Ezra Frech talks 2028 Paralympic promise, ‘Adaptive' doc series on TODAY

For Ezra Frech, gold medals on back-to-back days at the Paris Paralympics were extraordinary, but not completely satisfying. So Frech is sticking to the promise he made years ago — to win three track and field events at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. 'To win a gold in the three most explosive events — high jump, long jump, 100m — and do it in my hometown,' he said on the TODAY Show set on Tuesday. 'That would top these (two Paris Olympic gold medals).' Frech, 20, won the T63 100m and high jump in Paris last summer. He also placed fifth in the long jump after finishing fourth in that event at the previous two world championships. He actually missed his first few weeks of freshman classes at USC to compete at the Games. After winning the 100m, a professor sent him a congratulatory email that also reminded him to complete classwork by the next day. 'I'm sitting there, greatest moment of my life, gold medal on my neck, thinking there's no way I'm doing this discussion (work) before tomorrow,' he said. Next on the track for Frech could be the Para National Championships from July 31-Aug. 2 in Eugene, Oregon, held in conjunction with the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships for the first time. Frech is qualified to contest the 100m, high jump and long jump should he choose to compete. The World Championships are Sept. 26-Oct. 5 in New Delhi, India. In the meantime, Frech stars in 'Adaptive,' which debuts July 28 on Peacock. The three-episode series follows four U.S. Paralympians' experiences at the Paris Games: Frech, Jamal Hill (Para swimming), Courtney Ryan (Wheelchair basketball) and Josie Aslakson (Wheelchair basketball). 'Adaptive is literally everything that a sports doc should be,' Frech said. 'It's raw, authentic. It's emotional. It's gritty. There's lots of lows and failure and laughter, and then in my case, ultimately, the highest of the highs.' Paralympic venue plan outlined for 2028 Los Angeles Games All 2028 Paralympic venues are expected to be within a 35-mile radius surrounding Los Angeles.

EXCLUSIVE Today host Dylan Dreyer announces shock divorce from husband of 13 YEARS Brian Fichera

Today Show co-host and meteorologist Dylan Dreyer announced in a shock Instagram post Friday that she is divorcing her husband of over a decade, Brian Fichera. She posted a long statement about the matter, beginning: 'For many years I have shared my family with you all - the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between. 'I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you've given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate. 'We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another. 'Thank you as always for your support,' the message concluded. A source told Daily Mail that the separation is 'amicable.' 'Dylan and Brian remain best friends, and the separation is amicable,' the source revealed. 'Their full focus is on their three small children.' The anchor, who hosts the third hour of TODAY, married Fichera, a cameraman and producer, in 2012. Brian proposed in July 2011 while they were visiting her parents in Easton Massachusetts. The two met while working at NBC's Boston affiliate, WHDH, and tied the knot in the Bay State as well. They share three children together - sons Calvin 'Cal' Bradley, 8, Oliver 'Ollie' George, 5, and Russell 'Rusty' James, 3. The last photo of Fichera that Dreyer had posted to her Instagram page was on June 15, in honor of Father's Day. The sweet snap showed a selfie of their entire family, as she joked that they went to a Boston Red Sox game - from the comfort of their own home, lovingly referring to her husband as 'Bri.' But strangely enough, it's the only photo of him that she's posted on social media within the past few months. Earlier this year, the NBC Earth Odyssey host also listed their New York City apartment for $2.5 million, per Realtor. According to the outlet, Dreyer and her husband bought the home in 2016 after they sold their Upper West Side co-op. The news comes after Dreyer opened up about the secret to a having a happy marriage in 2023, after almost 11 years into their union. For her and Brian, she said that having a shared hobby helps them get back to their happy place. 'Golf is the thing we do together. We have a couple of drinks, we laugh. We remember why we fell in love,' Dreyer told at the time. 'Then we go home and it's right back to family.' They have three young boys and while it is challenging, they feel that parenthood has only made their relationship stronger. 'It's a lot of kid time. It's like, "Brian, I need to take Oliver to the doctor. I need you to take Calvin to karate. I'll see you at dinner!"' Dreyer shared. 'I don't want say it's had any negative impact on our relationship — we've only gotten stronger.' They also emphasize the importance of communication in their relationship. 'My family can hold a grudge. If something is bothering us, we're like, "I'll talk to you later," and then we never address why we were upset in the first place,' Dreyer explained. 'Brian won't even let me be mad for 10 minutes. He's like, "Please just talk to me about you're upset so we can go back to having fun."'

