What to do on Canada Day in and around Calgary: Live bands, fireworks, a rodeo and much more

Article content Canada Day 2025 will be packed with events from early in the morning until almost midnight when the fireworks fly. Article content Below is a list of what's happening for Calgarians of all ages and interests. From music to cultural performances to kids crafts and facepainting, there is plenty to celebrate the country's 158th anniversary of confederation. Article content Article content Article content Article content There will be free admission to the National Music Centre's Studio Bell and rooftop performances at the King Eddy from 11:30 to 7 p.m. Article content Afro-fusion band Melafrique and R&B singer-songwriter Kate Stevens will perform at Studio Bell on Canada Day. Also, visitors are encouraged to take in pop-up performances of rare instruments, including the Kimball Theatre Organ, which provided music for silent movies. Article content The exhibits will be available to explore from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 1. Article content Article content Fireworks will be popping off from the Stampede grounds starting at 11 p.m. on Canada Day. There will be no access to the Stampede grounds, but prime viewing spots include The Confluence and Scotsman's Hill. Article content You can find parking at Rocky View Schools, W.H. Croxford High School and Chinook Winds Regional Park. Great places to watch include Windsong School, Coopers Crossing School, Living Springs Church and Daybreak Church.

The event will spotlight the creativity, expression and heritage of Black music and culture. Neo-soul collective The Rondel Roberts Band will headline. Article content Article content Inglewood Night Market Article content The Inglewood Night Market features over 140 rotating local vendors selling homemade crafts, vintage clothing, artisan eats and more. There will also be live music and alcoholic beverages. Kids and pets are welcome.
