Lucknow: Actor Sujata Singh, who has appeared in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Gulabo Sitabo and web series Mirzapur 2, has been waiting for an electricity connection for the past four years. She was among several complainants who visited the Nagrik Suvidha Diwas (Civic Grievance Day) at the Smart City office in Lalbagh on Tuesday. Sujata, who has acted in over 25 films and web series, runs a sieve shop with her husband in Yahiyaganj. Despite repeated applications, they haven't received a power connection in the past four years. "An artist is being harassed. This is not just my story; it reflects the struggle of many citizens," she said. The remaining were forwarded to relevant departments for timely redressal. Department-wise complaint distribution included LDA (22), LMC (24), electricity (5), and police (2). A resident reported encroachment on pond land in Ward Kesari Kheda, prompting the DC to order immediate eviction and an FIR against the land mafia.
