Liverpool 2025-26 kit: New home, away, third & goalkeeper jerseys, release dates, shirt leaks & prices

Liverpool will be partnering with Adidas again, starting from the 2025-26 season. The club's current contract with Nike is coming to an end soon, paving the way for the return of the 'Three Stripes' to Anfield after 13 years. The new deal is projected to bring in over £60 million annually and is set to officially begin on August 1, 2025. This will be Adidas' third time as Liverpool's official kit partner. Their previous collaborations were from 1985 to 1996 and then again from 2006 to 2012, before the partnerships with Warrior, New Balance and Nike. The Adidas kits from Liverpool's earlier Premier League period were famously worn by club legends such as Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Fernando Torres, and Luis Suarez, among others. During that time, the club secured one trophy, the 2012 League Cup. Along with a different crest on every Liverpool shirt for 2025-26, Adidas could revive some of their older kit designs from when they took over from (Adidas-owned) Reebok as the club's official partner. Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about the new Liverpool kits, including where to buy, prices, leaks, rumours and more. READ MORE All the outstanding 2024-25 football kits Liverpool 2024-25 home, away, third & goalkeeper kits Liverpool 2025-26 home kit, release date & price As leaked by Footy Headlines, the 2025-26 home shirt is said to be a strawberry red, featuring the classic adidas stripes on the shoulders, reminiscent of the shirts worn by legends like Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher back in 2006-07. The main differences will be the absence of a collar and the inclusion of a debossed graphic. It is suggested that the Liverpool crest, adidas logo, and sponsor will all be in white, complemented by white trim and piping on the sleeves and torso, respectively. Another interesting detail is that the Premier League logo on all Liverpool shirts is expected to be gold on account of their 2024-25 title win. While the 2006-07 shirt famously featured Carlsberg, the upcoming season's strip will once again be sponsored by Standard Chartered. The club's current agreement with the bank is set to continue until the conclusion of the 2026-27 season. The Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 home football shirt will be available on the shelves from August 1, 2025, or after the current Nike deal expires. Like last season, Liverpool kits will be priced around £80 ($105) for adults, with a match version available for £125 ($165). Liverpool 2025-26 away kit, release date & price For the away kit, Adidas is aiming to make a strong first impression. The rumoured design is a reverse of the home kit, with a predominantly off-white shade called 'Wonder White', complemented by black and some red accents. The trend of a modified crest will continue, with the sketch potentially echoing the 2010-11 away shirt, with the exception of the pine stripes. The Liverpool logo on the away shirt might appear within a shield. The strip is likely to be completed with black shorts and white socks, and the launch is expected to take place in August 2025. Liverpool 2025-26 third kit, release date & price The possible third kit has certainly generated some buzz. It is said to be a striking sea green, featuring white, black and mint green stripes on the collar and sleeves. Drawing inspiration from the 1980s with striped trim, this design could be a modern take on the classic green Liverpool x Carlsberg shirts, although this version should feature Standard Chartered on the front. Furthermore, besides an adidas Originals trefoil logo, the third kit is set to showcase the current Liverbird inside the old crest. Hence, the vintage Liverpool crest will make for a present-day interpretation of the one used on kits from 1987-1992, a period when Adidas was previously the kit partner. The Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 third jersey is likely to be available from August 2025. Liverpool 2025-26 goalkeeper kit release date & price The primary Adidas Liverpool 2025-26 goalkeeper kit will feature a combination of two shades of light green with black logos. Additionally, there's consideration for Liverpool's goalkeepers to have a pink kit option. Both of these kits are expected to incorporate a soundwave design, which is a standard feature of the Adidas Competition 25 GK kit. The third goalkeeper kit is slated to showcase black/gloss stripes complemented by white logos, collar, and stripes. Adidas has chosen to use the Trefoil logo for this third kit, aligning with the 25-26 third jersey design. These Adidas Liverpool 2025-2026 goalkeeper shirts are anticipated to be available in stores starting in late summer 2025.

Where are Liverpool's 2005 Champions League final heroes now?

