Where is Tight End U? Event 'debating location' after years in Nashville
Tight End University (TEU) has blossomed into a big-time event since Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Greg Olsen founded it in 2021. The next step for the NFL tight end summit could be to take the show on the road. TEU has been hosted in Nashville since its inception, but Rubicon Talent founder Peter Raskin – whose agency reps Kittle and Olsen and produces Tight End University – acknowledged that could change in the future. "We might look at other cities moving forward," Raskin told Front Office Sports. "We're debating location." Raskin acknowledged TEU could remain in Nashville but the leadership team for the event is "looking at other markets." "We've gotten interest from other cities asking us to bring the event there, and other countries," he said. Raskin did not provide a timetable for such a decision to be made. He also made it clear financial considerations would not make a major impact on the decision. "Every dollar we make goes towards the event, and whatever we don't spend goes to charity," Raskin said, estimating TEU had donated roughly $2.5 million to charity since its founding. "We are not looking to make a profit, so we've turned down more sponsors than we've probably taken on." What TEU is focused on is finding more ways to involve fans in the event. Thus far, the event has mostly been private, with the only publicly available part of it being a country concert to which fans can purchase tickets. WHAT IS TIGHT END U? Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce just stepped out for back-to-back public appearances in support of TEU (Tight End University), aka the three-day training camp for tight ends that takes place in Nashville. And on top of showing up for the welcome party in a casual slow motion video... The pair also made an appearance at the Brooklyn Bowl for the Tight Ends & Friends concert—where Tay stepped on stage gave an impromptu performance of "Shake It Off." This was Taylor's first time performing in public since buying back her master recordings, and apparently she just wanted to have fun / support Travis at TEU. "She thought it would be fun to perform, and it made sure eyeballs were firmly on the Tight End University that Travis holds very close to his heart," a source tells the Daily Mail. "Travis was there at so many of her shows and even took part. She is now repaying the favor." Cute! In case you missed the moment, Tay was introduced by Kane Brown, who told the audience that he was bringing out a "really, really, really special guest." Taylor then walked on stage to a screaming crowd and said "Theoretically, how loud can we get?" Tight End University could become a traveling show
Tight End University may be broadening its horizons. The annual event could be leaving Nashville to become a traveling road show. As Peter Raskin of Rubicon Talent (which produces TEU) recently told David Rumsey of 'We might look at other cities moving forward.' Raskin said that they have heard from other cities — and even from other countries — about hosting TEU. It's become a moneymaker, even if the organizers (Greg Olsen, George Kittle, Travis Kelce) make no money. 'Every dollar we make goes towards the event, and whatever we don't spend goes to charity,' Raskin said. 'We are not looking to make a profit, so we've turned down more sponsors than we've probably taken on.' If they go on the road, there will be more money. And they'll be looking for more ways to involve the general public. For now, the event is mostly private, with a public concert on Tuesday night. Raskin said that an increase in events for fans and spectators 'will probably happen' in 2026. The bigger question is whether the event will happen at all in Nashville. It could be moving on as the profile moves up.
