Alton house fire: Five 15-year-old boys released on bail
Five teenage boys arrested following the deaths of an elderly couple in a house fire have been released on Rickman, 91, and his wife Roma, 88, were found dead at their home in Heron Close, Alton, Hampshire, in the early hours of 14 police said on Tuesday that four 15-year-old boys from Alton were arrested on suspicion of murder. Four boys aged 15 are arrested on suspicion of murder after elderly couple, 91 and 88, found dead in house fire
Four 15-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder after an elderly couple were found dead following a house fire. Stan Rickman, 91, and Rona Rickman, 88, were found dead in their home after the blaze in their home in Alton, Hampshire, on April 14. The teenagers, all from Alton, were taken into custody today as police continue their investigation. A fifth 15-year-old, previously arrested in connection with the fire, also remains in custody. Hampshire Police confirmed that a 16-year-old boy also from Alton, and a 32-year-old man from Aldershot were arrested earlier on suspicion of murder, and are currently out on bail under strict conditions. Another 15-year-old, from Bordon, who had been arrested, has since been released with no further action. Officers continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: 'Today as part of our investigation we have arrested four 15-year-old boys from Alton on suspicion of murder. 'A fifth boy, also aged 15, from Alton who had been previously arrested and bailed has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder. All five remain in custody at this time. 'A 32-year-old man from Aldershot and a 16-year-old boy from Alton previously arrested on suspicion of murder remain on bail with conditions. 'A 15-year-old boy from Bordon previously arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without further action. 'As part of our ongoing investigation, we remain keen to hear from anyone who has information that could assist us. 'In particular, we want to hear from anyone who could have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area of Heron Close between midnight and 5am on April 14, or if you have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from these times.'

Family's tribute to 'kind and generous' grandparents killed in house fire
The family of a "kind and generous" elderly couple who died in a house fire have paid tribute to "much-loved grandparents". Stan Rickman, 91, and Roma Rickman, 88, of Heron Close in Alton, Hampshire, were found dead at their home early on 14 April. Hampshire Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy from Bordon as well as two other teenage boys from Alton on suspicion of murder. All three have been released on bail, pending further inquiries. In a statement shared by police, the couple's family said they "will be greatly missed". "Stan and Roma were much loved parents and grandparents who were kind and generous and would do anything for anyone," they said. "The family are extremely saddened that they were taken from us too early and that we were unable to share their last years with them. "They will be greatly missed, but their memory will live on through their family and many friends. "The family wish to thank the emergency services for their actions and support through this difficult time." A police spokesman separately appealed for any information that could assist their investigation.