It has now been over 20 years since Liverpool pulled off what might be the greatest comeback in the history of major sports finals, defeating AC Milan after being 3-0 down at half-time. Steven Gerrard's goal had begun an incredible storm for the Reds, with the momentum will and truly shifting as the Reds scored three goals in seven minutes to bring the game level. The two teams went to penalties, before Jerzy Dudek made two remarkable saves to pull off the win. The Reds had been huge underdogs coming in to the game, with many considering the roster to be one of Liverpool's worst from the last two decades. AC Milan's midfield alone had consisted of Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf and Kaka, with Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta in defense. Liverpool 'considering shock move for Toulouse defender' Liverpool leaned on Gerrard, who put together a dominant performance while playing in multiple positions at a high level, leading the team to its first UCL trophy in 21 years. has taken a look back at the team that Rafael Benitez deployed in the game, and what the 14 players are doing now - 20 years on. Jerzy Dudek (GK) The man some will argue is Liverpool's true hero from the game, Jerzy Dudek's performance was nothing short of sensational - making heroic saves in extra-time - including a point-blank reaction stop to deny Andriy Shevchenko. Dudek went on to save two penalties to see the Reds lift the trophy. He spent six years with the Reds, losing his spot to Pepe Reina in his final two before joining Real Madrid as a back-up to Iker Casillas. After retiring from football in 2011, Dudek went on to compete in several motor racing events, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He now lives in Krakow, Poland. Steve Finnan (RB) Finnan joined the Reds from Fulham in 2003, making the right-back position his own after beating out Markus Babbel while becoming a reliable player for Benitez. He was the man to be sacrificed at half-time, with the Reds moving to three at the back and going for it while being 3-0 down. Finnan spent five years at Anfield before leaving for Espanyol in a confusing move, before coming back to the Premier League with Portsmouth before retiring in 2010. Finnan moved to London after finishing his career, and is now involved in property development. Jamie Carragher (CB) A Liverpool legend, Carragher's performance in the final is somewhat overlooked due to their first-half struggles and Gerrard's masterclass. The centre-back adjusted and put in an incredible showing against both Hernan Crespo and Shevchenko from half-time onwards. Since retiring, Carragher has found huge success as an analyst and commentator, working with Sky Sports in the UK and CBS in the United States. Sami Hyypia (CB) A Liverpool legend, Hyypia spent 10 years with the Reds while being a dominant aerial presence and building a strong partnership alongside Carragher. Hyypia left the Reds in 2009 to join Bayer Leverkusen, who he eventually coached for two years before spells with Brighton & Hove Albion and Zurich. He now lives in Pulheim, Germany, while being back with the Reds as a club ambassador. Djimi Traore (LB) A cult hero, Traore's inclusion in the starting line-up was the biggest surprise that Benitez had made - looking to use his athleticism down the left flank. He was with Liverpool for seven years before joining Charlton Athletic, with spells in both France and a stint in the US with the Seattle Sounders. He spent six years in Seattle with the Sounders as an assistant coach, before moving back to Africa to coach the 'Right to Dream Academy' in Ghana. Xabi Alonso (DM) This had been Alonso's first season with the Reds, stepping in and immediately being one of their best players despite his young age. He stepped up to score the third goal of the game, following up a missed penalty to bring the scoreline level. He spent five years with the Reds before joining Real Madrid, seeing out his career at Bayern Munich. Alonso is now head coach at Real Madrid, having had an incredible 2023/24 season with Bayer Leverkusen - going undefeated and beating Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title. It was widely reported that Alonso turned Liverpool down, having the opportunity to take over from Jurgen Klopp, instead staying in Germany and waiting for the Madrid job. Luis Garcia (RM) Another cult hero at Anfield, Garcia is perhaps best remembered for the 'ghost goal' that he scored against Chelsea to send Liverpool to the 2005 final... We can all be honest and admit that this probably didn't go in. Garcia remained with the Reds for three seasons before signing for Atletico Madrid. He saw out his career playing in Greece, Mexico, India and then Australia. Garcia is currently working as a TV pundit for beIN Sports. Steven Gerrard (CM) Quite simply one of the best central midfielders in the history of soccer, Gerrard's performance against AC Milan was one of his best. He played in multiple positions, starting in central midfield before moving to the number 10 role, and seeing out the final moments at right-back. He also scored the first goal of the second-half to begin the comeback. He spent 17 years with the Reds, going down as arguably the club's greatest player ever before retiring after a year with the LA Galaxy. He moved into management after retiring, winning the league and going undefeated with Rangers. He then moved to Aston Villa, starting strongly but then struggling in his second season in the Premier League, being fired and moving to Saudi Arabia with Al Ettifaq. He left Saudi after spending two years with the club, now currently living back in the Merseyside area while waiting for another coaching opportunity. John Arne Riise (LM) The man with the strongest left foot in soccer, Riise is one of Liverpool's best ever left-backs while being with the club for seven years - scoring some incredible goals. He played at left wing in the game, with Benitez looking to neutrualize Milan's incredible midfield - a move that didn't work so well in the first-half. Riise spent three years each with Roma and Fulham after leaving Anfield, before retiring in 2017. He has been in the backroom staff at multiple clubs in Norway, while even having a stint as a manager in the countries third division. Harry Kewell (CAM) A player who Benitez believed had the most talent in the team, Kewell's time with Liverpool was hampered by injuries - playing in 139 games in five years with the club. He played just behind the striker in an unfamiliar role, with the Spaniard wanting the Reds to play through the middle with Gerrard, Alonso and Kewell. The Australian picked up an injury in the 23rd minute, and was replaced by Vladimir Smicer. Kewell went on to play for Galatasaray before returning to Australia for the final two years of his career. He later moved into management, with multiple teams in England and moving to Japan to coach Yokohama F. Marinos. Milan Baros (ST) The Czech Republic star was preferred in the number nine role to Djibril Cisse, but struggled to make much of an impact in the game before being replaced in the second-half. Baros scored 19 Premier League goals with the Reds in four years before leaving for Aston Villa. He would play for 15 years after leaving Anfield, spending most of the time back in Czech Republic - retiring in 2020, scoring 177 goals. Substitutes Didi Hamann (DM) Hamann being left out of the starting eleven had been a surprise, with Kewell being selected over him in an attacking move that did not work out as intended. The German was with Liverpool for seven years, also spending time with Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Newcastle, while having 59 caps for Germany. He has been a broadcaster since retiring, regularly working with Sky Sports Germany and RTE Sport. Vladimir Smicer (CAM) Smicer spent six years with Liverpool with the Champions League final being the last game with the Reds - scoring the second goal of the game. He won five trophies with the Reds. The Czech Republican moved to Bordeaux before spending the final years of his career back in his home country with Slavia Prague. He is now involved in politics, running for Parliamentary election back in 2014. Djibril Cisse (ST) An electric striker who had been raw during his time with Liverpool, Cisse showed promise at Anfield but not enough to earn the trust of Benitez to be a regular starter. He was instead used as a spark-plug option off the bench, a role he impressed in. He scored a penalty in the shootout. Cisse spent three years with the Reds before leaving in 2007, having spells back in England with Sunderland and QPR while playing in France, Italy and Greece. He retired in 2021, now being a youth coach at Marseille.

