Nepo-baby influencer Gabriella Bardsley blames ‘quasi-celebrity' status and ‘nasty jibe at party' for drink driving

INFLUENCER Gabriella Bardsley blamed her 'quasi-celebrity' status and hurtful jibes made at a party for her drink-driving, a court heard. The 23-year-old, daughter of Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley, was more than three times over the limit when stopped by cops near home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in May. 5 Lawyer Gary Hughes claimed she had driven her car after fleeing a pal's party when someone recognised her from ITVX reality series The Bardsley Bunch and made rude comments. She was pulled over after driving through a police blockade at an accident site. Mr Hughes said: 'Some people who were uninvited identified her as somebody who was on TV in a TV series.' 'They decided to take it upon themselves to begin making hurtful jibes towards Ms Bardsley. 'She recognises it was a colossal error of judgment to leave the party impetuously and get in her car.' He added: 'It's wasn't a flagrant disregard for the law. 'It was borne out of a set of circumstances and her quasi-celebrity status.' Bardsley had previously admitted drink-driving at South Cheshire magistrates' court. Yesterday, she got a 29-month road ban and must do 200 hours of unpaid work. Bardsley made no comment as she left court but tried to hide from waiting photographers by using an umbrella. Gabriella Bardsley blamed her 'quasi-celebrity' status for drink-driving to escape from party after fellow guests targeted her with 'upsetting taunts'

Influencer Gabriella Bardsley got into her car while drunk and drove off from a party after receiving 'hurtful jibes' about her 'quasi-celebrity' status, a court heard today. The 23-year-old, daughter of Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley, was more than three times over the limit when she was stopped by police. Appearing before South Cheshire Magistrates' Court in Crewe today, Bardsley - who had been tipped to be part of this year's Love Island line-up - was sentenced to a driving ban and ordered to carry out community service. At an earlier hearing last month, magistrates were told she was in her Audi A3 when she attempted to drive through a 'police blockade' at the scene of a road traffic collision in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on May 11. Scott Woodward, prosecuting, told the court yesterday that Bardsley also drove around a recovery truck which had its lights on, that was also blocking the highway before stopping when a police officer gestured for her to pull in. Mr Woodward said: 'It was evident she was under the influence of alcohol.' During the earlier hearing, the court was told how Bardsley was visibly intoxicated, 'slurring her words' and 'struggling' to stand on her feet. After a road-side breath test, Bardsley was taken to a police station and was found to have 122 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - the UK legal limit being 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milligrams of breath. Bardsley, who stood in the dock in a white top and trousers, pleaded guilty to charge of drink-driving at the earlier hearing last month. Her lawyer Gary Hughes claimed she only got in her car after fleeing a friend's party when someone recognised her from the ITVX series The Bardsley Bunch, in which she stars alongside her mum, her stepdad and ex-Manchester United footballer Phil Bardsley and younger brothers Rocco, Renz and Ralphi. Mr Hughes said: 'Some people who were uninvited identified her as somebody who was on TV in a TV series. 'They decided to take it upon themselves to begin making hurtful jibes towards Ms Bardsley. 'She recognises it was a colossal error of judgment to leave the party impetuously and get in her car.' He added: 'It's wasn't a flagrant disregard for the law. It was borne out of a set of circumstances and her quasi-celebrity status.' Earlier, Mr Hughes told magistrates that Bardsley had been the 'subject of pressure from some quarters' due to her fame. 'She's been the subject off highly disparaging reports across her social media platforms,' he said. 'It has been a difficult couple of weeks for her.' Gabriella dressed in a white top and trousers as she received her punishment for drink-driving Bardsley had also been the target of a 'a number of upsetting taunts', he said, while 'some of the more unscrupulous members of the public are praying for her downfall'. But Mr Hughes said his client accepted responsibility for her actions and there was not question of a 'lack of humility'. He also pointed to her 'bonafide sense of contrition' and 'hitherto good character'. Magistrates said they had considered the option of a jail sentence but also taken account of her previous good character. They handed Bardsley, of Wilmslow, a 12-month community order and she was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work. She was also disqualified from driving for 29 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge. Bardsley made no comment as she left court this morning but tried to hide from waiting photographers by using an umbrella held by her biological father. But she turned round to look at a group of men, who were sat on bench drinking lager, when they shouted at her as she walked away. Speaking of the family's new TV series she added: 'Gabriella just lives in fairy land anyway. 'So it's just another nice thing, you know, a little fairy land.' Her brush with the law comes after ITV bosses axed Kyle Ashman from this year's line-up following his arrest over a machete attack in February. The 23-year-old was later released with no further action, taking to Instagram to insist: 'I'm not a bad guy.' Tanya married Phil in 2014 and the couple have three sons - Rocco, 15, Renz, 12, and Ralphi, five - and she is also mother of Gabriella from a previous relationship. The Kardashian-style TV series about the family follows the ups and downs of the couple's life with their children and Tanya's parents. In an interview with OK! Magazine, Tanya described them as 'more like the Clampetts who won the lottery' than the Kardashians. Rocco, 16, received an ADHD diagnosis shortly after Tanya shared her own back in 2020. She has said they live in a house where 'everyone is on the spectrum somewhere'. A production team installed GoPro cameras throughout their home and placed small microphones in plant pots and on picture frames to capture the family's life. Last month Tanya - who made her TV debut on The Real Housewives of Cheshire in 2015 - revealed how two masked men attempted to break into her £2million mansion while her family slept. Luckily the gang were scared off before they were able to break into the property.

