WWE Evolution 2025 (July 13, 2025) Results: Judgement Day duo Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez retain Tag Team Championship title in Fatal-4-way match
Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez retain Tag Team Championship title (Image via WWE) Evolution 2025 is in full swing, with the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion match taking center stage. Teams from the RAW, SmackDown, and NXT divisions came together for an exciting time that had the fans screaming. Liv Morgan's unfortunate shoulder injury caused a disruption to the tag team lineup, leading Raquel Rodriguez to begrudgingly team up with Roxanne Perez, but the show must go on. They came up against the unlikely team-up of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, who qualified for the title match by beating B-Fab and Michin, and the Secret Hervice. Hopefully, they can maintain their working camaraderie without compromising the outcome. The other two tag teams are RAW's the Kabuki Warriors - Kairi Sane and Asuka, and NXT's Sol Ruca and Zaria. These four teams had a fierce battle to come up as the dominant duo and rule over the others to become champions on this historic night. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez come out as winners of the fatal-4-way match The fatal four-way match started off well, fast-paced and full of action. Fans saw Kairi Sane going off on the new Judgement Day member, Roxanne Perez, with a drop kick. From there, it's a mess of who's going after whom. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like American Investor Warren Buffett Recommends: 5 Books For Turning Your Life Around Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The two teams go after one another, exchanging tags, before Sol Ruca and Zaria enter the ring as well. Finally, Alexa Bliss comes in after getting the tag, and the match is in full swing. Evolution Tag Teams (Image via WWE) It's a quick work of who will finally take the win as all four teams battle it out to come out on top. The NXT tag team gives a tough competition, as do the Kabuki Warriors, and while the duo of Bliss and Charlotte Flair brings some fun to the table, it is Raquel Rodriguez who retains her belt alongside Roxanne Perez as the Tag Team Champions. While Perez dives on Flair, it is her partner who gets Sol up for a one-armed powerbomb. The Judgment Day win by pinfall. Perez is over the moon with the win, and Rodriguez, too, looks adequately pleased with her new partner at the end of the match. Looks like a night full of wonder. WWE SmackDown results (7/11/2025): Wyatt Sicks becomes the new Tag Team Champions
Photo via Getty Images Wyatt Sicks becomes the new WWE Tag Team Champion. Previously, the Street Profits held the Championship belt for 119 days. Tonight's match at SmackDown was their sixth defense. The team lost the belt to Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis of the Wyatt Sicks. Erick Rowan played a major role in changing the course of the match towards the end. Erick Rowan aids Wyatt Sicks in ending Street Profits' Tag Team Championship reign Erick Rowan played a major role in today's Tag Team Championship match. The Street Profits kicked off the match on a good note. Angelo Dawkins went head-on against Joe Gacy. The former pushed the latter to the corner of the ring. Initially, the Profits dominated the ring. However, Wyatt Sicks soon took over. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis took their turns to land blows on the former champions. Both teams landed significant strikes on each other. The match shuffled in favor of both teams at regular intervals. Montez Ford showcased some brilliant moves with some high-flying landings from the heavens on Lumis. This was the point where Erick Rowan played a major role in changing the course of the match. With the landing by Ford, the wrestler himself was hurt a bit. He was taking a moment to reach Lumis and end the game. However, Ford was distracted as Rowan cleared him out of the ring. Even though Dawkins rushed at Rowan to clear him out of the way, it was too late. The distraction gave both Lumis and Gacy enough time to buckle up. Ford once again goes up top and tries to land a frog splash on Lumis. But he misses. Gacy and Lumis took control and landed a powerbomb on Ford. The Wyatt Sicks brought home the Tag Team Championship belt. Wyatt Sicks' win sends a message to the Tag Team Division The change in the championship holders will have a significant impact across the entire tag team championship. In a follow-up segment, a new team of Andrade and Fenix made their presence official. Their appearance in the backstage segment might be an indication of a future collision with the newly crowned champions. Tonight's match saw all the members of the Sicks present. Erick Rowan's presence played a major role in securing the win. Uncle Howdy and Nikki Cross were also present outside the ring. They entered once Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis claimed the championship belt. Also Read: Will Gunther turn babyface at Saturday Night's Main Event? Will Liv Morgan Leave Judgment Day? All You Need to Know About Her Apparent Replacement
Image via WWE Liv Morgan's 2025 has been a mixed bag. On one hand, she successfully captured her 4th Tag Team Championship with Raquel Rodriguez after WrestleMania 41 and elevated her status as one of the most prominent performers on the main roster. However, her momentum has come to a big halt owing to her disastrous shoulder injury on the June 16th edition of RAW. In a match against Kairi Sane, the former world champion suffered a nasty fall with her shoulder hitting the mat awkwardly. Morgan immediately rinsed in pain and rolled out of the ring while still holding her shoulder in agony. It was later reported that she had suffered a dislocated shoulder and would require surgery and thus taking her out of action for a couple of months. However, this absence has raised a big question about her place in Judgement Day. But why? Roxanne Perez Can Very Well Be Liv Morgan's Worst Nightmare in the Judgment Day On the June 30th edition of RAW, Roxanne Perez, along with Raquel Rodriguez, held onto the Women's Tag Team titles in the absence of Morgan, with the Judgment Day voting unanimously in her favor. This move saved Rodriguez from being forced to relinquish the belts in the absence of Morgan. Although Dominik Mysterio suggested talking to Morgan about the change but Finn Balor convinced the Intercontinental champion otherwise. Moreover, it was Balor who, along with JD McDonagh, convinced RAW and SmackDown GMs to