Shedeur Sanders Caught Speeding, Again

Read the full story on Backfire News Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been caught speeding yet again, this time going 101 mph. Bodycam footage from a Strongsville Police Department officer who pulled the NFL player over shows he was driving his Ram TRX at the posted speed limit on the stretch of road where Sanders was stopped is reportedly 60 mph, so he was traveling 41 mph over that when he was pulled over early on the morning of June 17. A woman named Jasmine Hammond in a Genesis SUV was also pulled over and clocked doing 92 mph in tandem with Sanders. She allegedly is his girlfriend. We guess the couple that speeds together pays their fines together. Actually, the officer who pulled Sanders over offered him a break, saying he could drop the citation for Hammond, but not for Shedeur. According to TMZ, Sanders was fined $250 for speeding, but he can fight it in court on July 3. We're guessing the embarrassment of showing up at court, with the paparazzi taking photos at the courthouse, probably warrants simply paying the fee. But this isn't the first time Shedeur has been cited for speeding in Ohio. Earlier in June he was pulled over by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers for allegedly going 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. It seems the man has quite the led foot, something which will keep getting him into trouble if he doesn't learn. We have to say, at least Sander didn't lead police on a high-speed chase when he was caught speeding. He instead slowed down and safely pulled over to the shoulder. He didn't pull an attitude or chew out the cops. But police almost immediately recognized him but still didn't let him off the hook. See the full traffic stop footage for yourself here. Shedeur Sanders Traffic Stop Video Shows Cop Saying 'He Doesn't Know Who You Are'

Shedeur Sanders is a household name in the football world, but at least one cop in Ohio couldn't recognize him earlier this month ... as new police video, obtained by TMZ Sports, shows an officer initially had no idea he was performing a traffic stop on Deion's son. Check out the footage -- after cops pulled over Sanders in Medina County, Ohio, for allegedly going 91 MPH in a 65 zone ... the NFL quarterback handed over an out-of-state ID that perplexed one of the troopers who was interrogating him. Getty "What's with the Mississippi ID?" the cop asked. Advertisement As Sanders tried to explain he used to play college football in Jackson ... the other officer helping conduct the stop butted in. "He doesn't know who you are." Getty Seems after re-reading the ID, the cop was able to put the puzzle together ... as he uttered, "Oh. Sanders. Gotcha." Despite apparently realizing Sanders' fame ... the cop still wrote the Cleveland Browns rookie a citation for speeding. Records show the signal-caller then failed to appear at a court hearing for the matter on June 16. A day later -- on June 17 -- Sanders was busted for speeding in Ohio once again. According to Strongsville Police Dept. records we obtained, cops pulled the 23-year-old over for allegedly going 101 in a 60. Shedeur Sanders Busted for Speeding, Allegedly Drove 101 MPH on Highway Police video from that stop shows the responding officers did recognize him as a former college football star ... but he was nonetheless issued another citation and given a July 3 court date. Advertisement A Browns spokesperson told this week Sanders "is taking care of the tickets." For Sanders' part, he appears to be unbothered by the incidents ... as he laughed them off when they were brought up during a charity softball event on Thursday.

Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders ticketed for speeding twice in June

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been ticketed for speeding twice this month in Ohio. Sanders was accused of driving a Dodge TRX pickup truck 101 mph (163 kilometers per hour) on a suburban Cleveland interstate earlier this week. The Strongsville Police Department stopped Sanders at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in a 60 mph (97 kilometers per hour) zone on Interstate 71 near the Ohio Turnpike, according to a report provided to local media. Sanders, 23, could pay a $250 fine to waive the fourth-degree misdemeanor case, according to police. But it wasn't the first time he'd been pulled over for allegedly speeding since joining the Browns. That ticket came after he was stopped by the Ohio State Patrol on June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio. Sanders was pulled over for going 91 mph (147 kilometers per hour) in a 65 mph (105 kilometer) zone, Ohio State Patrol told WKBN-TV. According to Medina Municipal Court records, Sanders failed to appear for an arraignment for that ticket on Monday and owes $269 in court costs. Browns spokesman Peter John- Baptiste told Thursday that: 'he is taking care of the tickets.' Sanders, the son of Hall of Fame player Deion Sanders, was drafted in the fifth round (144th overall) of the NFL draft this spring, even though many projections had him going in the first round. He played under his father at the University of Colorado. Sanders is competing against three other quarterbacks with the Browns. They wrapped up minicamp last week and will open training camp in late July. ___ AP NFL:
