Temperatures soar to 48°C in Oman; health warnings issued
Muscat: Nizwa and Adam stations in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate has recorded the highest temperature in the Sultanate of Oman which 48 degrees Celsius. According to Oman Meteorology, Nizwa and Adam stations recorded a temperature rise of 48 degrees Celsius, followed by Al Qabil and Mahout stations, with temperatures reaching 47 degrees Celsius. Due to the high temperatures today, please avoid direct sunlight, especially during the afternoon, to prevent heat stroke. Heatstroke, heat exhaustion, and other symptoms associated with high temperatures are common, especially since many jobs and field activities require workers to be exposed to sunlight and high temperatures. Gold prices in Egypt surge on Sunday
Arab Finance: The gold prices in Egypt collectively increased on Sunday, with the 24-karat jumping to EGP 5,508.5 per gram for purchasing and EGP 5,542.75 for selling, iSagha's data showed. The 22-karat gold price also climbed to EGP 5,049.5 for buying and EGP 5,081 per gram for selling. Likewise, the 21-karat gold amounted to EGP 4,820 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,850 for selling. The 18-karat gold price soared to EGP 4,131.5 per gram for buying and EGP 4,157.25 for selling. Central Bank of Egypt unveils $1.58bln T-bills end-week
Cairo – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 80 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 19 June. The first tranche stood at EGP 40 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 23 December 2025, according to official data.
