Amanda Owen has shocked fans as she opened up about her new career move away from Ravenseat Farm. The 50-year-old and her ex-husband Clive, 69, who she split with in 2022 after 22 years of marriage, shot to fame in 2018 alongside their nine kids with their show Our Yorkshire Farm. The clan welcomed cameras into their home to share what it's like living on a farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire, and it soon became a huge fan favourite. Just three years after the programme wrapped in 2022, the clan starred in the second series spin-off Our Farm Next Door - which has followed them renovating a derelict farm next to theirs. However now Amanda has revealed a big career change as she took to Instagram on Thursday to share she is going to be on stage taking part in her own theatre tour. She captioned the post: 'There are some exciting things afoot. Here goes….in no particular order. 'Firstly it's the school holidays!!!! 'Secondly Our Farm Next Door Series 2 is being shown on Channel 4 on Saturday's at 6.30pm. 'Thirdly is that I'm going to be out and about and on theatre tour. 'You can buy tickets for the theatre tour via the No Third Entertainments website or the link in my bio. 'There's a bit of time and work to put in before then but I do so look forward to a look out. We have a lot to talk about.' Meanwhile in the video she began: 'Hello. I'm absolutely up to my eyes in these things. 'Yes, it's clipping time, and it's hay time, and you've got to do all those things while the sun is shining. "But I'm here to tell you, actually, about something that's going on in the winter when all these jobs are done. She added: 'There's a bit of time and work to put in before then but I do so look forward to a look out. We have a lot to talk about' 'I'm heading out on the open road again. 'Yes, it's theatre tour time, and I'm coming to Lancaster, Lincoln, Chesterfield, Scarborough, Ilkley, Scunthorpe, and Middlesbrough. A recent episode of the Channel 5 show saw the young farmer celebrate his 21st birthday with a trip to Whitby. Reuben, his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood and a group of his pals hopped on their tractors for a 100-mile trip to the seaside for his big day, however it didn't really go to plan. On the first day Reuben's vintage tractor started leaking, followed by a massive problem the next day of the trek as his vehicle broke down on the way as they travelled up a hill. However they managed to make it and celebrate his special day. Reuben and Jess have also hinted at moving in together after a year of dating. He told The Mirror: 'We're just waiting for something to come up.

The 50-year-old shares Raven, 23, Reuben, 21, Miles, 18, Edith, 16, Violet, 14, Sidney, 13, Annas, 11, Clemmy, nine, and Nancy, eight with ex Clive Owen, 70, who she split from in 2022 after 22 years of marriage. Shepherdess Amanda took to her Instagram to share some snaps of her youngest having a splash in a bid to cool themselves down during the heatwave. Captioning the post, she said: 'Beating the heat by heading to cool, shady dubs. 'It's not all about the swim, the immersion is not just in the water but in the surroundings. 'Ducklings, butterflies, pond skaters and brown trout rising and the buzz of insects amongst the overhang of bilberry. 'Not a nature reserve, a farm.' But one person pointed out in the comments section: 'Is no one going to mention the precarious fence!' In a number of the snaps there is a rusted fence hanging above them on the hill, at seemingly quite a steep angle. Despite that, others rushed to thank her for sharing some wholesome content. Christmas Tales From The Farm, illustrated by Becca Hall, will be out in September and is written for eight to 12-year-olds. Speaking about her new project, Amanda said: 'I am absolutely delighted to have been given the opportunity to enter the world of children's books with renowned publishers, Puffin. 'As a mother myself I know firsthand the joy that books can bring to young readers and how a book can stay with you into adulthood, take you places and open up new worlds.' She added: 'To be taken under the wing of the Puffin family, publishers of some of my childhood favourites, is something that I could never have dreamed of being possible.' The TV favourite also took to Instagram to share the news. She said: 'I wanted to share with you the news of the latest addition to the farm... nope, not another woolly bundle of joy, no, it's my new children's book! 'What's it about you ask? What else could it be about other than the farm, the animals, children, nature, countryside and it's published by Puffin. 'And it's going to be out on 11th September.'

Our Yorkshire Farm 's Miles Owen shared a sad verdict on his dad Clive as he revealed he's caught between two factions at Ravenseat Farm. Miles, 17, dad Owen, 69, mum Amanda, 50, and his eight siblings are best known for appearing on the Channel 4 show between 2018 and 2022. The show followed the lives of the Owen family at the farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire, and has then gone on to star in Our Farm Next Door, which launched on our screens last year. His brother Reuben landed his own spin-off, Reuben: Life In The Dales, and Miles recently spoke out about what he would like to do in the future while appearing on the show. But he mentioned a 'balance' because he's halving his time between helping his sibling Reuben, and his dad too, especially in the fallout from his hip replacement surgery. Miles said: 'I really enjoyed growing up on the farm. 'One of my jobs was doing the chickens, collecting the eggs, looking after them, and feeding them. 'I'm doing more work with the cows and the sheep at the moment. 'I've talked to Reuben about the digging side and me helping more, getting more involved with his company, which I wouldn't mind at all... 'But, I've got to balance it, because dad's getting on and he's slowing down a bit. 'So, I've got to help dad when it's needed and I can't leave him to manage.
