Sunaina Roshan Explains The Importance Of Movement For Healthy Living

Physical activity is essential for preserving cardiovascular health and extending longevity. Engaging in regular physical activity, such as strength and aerobic training, has major advantages for heart health and general well-being. Film producer and influencer Sunaina Roshan echoed this view in her latest Instagram post, stating that movement is essential for long-term cardiovascular health. She also stressed that workout enthusiasm and efficacy can be boosted by personal choices for gym gear and clothing, such as colourful mats and sneakers. In her Instagram post, Sunaina said that she likes to use mats and resistance bands for strength training and stretching. 'Movement fuels the mind and strengthens the soul. From resistance bands to bright sneakers, these are the little things that keep me going,' Sunaina captioned her post. Talking about physical movement, Sunaina explained that physical activity prolongs longevity and improves cardiovascular fitness. Bright colours can elevate your mood, while dark colours stand for strength and endurance, according to Sunaina. 'In the gym, I basically wear any colour. If I'm probably feeling dull, I'll wear a bright color sneaker,' Sunaina said. 'If I'm feeling all like charged up, I'll wear a black because that shows strength,' she added. She prefers different shoes for better grip when doing cardio as opposed to weightlifting, and recently purchased vibrant trainers to boost motivation. Her favourite is gym ma. It is important for post-workout stretches and cooldowns, and aids in strength training, particularly for the glutes. A resistance band is Sunaina's other go-to tool on days when lifting weights does not seem as attractive. Sunaina Roshan has gained notoriety for being candid about her health issues and sharing her inspirational tale of overcoming them. She previously stated that attaining fitness requires both mental and physical strength, emphasising that inner strength is just as important as external effort. She added that fitness is often linked with heavy lifting and intense training, but the real world is full of challenges and perseverance that are not often visible. It involves adopting an optimistic mindset, maintaining self-control, and embracing the hidden paths to progress. Disclaimer: This content including advice provides generic information only. Additionally, if she has the option, she always prefers eating food prepared at home. However, occasionally, when she has social commitments, she treats herself while being mindful. Sunaina Roshan Says Fitness Isn't Just About Physical Strength, It's A Mental Game

True fitness isn't just about the body; it's about cultivating a strong mindset built on motivation, discipline, and perseverance. Echoing this very sentiment, producer and vlogger Sunaina Roshan shared in her latest Instagram post that fitness is as much a mental game as it is a physical one, stressing that achieving goals takes inner strength just as much as outer effort. It's patience, it's progress you don't always see right away," Sunaina says in the video, where she can be seen working out in a gym set-up. According to Sunaina, a solid mental viewpoint is necessary for success. Discipline is essential; it is about deciding to show up despite setbacks, fatigue, and quitting temptations. Progress takes time, so results might not be seen immediately. Every little accomplishment is a positive step. Progress, no matter the size, should be valued even if it happens slowly. Hrithik's sister Sunaina Roshan shares her nighttime routine for better sleep: 'Magnesium products are a lifesaver'

Sunaina Roshan, Hrithik Roshan's sister, has been open about her health journey on Instagram and in interviews. In a video she posted on Instagram on June 3, she emphasised the importance of getting enough sleep for both physical and mental health. She said she practices meditation and drinks chamomile tea to calm her mind and body before bed. Sunaina also shared how she has now incorporated magnesium into her sleep routine. Also read | Does magnesium help you sleep better? Doctor takes supplements and reveals truth Sunaina Roshan said, 'Everybody does know what my nighttime routine looks like – chamomile tea, journaling and meditation. But of late, I have discovered two more things that are really, really good for me. They work really well for me. Let me show them to you.' She added, 'One is a magnesium lotion, which I apply all over my hands and legs. This helps the muscles recover faster... the other one is a magnesium sleep spray. I put it on my pillow. It makes me sleep better. These two products have basically changed my quality of sleep, and I swear by these. Sleep is very crucial.' In her caption, Sunaina wrote: 'It's just amazing how much better I feel when I prioritise rest. And my magnesium products have been such a lifesaver. They help me settle down and make sleep easier and deeper.' A post shared by Sunaina Roshan (@roshansunaina) In a January 24, 2025 interview with HT City, Dr Sandeep Nayar, principal director and HOD of chest and respiratory diseases at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital spoke about magnesium, 'an important mineral that helps control melatonin, a hormone that keeps your sleep schedule on track'. He said, 'Magnesium is an unsung hero. It's an important microelement required by the body, yet it's often overlooked. A magnesium deficiency can lead to several issues, including insomnia or difficulty sleeping. Without adequate magnesium, your brain can't properly regulate sleep, which may lead to tossing and turning all night.' 'Magnesium sprays and oils are marketed as effective sleep aids because they bypass the digestive system. When applied to the skin, magnesium is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, potentially providing faster relaxation and fewer digestive side effects... the hype is largely based on anecdotal evidence. We need more clinical research to determine if topical magnesium is truly superior to oral supplements,' Dr RR Dutta, HOD of internal medicine at Paras Health was quoted as saying. Sunaina Roshan Explains The Connection Between Hunger and Food Choices

Ever wondered why you reach for unhealthy snacks when you're starving? The answer lies in understanding the connection between hunger, cravings, and food choices. By adopting a simple yet effective strategy of eating every 2-2.5 hours and fuelling your body with nutritious foods, you can break free from the cycle of unhealthy eating and develop a stronger, more resilient relationship with food. Hrithik Roshan's sister Sunaina Roshan agrees with the sentiment. Sunaina, who battled cervical cancer, fatty liver disease and brain tuberculosis in the past, had a massive weight loss transformation in 2017. Since then, she has been on a fitness journey of her own. She often shares useful health tips and tricks on her Instagram handle. In her latest Instagram video, Sunaina talks about food cravings and how she handles them with a simple trick. She says, "The way I handle my food cravings - I eat every 2 or 2.5 hours and cravings are not there so much. If you starve, you are bound to eat food that does not suit you, unhealthy foods such as desserts and cakes." "Starvation, I feel, leads to unhealthy eating. Basically, if you feed your body with healthy snacks, lunch, dinner, you are full and your body won't crave for something that's not good for you," Sunaina adds. In the caption, she writes, "Being unbreakable isn't just about big life battles, it's also in the little choices we make every day. True strength is about nourishing yourself with real, whole foods and being in control of your cravings. Taking care of yourself is a powerful act of strength."
