known personality in Ipswich in the 1970s having moved to the area from London. He was involved in political protests, including one opposed to the introduction of the poll tax, and was heavily integrated in the punk music scene in Suffolk.

Hope Rescue, based in Llanharan, was devastated when the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who passed away just 24 hours after being placed in a foster home. Kiwi, a frail and elderly dog, arrived at Hope Rescue earlier this week, visibly distressed and in pain from arthritis. After a thorough veterinary check, the rescue team came to the decision to place a "distressed" Kiwi into one of their foster home; offering her a chance to rest away from the harsh environment of the kennel. Just one day after entering foster care, Kiwi passed away. They said she had been left at the pound deliberately, despite her clear need for medical care. Hope Rescue Head of Operations Sara Rosser issued a statement to the organisation's website. "Abandoning your poorly, elderly dog in the pound is not okay. Abandoning your dog knowing it was likely ill is even less okay," she said. Article continues below Sara said the incident has left staff and volunteers feeling "upset" and "heartbroken". She added: "We would ask the public that if you are struggling for any reason, that you reach out to your nearest rescue centre for advice. Abandoning your dog when they need you most is not the answer." Despite the devastating loss, the team at Hope Rescue expressed their gratitude to Kiwi's foster carer, who provided her with love and comfort in her final hours. "We're so grateful to our foster carer for giving her comfort and love at the end, ensuring that she didn't pass away in kennels.," Sara continued. Owner hurls his dog over a gate
A pet owner has been banned from keeping pets for five years after footage emerged that showed him throwing his elderly Staffordshire bull terrier over a gate. Kieran O'Connor, a 35-year-old self-employed gardener from Liverpool, left his pet Prince 'exposed to acute pain' after launching the dog from the pavement instead of opening the gate so it could walk in, CCTV shows. Prince can be seen in the footage falling on its side and stumbling up as O'Connor lets himself into the garden through the gate. Liverpool and Knowsley magistrates' court was told the RSPCA investigated the case after a member of the public forwarded the to the animal protection charity. O'Connor later admitted failing to meet Prince's need to be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease by the 'infliction of physical abuse and emotional distress' – in breach of the Animal Welfare Act 2006. At his sentencing on July 2, he was also given a community order and ordered to pay costs of £500, along with a victim surcharge of £114. 'Looks very confused' Caren Goodman, an RSPCA inspector, told the court she went to the defendant's then address in Kirkby, Merseyside, in October last year with a colleague and a Merseyside Police officer. O'Connor refused to attend the address and, after waiting 25 minutes, the officer gained entry to the property using a search warrant, and Prince was taken into RSPCA care. She said Prince was in an 'ideal body condition', was 'bright, alert and active' and showed 'no obvious signs of distress'. When she spoke to the defendant the following day, he claimed he was 'putting his dog over the fence' because his neighbours had accused Prince of attacking their dogs. A vet at RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital, who viewed the footage, said it began with Prince being walked on a lead towards the gate by O'Connor. Her report said that 'instead of opening the gate' he was seen 'picking up the dog and forcefully throwing it over the gate. 'The dog has fallen down on its side/back' and 'looks very confused on the video, it takes a few seconds for it to get up'. 'Would not sign Prince over' The vet signed a veterinary certificate supporting Prince's removal from the house and it was given pain relief at the surgery. Although a full examination revealed that Prince had not sustained any fractures, the vet said the dog had been put through unnecessary distress and suffering. After the hearing, Inspector Goodman said: 'The most surprising thing about this case is that Kieran did not seem to understand that what he did was wrong. 'This attitude meant that he would not sign Prince over to us – even when the prosecution had run its course. 'We had to obtain an order from the court to make sure we could take him into our care and get him into a safe and secure environment.'
