White River's Power of 8000 helps clear parks and clean public spaces
The Power of 8000 (TPO8000) continues ensure the town is kept clean.
The organisation's crew facilitates the removal of uncollected waste, clears public parks and removes alien plants.
Recently, the organisation cleaned and cleared Mimosa Park. According to TPO8000's chairperson, Rhodes Abell, the park is safe for children and adults to play and walk through it.

'We are not taking over the City of Mbombela's work; we are merely lending a helping hand. It is the municipality's responsibility to maintain this area. It belongs to the people who live around it, and who pay their rates and taxes,' he said.

Abell added that the community action group aims to make a positive contribution to keeping White River neat and tidy, instead of complaining about how bad things are.
