Joe Jonas describes post-divorce relationship with ex-wife Sophie Turner as ‘beautiful co-parenting' experience
Joe Jonas has described his post-divorce relationship with ex-wife Sophie Turner as a 'beautiful co-parenting' experience. Offering rare insight into how the pair are raising their children together the 35-year-old singer made the remarks during a live appearance on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast tour, where he spoke about their two daughters, Willa, aged four, and Delphine, two. He said in a TikTok clip from the event: 'Having an incredible mum, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true. 'As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them. I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart.' Joe added he hopes Willa and Delphine 'be able to walk into any room and feel confidence and know that they can do literally anything they want.' Joe and Sophie, 29, began dating in 2016 and became engaged the following year. They married in 2019 before welcoming Willa in 2020 and Delphine in 2022. Their separation was announced in 2023 after four years of marriage. The couple's break-up then became publicly contentious when Sophie filed a lawsuit claiming that Joe had 'wrongfully removed' their children from England. A spokesperson for Joe described the legal filing at the time as a 'serious abuse' of the legal system. Despite the conflict, the couple reached a temporary agreement through mediation in October 2023, vowing to resolve their separation privately. But in March 2024, Sophie reactivated divorce proceedings and their split was finalised in September 2024. Joe has since been romantically linked to 33-year-old model Stormi Bree and 28-year-old actor Laila Abdallah. Speaking on a TalkShopLive stream earlier this year, he described dating again as 'scary and intimidating'. Sophie, meanwhile, was reportedly in a relationship with 29-year-old aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. The pair were last seen together earlier this year, but speculation about a split emerged in April. Sophie recently appeared to show public support for Joe's new solo project, 'Music for People Who Believe in Love', by posting a message of encouragement on Instagram. 'Go go @joejonas,' she wrote in a caption, alongside a link to the album.

Joe Jonas Admits It Was 'Scary And Intimidating' Dating Again After Divorcing Sophie Turner
Joe Jonas opened up about the challenges of dating again after his divorce from actress Sophie Turner. The former couple's split involved a custody battle, which was later resolved with Turner moving to the UK with their two daughters. Channeling his emotions, Joe Jonas created a new album, "Music For People Who Believe In Love," reflecting his personal growth. Jonas recently revealed that one of the most "intimidating" parts of his split from Turner was stepping back into the dating world. While chatting about his upcoming album, "Music For People Who Believe In Love," during a TalkShopLive session, Jonas touched on the emotions behind the track "Only Love." He explained that the song was inspired by a moment in his life when he was exploring romance again. "I was seeing somebody at the time and I was kind of having this idea of dating again," Jonas recalled, per the Daily Mail. "It was really scary and intimidating. Love takes different shapes and forms, and I was rediscovering what that was." The 35-year-old singer recalled a simple yet powerful comment from the person he was dating at the time: "It's only love." That statement stuck with him, as he noted, "I was like, 'Well, when you put it that way…' So we wrote a song about it. Like, it was not a big deal, but it was a big deal to me, and a big deal to them, too." He added: "But it's okay to take a leap of faith and just try again and put yourself out there." Jonas and Turner first began dating in 2016, and their relationship quickly blossomed. By 2019, the former lovebirds had exchanged vows and started a life together. During their time as a couple, they became parents to two daughters, Willa, now 4, and Delphine, 2. However, their seemingly strong union came to an end in 2023, and by September 2024, their divorce was officially finalized. The separation wasn't without challenges, especially when it came to co-parenting. The former couple found themselves in a legal custody dispute, particularly over where their daughters would primarily live. At one point, tensions escalated when Turner, who is originally from the UK, filed a child abduction complaint against the "Sucker" singer though she later requested for the case to be dropped in January of the following year. Ultimately, the matter was resolved, and by March, it was reported that Turner would be relocating to the United Kingdom with both children. After Jonas filed for divorce from Turner, the actress responded that the "breakdown of her marriage" to the singer "happened very suddenly." The two had been married for four years and seemed to be a happy couple outwardly. However, they appeared to have more than their fair share of arguments at home. One such argument occurred last year on August 15, 2023, Jonas' 34th birthday. Barely a month later, the singer filed for divorce. According to a report, Turner alleged at the time that she did not get notice of the divorce, claiming in her filing that she "found out through the media." Following his split from Turner, Jonas poured his emotions into his creative process, resulting in his upcoming studio album, "Music For People Who Believe In Love." Speaking with Billboard, the artist revealed that the project took shape during a period of "going through a lot of life changes." "Finding out who I was as a person and father, and friend, and living under the microscope of what the music industry can be. And I think, at such a crazy time in my life, I looked to music as an outlet," he shared. The "This is Me" singer described the process as both liberating and intimidating, stating: "It was scary at times, and also freeing. I'm not trying to come for anyone on this album. I'm not trying to put stuff on blast. I have a beautiful life that I'm grateful for. I've got two beautiful kids. I'm a happy person, and the music needed to resemble that - but also, the journey to get here." Joe Jonas is gearing up to hit the stage once again alongside his brothers, Kevin and Nick, for their "Living The Dream" tour, a special reunion marking the 20th anniversary of the Jonas Brothers. The milestone tour is scheduled to kick off this summer, bringing their two-decade journey full circle. In an official announcement, the trio expressed their excitement: "We're beyond excited to hit the road and celebrate 20 years of music. Our fans have been with us through every chapter, and this tour is our way of honoring them, the memories we've made, and the ones we'll create together. We can't wait to make this our biggest, most unforgettable tour yet." The tour launches on August 10 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and will span multiple cities across the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up on November 14.

Joe Jonas On Dating After Sophie Turner Divorce
Of course, you know Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner split back in 2023. They finalized their divorce last fall. The split was, at times, quite public — and since it's been finalized, the pair have wasted no time going their separate ways. Sophie dated British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson for about a year and a half; as of last month, there were rumors that their relationship was on thin ice, so we'll see. As for Joe, his brief relationship with model Stormi Bree came to a close last spring. So, Joe's got a new album out, Music for People Who Believe in Love. (I would've workshopped that title a bit more, but that's just me.) According to a recent interview he gave to TalkShopLive, one of the songs on the record, "One Love," was apparently inspired by a recent dating experience. 'I was seeing somebody at the time, and I was kind of having this idea of dating again," Joe said. "It was really scary and intimidating. Love takes different shapes and forms, and I was rediscovering what that was.' 'And this person kinda comically, sarcastically was like, 'It's only love.'" 'And I was like, 'OK, it's a big deal to me,'" he continued. "And a big deal to them, too. But it's OK to take a leap of faith and just try again and just put yourself out there.' There you have it. Maybe we'll find out who, exactly, he was talking about one day, but I doubt it.
