Douglas Alexander, the minister of state for trade policy and economic security, wrapped up a two-day trip to the island on Monday, which included a meeting with Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te.

"Taiwan will need a lot of drones, a lot of deterrents. Our ambition with Taiwan is to operate on a scale of hundreds of thousands to millions," Auterion CEO Lorenz Meier said in an interview with Nikkei Asia.
