TVS Launches 2025 Apache RTR 160 with Dual-Channel ABS and Upgraded Features
New Delhi – TVS Motor Company has unveiled the new 2025 Apache RTR 160, now equipped with dual-channel ABS for the first time. The latest update enhances both safety and performance, positioning it as the most powerful 160cc motorcycle in its class. This version is OBD2B-compliant and brings a host of feature upgrades to meet the evolving needs of modern riders. With a focus on performance, technology, and design, the new Apache RTR 160 continues the brand's legacy of delivering track-inspired motorcycles built for the streets. Performance and Safety At the heart of the motorcycle is a 159.7cc engine producing 16.04 PS at 8,750 rpm and 13.85 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The motorcycle offers a best-in-segment power-to-weight ratio, ensuring sharp throttle response and dynamic handling. The inclusion of dual-channel ABS is a major safety upgrade, providing better braking control in all conditions. TVS Motor partners with Kadam Mobility to deploy 500 electric three-wheelers across India
ADVERTISEMENT TVS Motor Company on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kadam Mobility to deploy 500 electric three-wheelers during the financial year 2025–26. TVS Motor stock closed at ₹2,748.60 today, down 0.54%. As part of the agreement, Kadam Mobility, a fleet and EV infrastructure platform, will roll out TVS King EV MAX vehicles in phases, starting in select pilot zones by the second quarter of the fiscal year. The deployment will expand gradually in both volume and route coverage across metro and Tier 1 cities. The collaboration is aimed at bolstering India's electric vehicle (EV) transition and promoting dignified employment, especially among women and underrepresented communities. Kadam plans to integrate the vehicles into its wider EV ecosystem, which includes charging infrastructure and driver training programmes. TVS Motor Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OOR Cabs Pvt. Ltd., a technology-driven mobility platform, to supply 500 TVS King EV MAX electric three-wheelers during the financial year 2025-26. This collaboration aims to support sustainable urban mobility in Tamil Nadu. Under the agreement, OOR Cabs will deploy the electric three-wheelers initially in Trichy for intra-city passenger services, with plans to expand operations to Madurai and Coimbatore. The integration of these vehicles into OOR Cabs' fleet aligns with efforts to promote cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions. The TVS King EV MAX features a range of 179 km on a full charge, Bluetooth connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect™, quick charging capabilities, and an ergonomic design tailored to improve passenger comfort. OOR Cabs' customized vehicles will include on-board drinking water facilities, thermal insulation on the roof for better cabin comfort, and mobile charging ports to enhance the passenger experience. OOR Cabs aims to gradually increase its electric vehicle fleet by adding 20 to 30 vehicles each month. The initiative also focuses on empowering both male and female drivers and creating sustainable livelihoods in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
