Post Malone falls off stage during concert in Arizona
Rapper and singer Post Malone suffered a fall on-stage during his concert. In a recently shared video on social media, Malone was performing during his State Farm Stadium concert in Glendale, Arizona. He fell when he tried to react to his fans, and a piece of the stage broke. "I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show ," the fan captioned the video, tagging the artist, reported People. After the post, Malone's fans expressed concerns; however, his tour continued despite this mishap. This is not the first time the singer fell on-stage. In September 2022, Malone fell through a trap door and appeared to hit his chest during his Twelve Carat Tour stop in St. Louis, Missouri. He carried on with the performance. After the incident, his manager posted on his Instagram handle that he suffered "bruised ribs". He updated his fans in a video on X after leaving the hospital, "Everything's good. They gave me some pain meds and everything." Later, Malone postponed his Boston show. He informed his fans that he felt "a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move". Malone also twisted his ankle in one of the holes on his stage during his Atlanta concert. "There's little holes in the middle of the stage where fire comes out of, which is pretty.. badass, but I just twisted up my ankle a little bit on that hole there," he said in one clip taken during the concert. "So if my dance moves aren't 100%, you've gotta forgive me tonight, ladies and gentlemen. I'mma do my best," according to People. Malone is currently wrapping up his tour with Jelly Roll.

The Weeknd made the apocalypse sexy at his 2025 tour launch in Arizona
It's kind of weird that The Weeknd is using the same name he used last time he played State Farm Stadium — in August 2022 — for the 2025 tour he launched in Glendale, Arizona, with a sold-out show Friday, May 9. This After Hours Til Dawn Tour was packed with new material — 11 songs in all — from 'Hurry Up Tomorrow,' a 2025 release that brings the trilogy, whose first two albums gave the tour its name, to a haunting conclusion. And that still left plenty of time to treat the fans to such career-defining classics as 'Starboy,' 'Die for You,' 'The Hills,' 'Can't Feel My Face' and 'Blinding Lights,' the most-streamed song in history. He wisely held that last one back until nearly the end of the night, although it could be argued that he should've played it last. The production was fantastic, as expected. This is a guy who reportedly sank $7 million of his own funds into making his Super Bowl halftime show one for the ages. The tour The Weeknd brought to State Farm Stadium in 2022 found him doubling down on the dizzying expectations raised by that halftime performance in terms of spectacle while reminding fans that he could just as easily have entertained the back rows on the strength of his magnetic presence and the power of his music. This show played to all those strengths while reusing several key ingredients that made that 2022 performance such an awe-inspiring visual experience. The concert began, as it did the last time he played Glendale, with a slow parade of 30 veiled and hooded dancers in flowing red garments and gold masks against a post-apocalyptic skyline of iconic buildings reduced to ruins, eventually joined by the Weeknd in a mask and hooded robe for 'The Abyss,' the first of many songs from 'Hurry Up Tomorrow.' The sexy robot by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama that towered high above the action on the cross-shaped runway that ran the length and width of the stadium, with a satellite stage at the end that was added for the European leg in 2023. There was no shortage of pyro, with massive flames shooting out of the runway for much of the concert. And through it all, the Weeknd navigated the elaborate production while making sure the music resonated with the raw emotion he invested in delivering the sad songs and the raw charisma he equally invested in delivering the sexy ones. He had a brilliant voice throughout, and his natural sense of showmanship was helped immensely by close-ups of his face that played out on the massive screen behind the stage, regardless of where he happened to be emoting. The Weeknd tour 2025 setlist: Songs on opening night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale He also had the sense to share the spotlight for two songs with Playboi Carti, his direct supporting act, who returned to join him on crowd-thrilling versions of "Timeless" and "Rather Lie." Was the music — often verging on euphoric — at odds with the dark, dystopian nature of the staging? On many songs, yes. And yet, it hardly seemed to matter. He even shared the mic with fans — who seemed beyond ecstatic — during "Out of Time." The man, born Abel Tesfaye, has hinted that this may be his last tour as The Weeknd. If that's true, he's definitely leaving his fans wanting more. Playboi Carti prowled the runway with assorted members of his crew in a fast-paced set that featured an impressive number of his most-streamed hits. After setting the tone with "Evil Jordan," he made his way through such obvious highlights as the Travis Scott collaboration "FE!N," "Sky," "Shoota," "Magnolia," "Timeless" and "Type Expletive." There were times when his vocals got lost in the bass-heavy mix and plenty of times where he just let the backing track do all the rapping. But he held that crowd's attention thanks to his larger-than-life personality and hits that had everyone shouting along. Best Prince songs of all time, ranked: 40 classics, from 'Purple Rain' to 'Kiss' Mike Dean got the party started, playing '425,' his latest album, in its entirety, behind a bank of seven synthesizers while wearing a dark hooded cloak. As he moved from one dramatic instrumental to another, building atmospheric synth loops over programmed beats, he removed the hood and started adding other instruments to mix, from saxophone to an overdriven, reverb-laden Fender Strat. It's a great-sounding record and it was cool to see him reconstruct it live without a net. The Weeknd After Hours Til Dawn: Setlist, openers and where he's playing next These are the songs that made the setlist when The Weeknd launched his tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona: 'The Abyss' 'Wake Me Up' 'After Hours' 'Opening Night' (live debut over the outro of 'After Hours') 'Starboy' 'Heartless' 'Faith' (over the outro of 'Heartless') 'Take My Breath' 'Sacrifice' 'How Do I Make You Love Me?' 'Can't Feel My Face' 'Lost in the Fire' 'Often' (with elements of 'Kiss Land') 'Given Up On Me' (live debut) 'I Was Never There' 'Given Up On Me' 'The Hills' 'Baptized in Fear' (live debut) 'Open Hearts' 'Cry For Me' 'I Can't (Expletive) Sing' 'Sao Paulo' 'Until We're Skin & Bones' 'Timeless' (with Playboi Carti) 'Rather Lie' (with Playboi Carti) 'Creepin'' 'Niagara Falls' (live debut) 'One of the Girls' 'Out of Time' 'I Feel It Coming' 'Die For You' 'Is There Someone Else?' 'Wicked Games' 'Call Out My Name' 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' (live debut) 'Save Your Tears' 'Less Than Zero' 'Blinding Lights' 'In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)' 'Moth to a Flame' Ed has covered pop music for The Republic since 2007, reviewing festivals and concerts, interviewing legends, covering the local scene and more.