Liverpool Legends Face Chelsea Legends in Charity Clash at Anfield

Liverpool Legends vs Chelsea Legends: Rivalry Reignited at Anfield Football's Past Meets Present Purpose There are fixtures that live long in the memory, and then there are the ones that rewrite what memory means. When Liverpool Legends host Chelsea Legends at Anfield this weekend, it will not merely be a stroll down memory lane—it will be a celebration of legacy, a rekindling of rivalry, and a statement of enduring purpose. Advertisement Presented by Liverpool's official training partner AXA, the annual charity fixture raises crucial funds for the LFC Foundation. Across the touchline, Chelsea's involvement carries the same spirit, with proceeds supporting both the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Players' Trust—an organisation dedicated to the welfare of the names that built Stamford Bridge's modern identity. This year's meeting marks two decades since the 2004/05 season—the genesis of a new kind of animosity between Liverpool and Chelsea. Five encounters across league and Europe, most famously the Champions League semi-final that bore the still-disputed 'ghost goal' from Luis Garcia, helped define a generation. Familiar Faces, Fierce Pride Sir Kenny Dalglish will marshal the Liverpool Legends, with Roberto Di Matteo leading the Chelsea counterparts. These are not ceremonial roles—they are tributes to eras where both men forged reputations as figureheads of their clubs. Advertisement Confirmed in the Liverpool Legends ranks are Steven Gerrard, Sami Hyypia, Ryan Babel, Martin Skrtel and Jerzy Dudek. On the Chelsea Legends side, Gianfranco Zola, Claude Makelele, Eidur Gudjohnsen, John Mikel Obi, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Carlo Cudicini will suit up once more. Photo: IMAGO And this year, history will be made with Natasha Dowie and Katie Chapman becoming the first women to feature in this celebrated exhibition—proof that legacy is not a closed chapter, but a living story. How to Watch and When Kick-off is set for 3pm GMT on Saturday, 22 March 2025 at Anfield. While the game won't be shown on UK television, fans can watch live via LFCTV for subscribers, or through Chelsea's official website and app, with a match pass available for £5.99.

Hugo Ekitike was spotted training in retro Steven Gerrard shirt a MONTH before £80m Liverpool move

