Ex-wrestling star Trenesha Biggers led out of New York apartment in handcuffs after arrest
Trenesha Biggers, a former TNA wrestling star who competed under the ring name 'Rhaka Khan', was arrested in New York City on Saturday morning. According to TMZ, Biggers was escorted out of her former apartment building in Midtown Manhattan at around 11:30am. Police handcuffed her and charged her with criminal trespassing. Tenants told the outlet that Biggers, age 43, had previously been evicted from the building and that she stayed on the premises without permission. The outlet also cites sources who say 'this isn't the first time she's caused issues' at the building. She was booked at the 17th precinct in the afternoon. It's unclear if she was released or in custody at the time of publishing. has contacted the NYPD for comment. Biggers, an Illinois native, played volleyball at Illinois Central College, the College of Southern Idaho, and Florida State University. She entered the 2005 WWE Diva Search and wrestled under her first name, Trenesha. After being released from the WWE in 2006, Biggers hit the independent circuit for two years before being signed to Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling in 2008. She would wrestle with the company for nearly two years before being released in October of 2009. Following her release, she competed in the first season of Lucha Libre USA. She would wrestle there until 2011. She retired afterwards. This is not the first time that Biggers has had run-ins with the law. Biggers was previously in a relationship with former WWE superstar Kurt Angle. She obtained a protection from abuse (PFA) order against him in August 2009 and had him removed from his own house. The PFA was later voluntarily withdrawn by her. In August 2019, Biggers was placed on the most-wanted list in El Paso, Texas on a charge of interference with child custody. After the posting, a recording surfaced of her ex-husband (a former independent wrestler) admitting to making multiple false police reports and false reports to Child Protective Services against her.

Eric Bischoff Believes TNA Can Surpass AEW As The Number Two Wrestling Promotion In A Year
Eric Bischoff sees things in TNA Wrestling's future that not many people would believe. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff was a recent guest on The Ariel Helwani Show. While discussing TNA, Bischoff praised the company for making small moves to rebuild their perception within the industry. 'They're making a lot of smart decisions,' Eric Bischoff said. 'I remember when Carlos came on, they made an announcement when Carlos came on, and I was like, okay. We'll see what happens. But they're making a lot of — they're growing incrementally, right? And they're doing it almost quietly. They're not out there thumping their chests and talking about taking down the competition and all the crazy stuff that, for example, AEW did in the very beginning. 'They're just quietly going about their business, producing great shows, bringing in great talent, and getting involved with great partnerships. They're growing their business. And that's the part that excites me, watching a business grow, especially a wrestling business. I got a little bit of an affinity for it, so it's been fun watching TNA grow.' Bischoff would go on to say that he believes the company is one deal away from being a major player, referring to a broadcast deal for their weekly show, TNA iMPACT. 'They're one deal away from being a major player,' Eric Bischoff said. 'If they get a broadcast partner, if they get the right broadcast situation, because they've got the product. They know what they're doing. There's a good team of people. They just need a bigger platform. And if they get it, watch them take off.' Eric Bischoff believes TNA can surpass AEW by this time next year When asked if they could at some point pass AEW to become the number two wrestling promotion, Bischoff believes they could by this time next year with the right TV deal. 'By this time next year,' Eric Bischoff claimed. 'I think so. Depends on a TV deal. If the TV deal isn't a big one, damn near impossible. But what's number two? By what revenue? By what measure do we define a number two? But I think in terms of television ratings, popularity, yeah, they could be number two in a minute.' When asked what TNA is doing right that AEW isn't, Bischoff took to time to fire shots at the promotion. 'They're just doing the basics,' Eric Bischoff said. 'They're doing the basics and producing a show for the mainstream wrestling audience, not for that 10% hardcore sicko that everybody thinks is a cool demo, because it's not.' TNA Slammiversary sees WWE icon, 48, return to calls for 'one more match'
A WWE legend made an emotional return at TNA Slammiversary over a decade after his last appearance. After rumours and teases turned into an announcement from TNA Wrestling, AJ Styles returned to the promotion where he made his name and helped inspire a generation. Partway through Sunday night's show – which made history with a record breaking North American crowd for the company with 7,623 in attendance – the Phenomenal One came out after the match between Leon Slater and Moose. Slater, 21, made history of his own by becoming the youngest ever X-Division Champion, but there was another special moment on the way. Styles, who was the inaugural X-Division Champion over two decades ago, came out to his iconic Time To Fly theme music from his TNA days. He asked the crowd if they missed him, before praising the way TNA has continued to thrive, and paying tribute to Slater for continuing the rich history of the title and the company. Styles corrected fans chanting 'you deserve it' as Slater, insisting the Bradford-born wrestler 'earned it' instead. The crowd also chanted 'one more match', calling for the former world champion to step into a TNA ring before he retires. He promised to 'get to that match', although he didn't address the calls on the night. During the broadcast, commentator Tom Hannifan announced TNA had made history with its highest ever attendance in North America over its 23-year history. 'This company has worked tirelessly since last December when it was announced that Slammiversary would be held at the UBS Arena,' said TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva in a press release. 'To see a record-setting crowd at the UBS Arena was a milestone moment for TNA Wrestling that no one will ever forget.' TNA Seeking TV Rights Deal To Go Live 52 Weeks A Year
TNA Wrestling has some lofty goals for a potentially huge television deal for iMPACT. Anthem Sports President Carlos Silva recently spoke with JohnWallStreet. While discussing the current partnership between TNA and WWE, Silva revealed that Anthem is looking for a new television deal for TNA iMPACT that would see the brand go live 52 weeks a year. 'We are [regularly] being featured on every major WWE and NXT platform. PLEs as well as weekly programming on The CW and their other [broadcast] outlets like Peacock,' Carlos Silva said. 'This [has resulted in] a huge [television] audience lift for [us], along with all the social media support we get from [them]. 'A new media rights deal will help us build a more consistent fan base with larger reach. It will also provide us the opportunity to go live 52 weeks a year, and in today's world live matters [in terms of fan interest and revenues].' How much is Anthem looking to get a year for TNA iMPACT? Silva would go on to reveal that the company is currently looking for a deal within the $10 million a year range for iMPACT. 'Something in the $10mm/year range is where we [and CAA] think we should be,' Carlos Silva said. 'We're talking to [all the established] linear guys and a couple of newer platforms that need a foundational [programming] centerpiece. There are a couple of networks that look like Spike [TV] in today's world, we could be a good fit for, the same way [UFC and TNA were for that network a decade or two ago].' Finally, Silva stated that they are confident that iMPACT have a new distribution deal in place in the next two months. This would be a huge step up for the company as a majority of homes in the United States don't get AXS TV. Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more news on TNA's potential new television deal as it becomes available. TNA President Teases Slammiversary Will Be ‘PHENOMENAL'
Could it be? This weekend, TNA Wrestling will celebrate its 23rd anniversary with a stacked card at Slammiversary. Amongst the lineup is TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich vs NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne, with the winner taking possession of both championships. Elsewhere, TNA World Champion Trick Williams will defend his title against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. Per an announcement from TNA President Carlos Silva, fans are also hoping to see an appearance from a popular TNA alum. Due to high demand, TNA has opened up additional seats at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, the site of Slammiversary. 'We're moving the stage back to accommodate more fans,' Silva wrote on Twitter/X. 'This event will be TNA's greatest achievement and trust me it's going to be PHENOMENAL.' The latter sentence has particularly caught the attention of fans, as it seemingly points to former TNA World Champion AJ Styles, known as 'The Phenomenal One.' While a contracted WWE talent, Styles appeared on the 2022 Slammiversary event, via a pre-taped video honoring the company's then-20-year anniversary. Given WWE's current partnership with TNA, wrestling fans have long called for Styles to physically return to his former home of 12 years. Styles' TNA run was so successful that the company considered inducting him into their Hall of Fame. Styles turned it down at the time, citing his desire to wait until after he retires from in-ring competition. As of this writing, there is no official word on whether or not AJ Styles will appear at Slammiversary 2025 in any manner. Regardless, the July 20 event already looks to be a success from a ticket standpoint, with Silva promising the show itself to also be a success.
