Storrington residents to discuss traffic and 20mph speed limit
Traffic issues in a West Sussex town will be discussed at an open meeting including potentially implementing a 20mph speed "driving like lunatics" and large lorries passing narrow footpaths are among the problems facing the area, Storrington residents are reporting Petitions will now be heard for and against applying the 20mph limit, with both sides agreeing that something has to be for the lower limit say it is "the only practical solution that is affordable" but opponents say the limit would affect the entire town. The public meeting will be held at Chanctonbury Leisure Centre from 19:00 BST on Friday.

Storrington woman, 77, attacked after man forces way into home
A 77-year-old woman was attacked in her home by an "unknown suspect" who forced his way inside the property, said woman was left with facial injuries after the attack by a man wearing a balaclava at about 21:45 GMT on 16 May in Storrington, said Sussex was "unknown what his intention was", said the force.A 39-year-old man, from Storrington, was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. He was released on conditional bail until 19 July. Police said enquiries were continuing and urged anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident or with relevant video footage to get in touch.
