VulnCheck Announces Cybersecurity Leaders Jen Easterly and Andrew Boyd as Keynote Speakers for THREATCON1

LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- VulnCheck, the exploit intelligence company, today announced that former CISA Director Jen Easterly and former Director of the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence (CCI) Andrew Boyd will keynote THREATCON1, taking place September 21-22, 2025, at Carahsoft Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. The keynote session will explore how these dynamics are shaping U.S. cyber strategy and the broader global response to emerging threats. The two globally recognized cybersecurity leaders will share expert perspectives on the state of cybersecurity, the intersection of national security and next-generation technology, and the interplay between offensive and defensive strategies. The keynote session will explore how these dynamics are shaping U.S. cyber strategy and the broader global response to emerging threats. 'THREATCON1 will bring together some of the brightest minds across the cybersecurity community,' said Easterly. 'I'm looking forward to being part of this opportunity to collaborate on innovative ideas that will shape how our industry protects national security, critical infrastructure, and the broader global economy.' Globally recognized as a cybersecurity and national security leader, Easterly transformed CISA into a $3 billion powerhouse with over 10,000 personnel, establishing the agency as a cornerstone of U.S. cyber defense. Before CISA, she was Head of Firm Resilience at Morgan Stanley, where she built and led the Firm's Cybersecurity Fusion Center. Her public service includes two tours at the White House, over a decade at the National Security Agency, and multiple combat deployments in the U.S. Army. Boyd has spent his career safeguarding national security interests, serving in senior intelligence roles across the CIA. In his role as the Director of CCI, he led intelligence collection, analysis, and operations targeting foreign threats to U.S. national interests. Prior to the CIA, Boyd served as the Chief of Operations for the Counterterrorism Mission Center and U.S. State Department Foreign Service Officer at U.S. Embassies in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq and Syria. Like Easterly, he is a combat veteran and recognized authority in geopolitics, cyber operations and threat mitigation. 'We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cyberwarfare,' said Boyd. 'Technology is rapidly changing, alongside growing global tensions. Discussions, like the ones that will take place at THREATCON1, have never been more critical, as we come together to share cutting-edge research and collaborate on real-world threat response strategies.' THREATCON1 is designed to convene the industry's top defenders, researchers and intelligence professionals to foster collaboration in the fight against emerging threats. In addition to the keynotes, the event will feature talks from prominent analysts, researchers and cybersecurity leaders. The conference is currently accepting speaker submissions through its Call For Papers, which has been extended through Thursday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Topics of interest include vulnerability research, mitigation, strategies, playbooks and more.
