The Greek island crowned the world's best in 2025 by Travel + Leisure
The Greek islands are incredibly popular holiday destinations, particularly the nightlife hub of Mykonos and the ridiculously picturesque caldera of Santorini. But, according to the Travel + Leisure awards, one island is a cut above the rest – not only in Greece, but across the entire planet. The travel publication has named Páros the best island in the world in their annual World's Best Awards. The island rose to fame during the Cycladic civilization for its Parian marble, which was used in masterpieces like Venus de Milo and Nike of Samothrace. It's been ruled by the Romans, Venetians and Ottomans until 1832, when it finally became part of the modern Greek state. Today, Páros is known for its laidback beaches, shopping and dining. It's featured on T+L 's best European islands list since the category was created, but this is the first time the island has been crowned the best in the world. So, what makes Páros so great? According to the thousands of T+L readers who voted for this Cyclades island, it comes down to versatility. One of their readers noted that Páros held 'surprises in every corner'. Maybe they were thinking of the island's Golden Beach, famous for its optimal windsurfing conditions. Or possibly, they thought of the nightlife in Naoussa, Páros's second largest town, fully stocked with high-end restaurants, elevated hotels and bars aplenty, like Meltemi. Perhaps it was Páros's capital, Parikia, that caught the reader's attention, where tourists delve into the island's history by visiting ancient churches, castle ruins or the Archaeological or Byzantine museums. Whatever the reason, we're sold. It sounds like Páros is an island lover's dream. Curious about where else was featured on the list? Read on. These are the world's 10 best islands right now Páros, Greece Palawan, Philippines Bali, Indonesia Ischia, Italy Fiji Maldives Galápagos Islands, Ecuador Hvar & the Dalmatian Islands, Croatia Madeira, Portugal Mallorca, Spain ICYMI: This is officially the most beautiful place in the world, according to Time Out.

The sky-high London hotel that was just named one of the top 10 best in Europe
There's a London hotel for every budget, purpose, mood and niche. The capital has countless fantastic places to stay, from affordable to five-star, family-friendly and business-appropriate to romantic. There's a reason Time Out's list of the best hotels in London stretches all the way to 100. And it isn't just us that backs London's hotel scene. Posh travel mag Travel + Leisure recently announced its World's Best Awards for 2025, which included a ranking of Europe's top hotels – and one of London's swishest establishments made the cut. T+L 's World's Best Awards are chosen by the publication's readers, and the top hotel worldwide was a luxe Kenyan safari lodge (find out more about that here). First place in Europe went to Raffles Istanbul. The London hotel on the list was Shangri-La The Shard, which came ninth in T+L 's list of the best city hotels in Europe. The Shard 's Shangri-La is a five-star hotel occupying 18 floors of London's tallest skyscraper, spanning the 34th to the 52nd levels. Back in 2023 Time Out reviewed Shangri-La The Shard, awarding the place five stars for its 'jaw-dropping views' and extraordinary luxury. This outpost of global hotel chain Shangri-La has prices to match its fanciness: the most affordable rooms still cost at least £500 per night. Here are a few more pics of Shangri-La The Shard, for a sneak peek at the luxury within. Not bad, eh? You can find out more and book (if you've got the cash, that is) on here. Wasn't the only British hotel in T+L 's rankings. In the mag's separate 'best Europe resorts' list, Gleneagles in Scotland placed 13th. You can read Time Out's five-star review of Gleneagles here. Mondrian Singapore Duxton has been crowned Singapore's top city hotel of 2025
