Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued a warning to motorists using Sultan Said bin Taimur Road, urging them to exercise caution due to challenging driving conditions. The ROP stated that low visibility and sand accumulation have been reported on certain sections of the road, specifically from Al Barakat Bridge to the Al Zahia area in Adam. This is attributed to active winds in the region. In a public statement, the ROP advised: "For users of Sultan Said bin Taimur Road, low visibility and sand accumulation on some sections of the road from Al Barakat Bridge to Al Zahia area in Adam due to active winds. Please be careful." Drivers are advised to adjust their speed, maintain a safe distance, and be aware of potential hazards on these affected stretches of road.
