Bridlington lifeboat to hold open day

RNLI mascot Stormy Stan to make appearance at York city centre fundraiser
The RNLI is encouraging people to "answer the Mayday call" and take part in a two-day fundraising event in York city centre. The charity is inviting people to join them on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17 for the fundraiser, proceeds from which will go towards training, equipment, and support for RNLI crews. Attendees at the fundraiser will be treated to a special guest appearance by Stormy Stan, the RNLI's mascot, who will be on hand for photo opportunities and to share safety messages with younger visitors. Advice about how to stay safe at the coast and in the water will also be issued by RNLI water safety volunteers. Alan Marsden, RNLI water safety advisor, said: "We are excited to bring the RNLI to the heart of York and would love people to come along, meet the team, and show their support."
