Puttaparthi: The Swarnandhra-2047 Vision Document District Unit was inaugurated by District Collector TS Chethan at the Collectorate on Monday. The unit has been established at the District Chief Planning Office within the Collectorate. Following the inauguration, the Collector participated in a virtual launch event conducted from Amaravati by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, CPO Vijay Kumar, and other district officials also attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector TS Chethan said that in line with a developed India, unit offices have been set up in all assembly constituencies to achieve the goals of the Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision Document. He described this as a significant step forward across all sectors. Vision documents have already been prepared at the district, constituency, mandal, and secretariat levels. He further added that the documents not only outline the developmental goals to be achieved in the next five years but also the long-term development targets to be met by 2047. The action plan focuses on increasing the income of the common people, creating employment opportunities, providing essential infrastructure, and other developmental aspects. The Collector praised Naidu as a visionary leader whose vision plan is expected to yield great results in the future. He also mentioned that the foundation for this initiative has been laid within a year, and each constituency has been assigned a team of five members to implement it. He noted that the P4 policy is a key strategy to eliminate inequalities.

Puttaparthi: District Collector TS Chethan has instructed the concerned officials to actively involve the public in the Yogandhra programme. On Thursday, the Collector held a teleconference with district and mandal-level officials regarding the Yogandhra initiative. The Collector emphasized the need to widely promote the importance of yoga among people until June 21, encouraging enthusiasm and awareness. He directed that various competitions be organised for students and professionals in different fields to highlight yoga's significance. Committees at mandal and village levels should be formed to ensure the success of the Yogandhra programme. He further instructed identifying yoga trainers in every mandal to conduct training sessions and urged efforts to register a large number of people for yoga practice in the district. Yoga practice greatly improves mental and physical health, along with fostering peace and spiritual reflection, he added. Following the State government's directives, the Collector advised organising special training sessions and yoga events as part of Yoga Month and taking initiatives under the Swarnandhra goals to achieve a healthy and happy Andhra Pradesh. Special attention should be given to raising public awareness about the importance of yoga for daily health care. The Collector recommended conducting advance promotional activities for Yogandhra 2025 from May 21 to June 21 as prescribed by the state government. He also issued necessary guidelines on the steps to be taken in various related areas. SP V Ratna, Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, and others participated in the programme.

Kothacheruvu: District Collector TS Chethan on Saturday urged everyone to make cleanliness a part of their daily lives and actively participate in tree planting to combat environmental heat. Speaking at the Swachh Andhra Swachh Divas programme held at the Kothacheruvu Mandal headquarters, he highlighted that the vision of a prosperous 'Swarna Andhra' can only be achieved through cleanliness and collective responsibility. The event began with a human chain formation at NTR Circle, where participants took a voluntary pledge for a clean Andhra. Following this, the Collector inaugurated the chill room at the bus stand and later addressed the gathering at the Major Panchayat Office. He outlined a month-long campaign focused on heat relief measures, awareness of heatstroke prevention, installation of chill rooms, and distribution of buttermilk and oral rehydration salts (ORS) to protect residents during the summer. Highlighting the importance of hydration, the Collector emphasized that the human body contains a high percentage of water, and everyone should drink ample fluids during the hot season. He also called for arrangements to provide drinking water to livestock. Reiterating the environmental benefits of trees, he encouraged widespread tree plantation to reduce temperature and promote a healthier atmosphere. TS Chethan stressed that prioritizing personal and environmental cleanliness is key to good health. The program was attended by DPO Samatha, DWMA PD Vijayendra Prasad, MRO Neelakanthareddy, MPDO Nataraj, Medical Officer Ashwath Babu, and other public representatives.