Rumoured Love Island bombshell Gabriella Bardsley is seen for the first time since trying to break through police blockade in her Audi

Gabriella Bardsley was seen for the first time on Wednesday since trying to break through police blockade in her Audi. The rumoured Love Island bombshell, 23, admitted drink-driving after she was caught nearly three-and-a-half times over the limit. Gabriella appeared in high spirits during a shopping trip to Costco with a family member, who gave her a lift there. She cut a casual figure in cream skin-tight yoga pants and a cropped hoodie, teamed with a white sports bra and trainers. The daughter of Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley had been tipped to be part of this year's Love Island line-up. Gabriella - currently starring alongside the rest of her family in ITVBe reality series The Bardsley Bunch - has previously turned down invitations to go on the dating show, according to her mother. But a court heard how she was 'slurring her words' and 'struggling' to stand after being stopped by police in her Audi A3 in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on May 11. She approached the scene of a road traffic collision and 'attempted to drive through the police blockade', Crewe Magistrates' Court heard. Charlie Hayward, prosecuting, said when officers approached her she was visibly intoxicated. She refused a road-side breath test and was taken to a nearby police station and was found to have 122 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath - the legal limit in England and Wales being 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Bardsley, who stood in the dock in a black jacket and white trousers, pleaded guilty when the charge of drink-driving was put to her. Her lawyer Gary Hughes told the court that she was of 'hitherto good character'. He asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by a female probation officer due to 'matters that are sensitive to the defendant'. 'These are issues that can be ventilated at sentencing,' he said. Mr Hughes added that he hoped the author of the report would have a community order at the 'forefront of their mind' when recommending a sentence. Magistrates adjourned the case and Bardsley will be sentenced on July 14. But they handed her an interim driving ban and she sobbed as she left court comforted by her father. Bardsley could face an unlimited fine and/or disqualification from driving following her guilty plea. The influencer was rumoured to appear on this summer's Love Island as recently as April. 'Gabriella's already said no to Love Island and we do need to get her a boyfriend,' Tanya, 44, told Closer Magazine. Speaking of the family's new TV series she added : 'Gabriella just lives in fairy land anyway. 'So it's just another nice thing, you know, a little fairy land.' Tanya Bardsley horrified as '20-year-old filler scraped out' during face lift

EXCLUSIVE: Tanya Bardsley has revealed that while under the knife for a cosmetic procedure, her surgeon dragged out two-decade-old filler from her face, leaving her with a new look Tanya Bardsley had 20 year old filler scraped out from her face during a surgical procedure. The former model and reality star has never shied away from discussing her surgical enhancements and believes people in the public eye should be more open about work they've had done. Last year, Tanya had a mid-face lift after noticing her "jowls just dropped" while dealing with perimenopause symptoms and had initially planned to have a full facelift. But her surgeon warned her against this and stated she only needed minor work done. In the past, Tanya, 44, has had filler injected into her face, but had no idea that it lay dormant in the areas it was injected. ‌ "I started looking like a bulldog," she said of her face before going under the knife. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Tanya added: "I just thought 'I'm not having this anymore, I feel terrible and I can't control it, but I can control these chops' I'd heard great things about Mr Rao – I didn't have the full face lift. ‌ "I went in saying I wanted the full and he said I needed the mid. There's only so much filler, I was starting to look a bit Hey Arnold-y, so he did the mid facelift and he just sewed muscles back to where they were, so I had actual cheekbones and not just filler ones. "He was dragging out 20-year-old filler, scraping it out which was amazing. It's just like starting again – you can't keep pumping it full of filler and Mr Rao is just amazing, he did all these pre-videos and everything. I was deciding for a good year because I'm impulsive. I have to tell myself I need to wait a year now." Mr Rao at Pall Mall Medical, where Tanya had her procedure, informed her afterwards that her two-decade-old filler was "like concrete". Speaking of her perimenopausal symptoms, Tanya explained: "The skin changes, everything drops, your soul drops, your personality drops, and the jowls drop. "I was trying to control the others with hormones and stuff, but I could control lifting the face a little bit, which did lift my spirits." The model admits she was "over the moon" with the results after the treatment from Pall Mal. "You have to have your expectations, which Pall Mall are really good at." ‌ Her daughter, Gabriella, 23, had also visited Pall Mall for a breast lift but decided against it after being told the "realistic" options for the procedure. "The surgeon talked her out of it," Tanya said, adding: "Her expectations could never be achieved without certain scars." But with the rise of more people going under the knife, Tanya said: "If I want it, I'm going to have it, and if someone doesn't want it, that's fine, it's up to them. I think women should support women. I'm always 100 per cent open about everything that I have done. I'm not a gatekeeper, and I don't want girls thinking, 'Why's her face like that and mine's not?' I want to be open – I've had it lifted and a bit chopped off." ‌ Away from surgery, despite appearing on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, Tanya and her family recently starred in their own ITV reality show, The Bardo Bunch, which has been commissioned by Hayu to be streamed across the globe. "I'm so grateful," she said of the news. She added: "I did a happy dance. It's just gone down a storm, I was panicking, I knew everyone would love my family as much as I do but I thought 'What if everyone hates it? What if everyone hates my family? What if everyone hates me?' Then I thought 'Are my kids going to hate me? Are they gonna get trolled?' but everyone loves it. "Every single comment, I've not had one bad comment. I can't even tell you what it means to me and the family." Although it's on the same platform as The Kardashians, Tanya admits her family are quite different to the Los Angeles natives. Her husband, Macclesfield FC assistant manager Phil Bardsley, would "never" film with Tanya on Housewives. "It took a long time to get him on it, and he still cringes when he watches himself. I think he's really good," she said, adding that Phil became more relaxed during filming. "I think there's plenty more for Phil to come."
