Brownsburg, Indiana, native and Gold Glove catcher Tucker Barnhart has retired from baseball, his agent Steve Rath of the Ballengee Group said. FanSided had the original report.
The 34-year-old played his first eight seasons with the Cincinnati Reds (2014-21), earning Gold Gloves in 2017 and '20. He hit .241 with 53 home runs and 292 runs batted in with the Reds.
He played one year each with the Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks. He appeared in eight games for the Texas Rangers this year.