nod in favor of Perez. This change further planted seeds of Perez permanently taking Morgan's place in the stable. Moreover, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Perez has been a constant help to the stable and has also interfered in matches involving Morgan and Rodriguez. And ever since Mysterio captured the IC title at WrestleMania, Balor has realized that Morgan and Mysterio are now the top dogs of the stable. A position Balor yearned for after banishing Damien Priest. Many expected the Irishman to cost Mysterio the title just like he did to Priest, but instead, he has effectively used Perez as a point of contention between the new stable leaders. When Morgan eventually returns, she will certainly not be happy to find out about being replaced, all thanks to Balor's behind-the-scenes scheming. After all, Morgan is the same woman who, after the departures of Priest and Rhea Ripley, had become the de facto leader of Judgment Day. In storyline, Morgan had forced her way into the faction and ultimately Mysterio's arms, so it's only natural she now fears Roxanne Perez might be doing the same. WWE has been planting seeds for a Morgan face turn for some time, and now the moment feels right. A dramatic split from Judgment Day could launch her into a fresh run as one of WWE's top babyface stars. 5 Worst Things About WWE WrestleMania 41
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WrestleMania 41 has come and gone, boasting some incredible matches as well as breaking numerous records. WrestleMania 41 is the most successful and highest-grossing event in WWE history. It was also the most-viewed WrestleMania of all time, up 114% from the record set at last year's — Variety (@Variety) April 22, 2025 However, not everything lived up to expectations and left a bad taste in wrestling fans' mouths. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 20: John Cena (L) and rapper Travis Scott celebrate Cena's victory over Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. MoreBayley Written Out of WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match One of the most exciting moments during Night 2 was the return of Becky Lynch as Lyra Valkyria's partner against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. While the match was solid and resulted in a title change, it unfortunately came at the cost of one of WWE's best talents. Bayley had been removed from the match in a backstage segment the day before, meaning she would not be in WrestleMania 41, which is strange since she had such a strong showing the year prior. This part of Bayley's interview is absolutely gutting to watch. She knew what was coming and it hurt so much. — Edward Brooks (@TheEdwardBrooks) April 22, 2025 This was made even sadder when Lynch and Valkyria lost the titles the next day on Raw, leading to Lynch turning heel. It honestly makes the whole moment seem unnecessary. In an interview with Chris Van Vliet that was filmed before WrestleMania, you can tell that she wanted to be out there. And the fans wanted her, too. Logan Paul Defeats AJ Styles On paper, AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul isn't a terrible idea. Styles is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, and Paul is incredibly athletic, which leads to exciting moments. Unfortunately, none of this was seen when they faced off against each other. The match was slow and plodding, and it never had that incredible athletic moment that makes Paul an in-ring attraction. Instead, it felt that most of the time was spent with Paul playing with a drone. Looking at this match is made even sadder when you realize it could be the last time we see The Phenomenal One at WrestleMania. Internet's Toxic Reaction to Jey Uso Defeating Gunther The entire weekend opened with Jey Uso defeating Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. While this was an exciting and feel good moment for the people in Las Vegas, fans online seemed to have a different opinion. The internet wrestling community (IWC) has been particularly toxic when it comes to Uso, saying he only has a single word catchphrase and five moves. Despite going above and beyond to prove differently, Uso was unable to satiate his harshest critics. Comments on social media got downright vitriolic, taking away what was otherwise one of the best feel good moments of Night 1. In the end, Jey Uso is able to get over with the crowd in a way no one else is seemingly able to. And it's unfortunate the trolls don't realize this. John Cena Wins 17th World Championship in Lackluster Fashion The entire weekend was capped off with what can be considered one of the most high-profile matches in WrestleMania history. And even though the match saw John Cena make history, no one seemed happy about it. The overall match was slow and boring, save for a few exciting spots (nice hurricanrana, Cena!). In the end, it was capped off by Travis Scott coming down to help Cena defeat Cody Rhodes for the title, something that seemed absolutely unnecessary. Cena later said that he was going to ruin wrestling, indicating that he wrestled it that way on purpose to make the audience feel bad for how they have treated him over the years. Even if you go into something with the intention of doing it poorly to end a message, that doesn't change the fact that it's bad. Now, this match is already being considered one of the worst WrestleMania main events ever. The Rock Not Showing Up Part of the issue with the Night 2 main event was the convoluted story heading into it, particularly surrounding Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Would Rhodes sell his soul? What did The rock do to get Cena to turn heel? Unfortunately, fans never got an answer since The Rock never showed up. While it wouldn't normally make sense to include something on this list that didn't happen, later comments from Johnson made his absence even more frustrating. "We could have inserted the Final Boss in the finish at WrestleMania but then where do we go.. Why get involved in that finish when the spotlight should just be on John Cena.. John Cena getting number 17 & being a heel champion is the anchoring storyline" ~ @TheRock #PMSLive — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 22, 2025 In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Johnson explained that he didn't show up since this should be Cena's moment and that there wasn't really a plan for him in the first place. In the end, this has just made people wonder why The Rock got involved in the first place. If it had just been Cena, this whole thing would have made more sense and felt less deflating.
