Brodie Hampson makes racing history with double victory to ride out her claim

TOTE ambassador Brodie Hampson has made racing history after riding out her claim with a stunning double victory. The 29-year-old amateur turned pro over Easter weekend with back-to-back wins in Jersey, triumphing aboard Throne Hall and Blue Yonder, both trained by her husband, top flat trainer Archie Watson. 1 The wins saw Brodie complete the required number of victories to ride out her claim - a huge milestone in the racing world and places her among a select group of trailblazing women in the sport. Brodie's rise through the ranks has been documented in Brodie Hampson: Making A Claim, a YouTube series produced by The Tote, which showcases her journey from the saddle to stardom. To mark her achievement and in the spirit of giving back, Tote have been donating to various charities close to Brodie's heart in celebration of her success. Speaking after the emotional moment, supporters praised Brodie's "grit and resilience" after a career marked by both triumph and injury. Lisa Hancock, CEO of the Injured Jockeys Fund: "We're really delighted to see that Brodie has ridden out her claim. "She's had more than her fair share of injuries over the last few years and the Oaksey House rehab team whom she has got to know particularly well have been following each winner that she has ridden really closely! It's a great achievement for her." Jeremy Lune, CEO of Prospect Hospice added: "We're incredibly grateful to Brodie Hampson for her generous donation of £1,000 in memory of her father, who we had the privilege of caring for during his final days. "Her support will make a significant difference to the lives of patients and families facing end-of-life care. "We wish Brodie all the best as she embarks on her professional racing career. Congratulations on turning pro! We're all rooting for you!"
