Report – Fiorentina Drop Interest In Inter Milan Midfielder, Set To Rival Nerazzurri For Parma Star

Report – Fiorentina Drop Interest In Inter Milan Midfielder, Set To Rival Nerazzurri For Parma Star Fiorentina are no longer interested in Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani and will challenge the Nerazzurri for Adrian Bernabe instead. Per Sky Sport via FCInterNews, Stefano Pioli's men have shifted their focus toward the Parma playmaker. Advertisement Kristjan Asllani has been on the fringes of the Inter squad since arriving from Empoli in 2022. Indeed, he has been playing second-fiddle to Hakan Calhanoglu these past few years. Therefore, many anticipated his exit heading into the summer. Meanwhile, Fiorentina must add to their midfield options after what happened to Edoardo Bove last term. Advertisement Asllani had long been La Viola's target. But the Albanian playmaker is no longer in their crosshairs. Instead, they will rival Inter for the signature of Bernabe. The Spaniard has emerged as a potential replacement for Calhanoglu, but Fiorentina could spoil Inter's plans.

Cristiano Ronaldo ends speculation by penning new Al Nassr deal

Cristiano Ronaldo ends speculation by penning new Al Nassr deal Cristiano Ronaldo has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with Al Nassr. Reports earlier this month claimed that the Portugal international could leave the Saudi Arabian side after he tweeted out an image of himself with the caption "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written". That post plus comments from FIFA chief Gianni Infantino that Ronaldo could play at the Club World Cup prompted a flurry of rumours. Advertisement But the former Ballon d'Or winner has now ended that speculation by penning a new deal with the Riyadh outfit to 2027. Al-Nassr recently fired coach Stefano Pioli with Jorge Jesus being linked as his replacement. Cristiano Ronaldo extends stay in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new two-year deal at Al-Nassr, ending the saga surrounding his future. The deal ties Ronaldo, whose contract was due to expire at the end of June, to the Saudi Pro League team beyond his 42nd birthday. Advertisement Ronaldo wrote on X: "A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let's make history together." A club post announcing the deal said: "Al-Nassr Club Company officially signed a contract extension with Cristiano Ronaldo. "Al-Nassr captain contract will be valid until 2027." Ronaldo had posted on social media "the chapter is over" following Al-Nassr's final league game of the season last month. The post fuelled speculation that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was to leave the Riyadh club. Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in December 2022 as a free agent after leaving Manchester United following a controversial interview in which he criticised the Premier League club. He has scored 99 goals in 111 appearances for Al-Nassr and netted 35 last season to win the SPL's golden boot award for top scorer. Advertisement Ronaldo has scored 938 goals for club and country in his career, needing 62 to reach the four-figure mark. Al-Nassr are currently without a manager after parting company with Stefano Pioli on Wednesday. Former AC Milan and Inter boss Pioli, who was appointed in September, led Al-Nassr to a third-placed finish in the SPL last season, 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
