Syria sends reinforcements to As Suwayda amid deadly clashes

ALBAWABA - The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Monday that, with coordination with the Ministry of Defense, Syrian forces were dispatched to As Suwayda Governorate to intervene amid deadly armed conflict.
The Ministry of Interior also said that Syrian forces were sent to end clashes and restore security and stability to the area after violent clashes in the Al-Maqous neighborhood erupted, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed its determination to prosecute all those responsible for the bloody incidents and bring them before the competent judiciary, ensuring the restoration of stability, consolidating the rule of law, and preventing the recurrence of such tragedies.
According to a preliminary toll, more than 30 people were killed and around 100 others were injured as a result of tensions and clashes between local military groups and some clans.