Luxury hotels, boutique and shophouse hotels, unique staycations that will take you off the beaten name it, and Singapore's got it. One accommodation category that you simply can't ignore is also the city hotels, which are the places in the heart of the urban action, amidst skyscrapers and Singapore's trendiest hubs. We have our opinion on t he best ones in the country – but a new ranking by lifestyle and travel magazine Travel + Leisure is worth a look at for some inspiration too. This year, T+L surveyed close to 180,000 readers to get their honest thoughts on top cities, islands, hotels, spas, airlines, cruises, and more. More than 657,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties, with hotels classified as resorts, city hotels, inns, or safari lodges based on their offerings. Readers rated these accommodations based on their rooms and facilities, location, service, food, and value, using a 5-point scale ranging from poor to excellent. Readers' favourite city hotel in Singapore? Mondrian Singapore Duxton, a gorgeous hotel in Duxton Hill that opened in 2023. The hotel was also recognised as the No. 5 hotel in Singapore in Travel+Leisure Asia's Luxury Awards 2025 and the Best Overseas Hotel in Singapore in the Travel+Leisure China Reader's Choice Awards 2025. Things T+L readers loved? Impeccable hospitality and the hotel's winning location. Mondrian Singapore Duxton is located within easy reach of some of the best restaurants and bars on the Tanjong Pagar strip. There are some majorly delicious spots to hit up within the hotel itself, such as 'World's Greatest Butcher' Dario Cecchini's Bottega di Carna, Singapore's first South American fine dining restaurant Araya, and the newly-opened woodfire-focused restaurant Firebird by Suetomi. When all's said and done, you can hit up Jungle Ballroom for drinks and a boogie, or retire to one of 302 chic guestrooms – they're all amazing, but we definitely recommend the shophouse suites for a tasteful touch of heritage. Next in line is Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, which T+L readers highlight for its "flawless service" and "modern and calming design". For The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (No.3), readers were impressed by its "art-filled public spaces". For Capella Singapore (No. 4) and Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore (No. 5), it's location, location, location: the former is located in lush compounds close to the attractions on Sentosa Island, and the latter is smack-bang in the middle of Orchard Road and all the shopping and entertainment that it offers. Travel + Leisure Readers' 5 Favourite City Hotels in Singapore of 2025: Mondrian Singapore Duxton (96.85) Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (96.31) The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (93.98) Capella Singapore (93.75) Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore (93.74)

This little-known domestic airline was just voted best in the U.S.
Air travel seems to come with a lot more hassle every year (at least we don't have to take our shoes off anymore!), but some airlines go above and beyond to make a passenger feel comfortable during the process. And according to nearly 180,000 Travel + Leisure readers who voted in the 2025 World's Best Awards survey, there's one domestic airline that reportedly stands out among all the others—and you've probably never heard of it. JSX, a public charter airline, just snagged the number one spot as the best domestic carrier, blowing past the stacked competition with a reader score of 92.29 out of 100. For context, the next closest airline, Hawaiian Airlines, scored 79.92. That's not a close race—that's a rout. So what exactly makes JSX so special? Readers say it starts before you even board. Flying JSX feels a bit like having your own private jet: smaller airports, no crowded terminals and the ability to check in just 20 minutes before takeoff. Security is frictionless, thanks to TSA-approved screening areas that skip the lines. Inside, passengers get free Starlink Wi-Fi, roomy leather seats and business-class vibes without the business-class price tag. As one T+L reader put it: 'Almost like flying private. Friendly staff, easy check-in, help with boarding, luggage.' That's the charm JSX sells, and clearly, it's working. JSX mainly serves the western U.S., with a few routes linking to Florida, the East Coast and even Mexico. And while you won't see them at every big-city airport, that's the point—they specialize in point-to-point flights that dodge the chaos of major hubs. The rest of T+L' s top 10 list includes familiar names like Hawaiian Airlines, Breeze Airways, Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines (the only "big four" carrier to crack the top five). But none came close to JSX's sky-high score. In a world where most domestic flights still feel like a test of patience, JSX shows there's another way, offering smaller crowds, faster boarding and personal service. The best airlines in the U.S., according to Travel +Leisure readers JSX Hawaiian Airlines Breeze Airways Alaska Airlines Delta Air Lines JetBlue Southwest United American Airlines Sun Country Airlines.