Hugo Ekitike had demonstrated his desire to play for Liverpool ahead of his imminent move, with photos emerging of the forward having trained in a retro kit baring the name of their club's legendary captain Steven Gerrard. Ekitike is poised to undergo a medical ahead of completing move from Eintracht Frankfurt. Liverpool have struck a deal worth an initial £69m plus £10m in add-ons, which are based on team and player performance. Mail Sport reported in March that Ekitike was a top target for the Reds, with the French forward only wanting to join the club. This came despite long-standing interest from Newcastle, who had opened talks with Frankfurt before Liverpool swooped. Fans have been quick to highlight Ekitike's desire to play for the Reds, citing him wearing a Gerrard kit while training this summer. Photos showed Ekitike training at the Marbella Football Centre, understood to be last month, with the forward seen wearing a retro away kit from Liverpool 1997/98 season. The kit featured Gerrard's initial Liverpool shirt number of 28, before he switched to 17 and eventually the No8 he would wear for the remaining of his career at Anfield. 'I love him even more already Ekitikeeee,' one fan wrote in response. Another posted 'He KNOWS exactly what he is doing and we love it, with a third writing 'It has always been Liverpool'. One fan speculated that the photo could even hold a clue to Ekitike's likely shirt number at Liverpool. 'I won't be surprise if he wear the No 28,' one fan suggested, with the number currently unassigned in the Liverpool squad. Ekitike currently wears the No11 at Frankfurt, but the squad number is held at Liverpool by Mohamed Salah. Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Ekitike after agreeing an £80m deal with Frankfurt The Premier League champions are hopeful Ekitike will be able to join their pre-season tour Ekitike has become the side's fifth major addition this summer following the signings of Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Giorgi Mamardashvili. His acquisition has taken their summer spend to £289m, with reports indicating that the side are not yet finished with their spree. Last week, Newcastle had an offer of £70m rejected for Ekitike, which fell £16m short of his release clause. Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak but that move remains in question, especially after the major outplay for the France Under 21 international. Last season Ekitike scored 22 goals in 48 games for Frankfurt in all competitions, with 15 of those strikes coming in the Bundesliga. He was also named in the Bundesliga team of the season following a hugely impressive campaign. Ekitike was previously at Paris Saint-Germain, initially on loan from Reims before joining permanently. However, he only made 33 appearances for PSG in total and scored four goals. Liverpool have already been heavily active in the transfer market this summer, with several familiar faces leaving Anfield in a summer of churn. Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid, while Jarell Quansah signed for Bayer Leverkusen and Caoimhin Kelleher made the switch to Brentford.

Ex-Rangers star who Steven Gerrard eviscerated for jumping ship for 'bigger wage' is having medical at Wrexham

A former Rangers attacker who received an ear bashing from Steven Gerrard following his hasty departure from Ibrox is expected to sign for Wrexham as a free agent Wrexham are on the brink of signing a former Rangers player who was previously criticised by Steven Gerrard in a candid Zoom call. ‌ Josh Windass is widely expected to undergo a medical on Monday before joining the Welsh club as a free agent. It follows the 31-year-old, son of Hull City legend Dean Windass, leaving Sheffield Wednesday by mutual consent amid ongoing issues with the club's failure to pay players' wages promptly. ‌ Windass was one of Wednesday's standout performers in the English Championship last season, netting 13 goals and providing five assists. Rangers were among the clubs said to have courted him over a potential return to Ibrox this summer. ‌ However, Wrexham, owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are believed to have won the race for his signature ahead of their first season in the English second tier in 43 years, according to the BBC. Windass had a two-year stint at Rangers after initially joining in the summer of 2016, scoring 19 goals in 73 appearances. He departed to join Wigan Athletic on transfer deadline day in August 2018 in a deal worth approximately £2.5m. In an interview on the Open Goal podcast in May, Windass disclosed how he hastily headed south after hearing about Wigan's interest from then-Rangers manager Gerrard. He admitted regretting the decision and later received a stern reprimand from the Liverpool icon over the manner of his exit. "It was a bad decision but I just went straight down the motorway," Windass said. "I don't know [why]. I just followed my gut at that moment in time and then a week later [I regretted it]. "We had a Zoom call about six months later because I was going to go back on loan in January and Paul Cook wouldn't let me go. Then Gerrard basically gave me what for on the Zoom call. ‌ "He told me everything that was wrong with me and what I did and how I can improve as a person. He said, 'If we're going to bring you back we need to have an honest conversation,' and I never went back anyway. That was it. It was a bad couple of weeks." Revealing how rapidly he recognised his blunder, he added: "[I knew I'd made the wrong decision] after my first training session. Mick Beale was texting me saying, 'You're making a big mistake.' I was 23. I was stupid. I just wanted a bigger wage." Windass remained at Wigan for two seasons before switching to Wednesday in 2020 and became instrumental as the Owls secured promotion from League One in 2023. His anticipated switch to Wrexham has materialised despite reported interest from Championship rivals Coventry, Derby and Norwich. Wrexham have been active in the transfer window this summer after registering three consecutive promotions. Plymouth forward Ryan Hardie became their first signing, with Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward following suit. The Red Dragons recently splashed out a record-breaking sum to secure left-back Liberato Cacace from Empoli. They have also reportedly had a £1.2m offer accepted for Bolton captain George Thomason, as per the Bolton News.