Hailey's outing comes hours after her husband Justin attempted to clear up lingering marital strife rumors by sharing a loved-up post entirely dedicated to his beleaguered wife. In the four-picture Instagram slideshow, the pop star, 31, embraced the Rhode founder while relaxing poolside on a balcony overlooking a body of water during sunset. Justin, who boasts 607.6M social media followers, captioned his PDA post: 'My forever n always.' Instagram user @lasarahsmith got the most likes with her comment: '*Zooms in to make sure it's Hailey.*' The married couple of six years originally met backstage at the TODAY Show in 2009, they began dating in 2015, and they rekindled their on/off romance in 2018 three months after his split from Selena Gomez. Justin and Hailey also put on a strong united front a week ago while attending night three of DJ Martin Garrix's first headlining LA gig at the city's State Historic Park. Eyebrows raised over Bieber's disrespectful public posts about Mother's Day and Hailey's first solo American Vogue cover. The power dynamic changed between the two-time Grammy winner and the model in May when Hailey sold her skincare/cosmetics company for $1B to e.l.f Cosmetics. She will remain with the company as chief creative officer and head of innovation. Last month, Us Weekly reported that 'things aren't great right now' due to Justin's erratic behavior causing 'a lot of stress' for Hailey. 'Family issues have clouded her success,' a source told the mag. In the four-picture Instagram slideshow with Hailey, the pop star embraced her while relaxing poolside on a balcony overlooking a body of water during sunset 'Justin's going through a difficult time, and Hailey is giving him room to get himself back on track. He's doing his best, but it's tough.' On Sunday, Bieber also posted a short video of himself touching and smiling at their 10-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber on his lap, which he captioned with eight heart-eye emojis. Worryingly, the star also shared a slideshow of sweaty selfies captioned: 'Detoxxxxxxxxxxx.' Justin - who previously got sober in 2014 - frequently shares snaps of himself smoking as his ever-present musician buddies grinded marijuana and rolled joints in the background. Bieber's athleisure clothing company SKYLRK is rumored to launch on July 17. The former YouTube sensation enlisted business partner Neima Khaila and 3D design consultant Finn Rush-Taylor to help him create the replacement to his prior label, Drew House. Justin has recently fired his manager Scooter Braun, 'swagger coach' Ryan Good, business manager Lou Taylor, bodyguards Keith Gibbs and Eric Johnson, as well as security guard Kenny Hamilton. Bieber was already suffering from depression before revealing he had come down with Ramsay Hunt syndrome in 2022, which made him focus more on his health than his career. The disgraced rap mogul, 55, is still incarcerated at MDC Brooklyn's Special Housing Unit ahead of his October 3 sentencing for two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution. However, the jury of eight men and four women found Diddy not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges on Wednesday.

‘Detox' From Wife Hailey Bieber? Justin Bieber Shuts Down Divorce Rumors With Loved Up Four-Word Update

Justin Bieber is trying to silence rumors about trouble in his marriage with Hailey Bieber by sharing a sweet post dedicated to her on Instagram. On Sunday, the pop star shared four cozy pictures with Hailey Baldwin Bieber, showing them embracing poolside during sunset. The singer captioned the slideshow with just four words: 'My forever n always.' The rare public display of affection comes as speculation about the couple's relationship continues. In the pictures, Hailey's face is partly visible as she hugs Justin from behind, but her identity is mostly hidden. Justin and Hailey Bieber have been married for six years. The pair first met backstage at the TODAY Show in 2009, started dating in 2015, and reunited in 2018 after Justin's breakup with Selena Gomez. Rumors about their marriage trouble resurfaced last month when US Weekly reported that "things aren't great right now" due to Justin's "erratic behavior." A source told the outlet, "Justin's going through a difficult time, and Hailey is giving him room to get himself back on track. He's doing his best, but it's tough." Recently, the couple attended DJ Martin Garrix's show in LA to show they are still united. But fans raised eyebrows when Justin posted controversial Mother's Day messages, and Hailey's first solo Vogue cover also made headlines. Justin Bieber posts 'Detoxxxxxxxxxxx' selfies On the same day as the loved-up post, Bieber also shared sweaty selfies with the caption: 'Detoxxxxxxxxxxx.' The pop star has battled health challenges in recent years. He got sober in 2014 and revealed he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome in 2022, which affected his health and career. Justin also posted a video with their 10-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, with eight heart-eye emojis. Justin is planning to launch his new athleisure brand, SKYLRK, on July 17. He teamed up with Neima Khaila and Finn Rush-Taylor to create the brand, which will replace his previous label, Drew House. He has recently severed ties with his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, as well as bodyguards Keith Gibbs and Eric Johnson, and security guard Kenny Hamilton. He also parted ways with business manager Lou Taylor and 'swagger coach' Ryan Good.

‘No One Should Have to Go Through This': Venus Williams On Fibroids & Fighting To Be Heard

Source: WWD / Getty Venus Williams has always been a powerhouse on the court. But her latest win isn't about titles – it's about telling the truth and reclaiming her health. In a recent exclusive interview with the TODAY Show , Venus Williams' fibroid journey takes center stage. While the world watched her dominate in tennis, the seven-time Grand Slam winner battled with the condition for years. On July 3, Venus revealed that for most of her life, doctors dismissed her extreme period pain, nausea, and anemia. She knew she had fibroids, but nobody explained how deeply they were affecting her health and performance. 'I was outraged that I didn't know this was possible,' she said. 'No one should have to go through this.' She described suffering in silence. The champ layered clothes to hide bleeding, often threw up from cramps, and laid on locker room floors during tournaments. But she kept playing. 'I did not wave the white flag. It is not a thing for me,' she said. Venus Williams' fibroids experience is all too familiar for Black women. Fibroids disproportionately impact us, and too often, our pain is minimized or ignored. Her story mirrors a larger issue where even world-class athletes are left unheard. Venus shared that some health care professionals said her condition was 'natural birth control.' Another doctor brushed off her symptoms as 'part of aging.' What finally prompted her to seek care was a social media post that read, 'You don't have to live like this.' That moment of recognition led her to NYU Langone's Center for Fibroid Care, where she was diagnosed correctly and underwent a successful myomectomy. Despite years of misdiagnosis and medical gaslighting, Venus is using her voice now to speak directly to women who may be suffering in silence. 'Hopefully, someone will see this interview and say, 'I can get help. I don't have to live this way,'' she said. Venus may be known for her backhands and forehands, but this time, it's her honesty that's hitting the hardest.
